THEONLYCRUNCHYBUNS S.C.A.V.A is another beautiful example of this. But yeah, they tend to swing between reckless partying, aggression, and reflection/meditation. I honestly feel a little sad for them because songs like this reveal a lot of emptiness in their lives. Still beautiful though.
Like how HU writes by heart, unlike most others. If they fucking feel like partying and chugging beer they'll make song 'bout it. But then there are those songs, filled with emotions, those are made when they are depressed about something... They simply write and sing by heart.
And then they put them in the albums where they flow very well, like in V, right after Ghost Beach plays Broken Record, which has the introduction play the last few second of Ghost Beach but as if it were on a broken record. Honestly, I think they should've ended the album with We Own the Night.

A very close friend of mine passed recently and she loved HU. Particularly this song and young. It's crazy how much the lyrics speak to me right now. I been listening to these two songs on repeat for the past 2 days now because they remind me of her and the good times we had. Alright so this is my view... In J3T's first verse it mentions him not knowing where he came from, like he's putting himself in the shoes of an orphan looking for his possible family. In another part he mentions "Bury me in red, white, and a side of blue" which could mean he's put himself in the shoes of an ex-marine who lost his life in battle. When he talks about being a shadow and "I'm just a voice in a choir of saints" he could be taking about how no one pays attention. Like no one really knows or cares about anyone until they've found out that there died. Even then we're eventually forgotten right? I don't know, that's just what I think but I could be wrong.

Charlie Scene, J3T and Danny are my favorites. I really love how Charlie Scene has changed since the Swan Songs days. He's a great rapper, but also a great singer, and when Deuce was the lead singer, Charlie never really sang, but now with Danny, he gets his chance as well and I'm happy for that. Rain, Bullet, I'll Be There and Gotta Let Go are some of my favorite HU songs.

What many people don’t realize what one of this songs meaning is. It’s talked about how many young service members in the military die at a young age in J3T verse. There’s a saying “In peace sons bury fathers but in war fathers bury sons.” , how the governments looks at us members as just numbers. In the end of J3T verse. Then in Charlie’s verse how many of our veterans end up homeless or alone in a home with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) such as some members are retired NCOs (non-commissioned officers) seeing their joes (aka lower enlisted) die in front of them or blame themselves for not being able to bring them home alive. Or how some joes see their entire platoon wiped out. Just how many end up taking their own lives. This is why one of my favorite songs of Hollywood undead because it shows that they do care about us military members.

Am I the only one who views this song to veterans? I see everyone saying they can relate but, listen. "Run like a child do you know what I came from?' asks the veteran. "No I don't, but I'm singing all the same songs." says a person speaking to the veteran, thinking they've been through what the veteran has. "I'm alone and you're looking for your anyone." replies the veteran, pointing out he has nothing- not even love. And the speaker does. "Does it hurt just to know that it's all gone?" asks the speaker. My assumption here is that hu is pointing out that when veterans get back from the military, they have nothing and no support, and it's messed up. Also, "Buried in red, white, inside some blue. Some will die too late, and somebody too soon." As in the United Sates flag. And young people go to war and may not come back, and they never get recognized. While people they get no support from, the civilians, grow old because they've been protected. "Oh all the souls that nobody can save, and just like a light, we faded way." because we've lost so many soldiers, and their life only faded away with no recognition.

Charlie Scene, J3T and Danny are my favorites. I really love how Charlie Scene has changed since the Swan Songs days. He's a great rapper, but also a great singer, and when Deuce was the lead singer, Charlie never really sang, but now with Danny, he gets his chance as well and I'm happy for that. Rain, Bullet, I'll Be There and Gotta Let Go are some of my favorite HU songs.

No matter what happens, this will always be the song that saves me
What many people don’t realize what one of this songs meaning is. It’s talked about how many young service members in the military die at a young age in J3T verse. There’s a saying “In peace sons bury fathers but in war fathers bury sons.” , how the governments looks at us members as just numbers. In the end of J3T verse. Then in Charlie’s verse how many of our veterans end up homeless or alone in a home with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) such as some members are retired NCOs (non-commissioned officers) seeing their joes (aka lower enlisted) die in front of them or blame themselves for not being able to bring them home alive. Or how some joes see their entire platoon wiped out. Just how many end up taking their own lives. This is why one of my favorite songs of Hollywood undead because it shows that they do care about us military members.

holy shit i love Charlie's singing here, like it's so calming and beautiful
HU is so weird with the lyrics. They can go from one super shallow song with lyrics like: "I can't stop saying dick dick dick and then cock hick a dickery dick a dick a dickary dock" to super fucking deep lyrics. Also Danny's high notes in this song are killer.

Am I the only one who views this song to veterans? I see everyone saying they can relate but, listen.
"Run like a child do you know what I came from?' asks the veteran.
"No I don't, but I'm singing all the same songs." says a person speaking to the veteran, thinking they've been through what the veteran has.
"I'm alone and you're looking for your anyone." replies the veteran, pointing out he has nothing- not even love. And the speaker does.
"Does it hurt just to know that it's all gone?" asks the speaker. My assumption here is that hu is pointing out that when veterans get back from the military, they have nothing and no support, and it's messed up.
Also,
"Buried in red, white, inside some blue. Some will die too late, and somebody too soon." As in the United Sates flag. And young people go to war and may not come back, and they never get recognized. While people they get no support from, the civilians, grow old because they've been protected.
"Oh all the souls that nobody can save, and just like a light, we faded way." because we've lost so many soldiers, and their life only faded away with no recognition.
