Personally, it’s actually a good thing that there is paywall because the game needs funding to continue. However, there should be more uniforms that should be close to paywall in certain content. For example, if you don’t have summer days Luna then Spider-Gwen is a good substitute for speed human female days and other requirements. Edit: Me personally, I am getting Psylocke because I have always been a fan of the character since her old X of Destiny uniform. I skipped the Hellfire Gala uniform because it looked so cheesy for such an abysmal upgrade.
I don't have a problem with the concept of the paywall uniforms because you're not just getting the uniform for 20 bucks. You spend money on other things you want to in order to get a uniform you want. I think that's fair. I have 2 issues with the uniforms. 1, outdated uniforms like Silk and Enchantress or Iceman shouldn't cost the same years later, especially when they don't even have any support value. And 2, when you only give some of these characters a holiday uniform, you make them effectively useless for everyone that didn't buy it. What can I do with a Gwenpool or Santana if I didn't get their holiday uniform? I don't think any character should be completely useless in that way. I think there should be some sort of weaker synergy version of these uniforms that is accessible to all players
the biggest misconception i hear over and over again is that f2p players do not support the game while those who spend do. This types of games do not really have any trashold or limit at which point they are contend with the income, on the contrary the more one spend the more they monetize, meaning it is literary the bottomless pit, they will try to squeeze as much profit as they can. Spending is not related only to the quality of the game but also to a psychology of a person marketing, and their ability to manipulate it. meaning spenders do not necessarily support betterment of the game with their money but some would argue they are actually slowly killing the game. F2p players and small spenders, as they are always the majority of users, are actually the ones that keep game going, without their numbers the game would die very soon. conclusion, is that monetization can be a part of the game but to much of it will actually kill any game
though I find your point very valid in that there is no threshold and the more you spend the more they are encouraged to charge. Surely you realize without spending the game would die, games like this live from profit. The money they have to work with, pays for the development teams salary. There is no ad advertisement income from the game, so if everyone stopped spending anything the game would shut down. there is benefit from free to play as far as having a large player base, and I think small spenders is contribution. If over 60% of the player base that never spent a dime just up and quiet it would 100% impact the game. Its difficult to skate that razor line between spending enough to have the game exist at all and encouraging them to throw out paid content.
@@blazedragongaming5365 I agree with your assessment, but the problem lies elsewhere, namely the business model this type of games voluntarily choose. They intentionally incorporate various monetization/psychological aspects into the game to incite non-stop spending and render the game basically unenjoyable for everyone else who does not spend. There is probably hardly anyone who thinks that this game with 100 mln downloads cannot survive and thrive let's say if they make monthly payment $10 mandatory (or any kind of similar payment methods). Instead their business model relies on the same tactics as gambling industry. This is a short lived strategy, that is why this kind of games do not survive for long. This game, i think, survived precisely because content was never paywalled and ppl could do anything by just grinding. The recent tendencies, which you yourself so eloquently described in your video is a turn towards the demise.
The one Captain Marvel uni was not paywall per se... there was a puzzle game that they did and the person that had all the pieces got the uni. I have only seen it once in the game and that was in World Event by the whale that won the uni all those years ago. She is of no use now as she has all of OG Marvel's BASE stats
@@blazedragongaming5365 I'm almost positive it was a one shot deal... Kinda like how they do collector's vault w the Veteran CTP, but it wasn't a reoccurring thing and they marked it permanently unavailable after the winner won. @@PancakeDiaries ah, I'm not a fan of her personally but I have every other uniform in the game...1 is unobtainable drives me nuts cause the game tells me I am missing one...
Hey. I think paylocke’s 3rd skill is not doing all its damage after first raor or in the first light phase. You can check. Only use 3rd skill and get away with 2nd skill. You’ll see there is no damage by water tornado
Hello brother, I would like to ask, how good is psylocke really? does she eclipse human torch for wbl and have better value than summer uni dtorm? Thank you in advance brother
sure, I get the tokens for the uniform tuesday I believe as the daily check in reward. I'll give it a go and compare. I don't have torch at t4 but can compare before I t4 her.
@@zephgaming3670 will be posted sometime today. doesn't seem like a huge difference honestly not for WBL at t3, they seem fairly close. some WBL one had an edge over the other. but as I said in the video I'll post. its not worth $20 USD to me just for WBL for psylocke.
It's fine with paywall uniforms but they must make it available for crystals next year instead of keeping it paywall
makes sense to me

ah very good point if you don't get the uniform the characters almost become unusable.
Enchantress non seasonal uniform is still very much meta to the point that it isnt suggested to buy her seasonal uni.
