Very informative video of the historic city of Koper a port city in Slovenia, on the country's Adriatic coastline. Its medieval old town centers around Titov Trg, a square with such Venetian-influenced landmarks as the Praetorian Palace and a Gothic-style loggia. Nearby Da Ponte Fountain is a replica of Venice's famed Rialto Bridge. Rebuilt many times, the circa-12th-century Cathedral of the Assumption featuring a tall campanile with sweeping bay views. Very interesting and informative video !

Hi, I grew up in the USA, I now live in London (for the time being, until they kick all of us out due to Brexit).. I have been to over 140 countries and the list of countries that I liked is long - such as Norway, Jordan, USA, South Africa, Peru, Guatemala, India and so many others). Remember, every country is beautiful, it is the people that make countries ugly..
@@blackadster. you are ridicolous!!! It's an italian city since 2000 years, it was for the majority italian until 1947, stop denying the evidenze in this way. Instead of make as a point of efforce the diversity, you invent a history never existed! This city was ethnically and culturally italian. You weren't present in this city. Stop saying antihistorical thing, an insult to the exodus!
Vic Stefany nice video...If you want to talk about history of Koper you need to learn more about it..One of the most important things about this city is the contribution of Albanian nobles.
nothing to do with Venice, no building, no flair, no name. no language, no history. no even square o Loggia ( whats is the Slovenian or Croatian for loggia? ) tja.....

Hello, thank you for watching my videos!! 👍👍👍
Koper is in Slovenia so I guess you should say KOPER all the time, that is the correct name.
Thank you for your comments!!
Koper is still in Istria...so the correct name is Koper or Capodistria.
Capodistria was stolen by slovenian
@@sator3946 It was never Italian. It was a slavic town under Venetian control, so they built a lot of Venetian stuff.

What you see is all Italian and Venetian and has nothing to do with Slovenia. Capdistria us a 100% italian town, we can see it on every building.
You are right, I just realised the title was wrong, it has now been changed, thank you!
Vic Stefany nice video...If you want to talk about history of Koper you need to learn more about it..One of the most important things about this city is the contribution of Albanian nobles.
And how did the Albanians contribute, historically speaking, to Koper??
Albanian contribute? The only historical contribute here is from Venice time...
Give a look at the viedo below...is with slovenian subtitles and listen your historians what they say.
capodistria was part of serenissima...dont need to look at video below...
100 meters in hight? 43 meters rather...
Ok, thank you for the correction!!!
