In this clip Alvin Guinanao, Chief Instructor of Silat Open Circle - Presents "Jurus & Kembangan". Recorded live at his evening class in Burnt Oak, Edgware.
In "Jurus & Kembangan" (clip) you'll begin to understand the Key Core Principles of Silat Open Circle all connect together in a fluid, circular motion called "gelek". Jurus (combination of postures and movements) are a way to remember movements, develop structure, balance and a way to develop own body awareness. Kembangan is a free flow dance developing students own creativity and spontaneous way of moving through SBL. Towards the end of Silat Open Circle Kembangan becomes the main part of training.
You can now come and experience Silat Open Circle in person at Alvin's SBL school in Burnt Oak. The class is open to all martial artist of all levels, both male and female.
