I love it. OMG Twinkie is the best singer, songwriter, pianist, organist, and arranger that ever lived. Twinkie has a range that is crazy, a style that is unimaginable, the fingerz that will put any pisnist to shame. Twinkie is a treat to everybody in the music business right now.
I actually still sing this song myself at the church that I serve as Minister of Music and the Lord really moves during the alter call at time when I'm lead to sing it ......... Thanks for posting this song I was simply going off of what I remember and I did pretty good LOL with recolecting the words lol
THEY SOUND SO GOOD!! As always.. But I want the original ALBUMS so bad! Especially this one! Someone needs to make them available!!! Jacky is singing tenor right? Cause she is KILLING!!
@@jtkennedy6770 no actually back in the day when Twinkie lead dorinda would sing the tenor and she would do the lead and the background. When they did 4 part harmony Jacky would sing the tenor note and Twinkie would do the bass.
Actually Emil, and I hear this alot on youtube. The majority of the years that the clark sisters have been together, Jacky sung alto with Dorinda. Twinkie carried that tenor note the majority of the time. Who can ablib and still sing background and beat the organ ( in a good way)? Only Twinkie Clark. These days, starting with the live one last time album Jacky was singing tenor. Listen to some late 80's and 90's clark performances. Even when twinkie left Jackie still sung alto with dorinda! :)
muzikmajor09 Dorinda actually sang tenor when ever Twinkie was leading and even now her and Jackie switch between alto and tenor depending on how well there voices are at the moment.
It sounds like Denise is on the soprano by herself! She sounds so good!
THIS PROVES That Twinkie and her sisters are ICONS!
Man hold up!!! Twinkie was doing the doggone thing. 18 years old! 👏

I first heard this off of the "Best" album. The orignals are of course different.

It's sounds like Twinkie was also inspired by teddy pendergrass cuz the song sounds exactly like Harold Melvin and the blue notes
