- I wanted to take this Film noir-inspired vintage image of model Emily Reinhard and create an even more vintage wet-plate photo look. I initially I created the vintage look Black and white treatment in DxO Film Pack 7, check out the video on that (will put a link below), then using various panels and edits in Nik Collection 7 Analog Effects to create the perfect wet-plate look for this photo.

Big fan
thank you so much.
It doesn’t look like a wet plate. Have you seen a wet plate?
Yes I have seen wetplate, there are varying degrees of what wetplate can look like. Not all of it has big drips and mess. The beauty of digital efex like NIK you can do how however you like.
@@JuliePowellPhotos I don’t know about big drips or mess. But I have never seen a wet plate look like what you did. You might want to really look at a wet plate. Either an ambrotype or a tintype. Look at the backing. Understand a wet plate then recreate it.
@@jharvell1166 Hey, I'm not trying to do exact replica, just explaining how the effect works and what people can do with it. You want perfection try looking at Modern Wet Plate Photographers, as opposed to retouchers and digital artists
@@JuliePowellPhotos oh. I thought you were trying to replicate a wet plate. Sorry.
just a stylised wet plate 'look'
