Butcher’s broom has great medicinal constituents for blood vessels, and circulation; for lack of appetite; a diuretic in dropsy and urinary obstructions. Culpepper also reports that it is used to knit together bones and joints, opening the skin and kidneys, and the liver or gall ducts… also reducing swellings glands(lymphatic glands).. similar to yam, for reducing inflammation and haemorrhage; varicose veins and haemorrhoids. Also works on Gravel and edema and arthritis… it is indeed a miracle plant. The herbalists use the fresh root boiling with water uses as decoction. It is still used in the modern pharmacy. You are welcome.
Nice and unusual plant/bush. Are they easy to propagate from seed or cuttings? I think a lot of plant collectors would love to add this to theirs. I know I certainly wouldn't mind. I did a quick search to see how available the plant is in Australia. To my surprise, it is used as a medicinal plant for many ailments. Odd none of which was mentioned at all in the video blog. But it is much easier to purchase a product with the plant base in it than purchasing the actual plant itself.
