I hope spurs draft Holland and Castle they're both excellent defender. I believe shooting can be learned but being a great defender is in the attitude of the player. So go for the great defender players. Go Spurs Go!!!

The problem with "win now" is that the Spurs need so many upgrades to compete in the West and not a lot of places to get them. We need a really good point guard. We need to upgrade shooting across the board. We need better wing defenders.
I think we could realistically target Darius Garland for a trade that doesn't involve sending out an insane number of assets. I think Wemby's seasonal shooting percentages hide how well he shot after the New Year. So, of our starters, that would be three players shooting well. If we could trade for an excellent 3&D wing, I think our starting five would be pretty solid. If Sochan can just get over 1 point-per-attempted-3, they'll be fearsome.
However, that's a lot of if's for one summer.

I mean Spurs usually know how to make picks. If they see something in someone that makes them want to trade up, there could be something there. Plus the possible instant chemistry with being French?
Putting Sochan in a trade after « force » him to play as a PG will be insane!
For me it’s a prof that he is fully in the future the team. You don’t spoil 20 games to teach something to a player to trade him right after.
Sochan should develop into that Aaron Gordon, Draymond green, naz reid role.
Don’t see him as a superstar talent

Wembys rookie year was a soft tank. The best lineup they had was actually played the least.

SOCHAN learned so damn much last year before his injury, he wil play that small 4 and be on the beat defender and now we can tryst him with the ball a bit more in the offensive and a bench that xan be lwad by a twernty point scorer in keldon... The Spurs might need one upgrade veteran but they don't need somebody elses STAR who if they were stars they wouldnt be on the chopping table. Garland is overpriced and too injury prone, just check his average games played per year over the past four years. That with the playoff inconsistency leads me to believe that we need to wait a lil longer for a pg position

Clan, I'm so tired of you and other spurs content creators keep talking about who's a good defender we need shooters, not good defenders. Minnesota Timberwolves was the best defensive team and got molly whop by dallas. And sochan a good defender but teams leaving him alone at the three point line. because he can't shoot. Wemby needs shooters all around him not defenders who can't shoot. And it's not like teams locking down spurs offense the spurs just missing wide open shots.
Terrible take, shooting is something the Spurs develop. You cant "teach" a defensive mindset but you can make any average shooter better. They arent in Win Now mode so just enjoy the ride as these kids find their shots.
