Sometimes I see a score video that I am initially reluctant to watch, due to my prejudicial distaste for some time periods, style movements, genres, etc, but some force compels me to listen to it because I might miss out if I don’t. I am thankful for this impulse within me.

It was interesting to read the program note after listening to the piece. She really does have a strikingly original voice. It reminds me of something Rostropovich said about DSCH - "He takes enough material for an overcoat and somehow makes a circus tent."
