Housefires' prayer is that these songs would spark fires that burn bright in ordinary houses all over the world. That you would be awake to God in every part of your life...the polished and the ordinary.
I sometimes hear my teenage daughter crying out in her room, with this song blasting. This was before I started listening to it. And she would cry and cry and cry, I believe God was healing her during those times.. I haven't heard her in a while. But now we listen to this song together.. And now I know why she loves this song. The lyrics are on point. It's anointed to heal. Amen
It's an amazing, beautiful, truly Annointed moment of worship. For sure the Lord Almighty gave this song for healing and to help us deal with those trials that require patient endurance to get through it all. But speaking honestly for myself I really love this group of people and Kirby is a personal favorite... She shines with the Lord's light. Be blessed always....

When I first heard the line "Jesus what a brother" in this song. I knew this song would be apart of my healing process. Viewing Jesus as brother never crossed my mind, but when i think of brotherly love I now think of Him. My earthly brother might have failed me, but the love of Jesus is healing me from it. I've never known a love that was so fierce and gentle all at the same time until He encountered me. He wants to do the same for you -- all He wants is your yes!
Thank you for sharing, yes I felt the same, never did the thought cross mind that God can be my brother and my friend also the most beautiful lifter of the lowly I thought wow how could this be. This song is definitely anointed to change hearts and minds from perceiving the earthly reality of how people have treated us in the past, how that was wrong and impacted our perspective, and how Jesus is completely different than that, we haven't known a love like His, it's so different

Literally the best way to end a hectic, busy, discouraging day. Just sit in silence, with a cup of tea, and watch as God moves powerfully through these lyrics and melodies in this 12mins. There was a period of time where I felt the lowest and loneliest and where I was just greatly in emotional pain. I couldn't talk it out to anyone, no one would understand- this was too personal of an issue to share to anyone. This song came at those dark hours and served as a reminder towards how much a comforter and a friend Jesus can be and is. My life has greatly changed ever since the first listen. The line "I've never known a love like yours...." strikes mi hart errrrrtaim. Such abundant and overwhelming love... we don't deserve it... we don't know it... but we already have it. I first encountered this song in the bathroom of my hospital room after I had given birth to my firstborn at the beginning of last year. Unbeknownst to me, my mom was telling my husband and his parents just outside the room that my brother had committed suicide that morning. I wouldn't know for a couple of days, since they thought it would be better for me to wait until my baby was out of the NICU. This was also not two weeks after the sudden and traumatic passing of my dog, who I was still grieving.
It was a lot.
But this song stuck with me because I had a rough relationship with my brother. I wanted us to be close but there was always something keeping us from that. I had never really thought of Jesus as my brother until then, but hearing this song at that time was like him stepping in and hugging me just like a brother should.
Since then, through all of the crazy of the last year, I look back at this song and just feel such an intimate, gentle presence of the Holy Spirit and I am so thankful for his presence.
I’m so sorry for your loss😞 I thank God stepping in and comforting you
