I like how everyone is finally talking about the o line. Lmao me and a bunch of others have been calling it out as a problem even when Justin was the QB
The difference is that The O line under JF was able to RUN protect… Under CW they can’t even do that.. Under JF the O line needed to protect for 3.5 seconds under CW they just need 2.9 seconds.. since JF needed 3.2 seconds to throw while CW needs 2.7 to throw… and Thats the difference
Per ESPN analytics the Bears OL was top 5 in both run block win rate and pass block win rate. Heading into this season, PFF ranked the Bears OL 11th in the NFL. Tevin Jenkins when healthy has been a borderline elite guard. Tevin has been bad the first 2 weeks of this season. Not sure what the issue is, but I am leaning toward coaching and possibly scheme. Way too many penalties and missed blocks. Nate Davis for most of his career before joining the Bears has been a top 15 to 20 guard in the NFL. There is an issue that needs to be solved. Just not sure if it can be fixed in season.
Lol the offense lines seemed better in the run and sometimes in the pass because of justin..you had to rush him with discipline they just T off now on CW
@@paulieprinceton4550a great case on why pff isn’t perfect if you’re going by that stat rather than watching the oline than you would be wrong even these two former players are telling you they are and were a problem
I don’t understand this, feels like everyone is just trying to take victory laps with misleading information. The line wasn’t perfect but it was middle of the pack at times last season, it’s completely worse this season so far in weeks 1 and 2. We had gaps in the run game last season for our backs to run through, this season not even one hole can be created let alone block a stunt or pass rush. This unit is worse than last season so far.
Poles has not been able to figure out our woes since he came on board. Fields has a great ability to escape which takes a lot of pressure away from the bums on our line, but Caleb simply cannot escape the pocket at the same level as Fields can. His inability to do that highlights our offensive woes even more.
I think it’s Chris Morgan honestly which yes is still technically Poles because you need a new coach but prime example of why we need a new OLine coach? Saints have a dominant OLine so far this season. Best performing lineman right now? Lucas Patrick.
Watch Tim Jenkins. You will all feel better. ‘Everybody is better than we thought.’. Chill I’m back to week 4 or 5 for things to settle down. We’re close.
Remember when fans and media anointed little Caleb as generational after a few preseason throws against two’s and three’s in preseason lol. Does anyone have a memory or does it reset every season?
Darnell Mooney a human highlight reel in Philly tonight. In an interview during the summer, Mooney said that Getsy and Eberflus were under orders to throw to the players that Poles had picked.
Briggs underscores a good question: Should Caleb be playing right now while the oline is still learning to gel? I think this same Bears team wins either of those games with any other QB back there, and that's due to inexperience. Tyson wins that game Sunday.
I like what Pat the Designer said in his post game last night. “Ryan Poles stop picking lineman that play like you”. Someone go give Kyle Long and Olin Kreutz a blank check to come in with whatever assistants they want and have someone who can actually teach these dipshits. Chris Morgan is obviously horrible. Lucas Patrick is the best lineman and a dominant Saints line. That right there alone should show Poles enough to have Morgan out the door today.
Lance said Offenses can only take what Defenses allow. That's not 100% true, a good offense line may not be able to dictate what the defense does but they can at least set things the things the defense can't do or risk getting beat. The single biggest problem is the O-line is bad at everything, they can't run or pass block. On run blocking they can't block between the tackles and when they pull and block they fall down or miss their assignment. That allows the defense to do what ever they want, for one thing they can stack the box and blitz over and over because there's simply not enough time to make them pay. Somebody call Jason Kelce, throw a crap ton of money at him to come play center for a year.
LaTyre Carter was an excellent back up G and we cut him this year....make it make sense? I agree cutt Davis. I don't want anyone here that doesn't wanna put in the effort!!
Glad they corrected carm on his ridiculous take over Flus not calling people out. #2. Replace Nate Davis with Pryor and the addition by subtraction will be noticeable
We need an offense line coach. Do we actually have an olc ? What’s his name ??? Next up, Will Caleb go on IR ???? Damn I’m gettin pissed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need interior lineman, a center and at least one guard preferably somebody I can play left guard so we can kick Teven Jenkins over to right guard I was your drive to the center last year in the second and third rounder I understand a picks were limited , but we could’ve figured it out with picks from this year
I just watched the all 22 film and 100% confirmed Oline is hot garbage across the board. Everyone missed assignments. Special lack of blocking goes to 64, 65 and 76, Jenkins, Davis, and Center I believe firing out to get blocked on 2nd level for running plays then literally touching no one repeatedly one or all 3 were guilty of this hot garbage on every single inside run play and Jones couldn’t move anyone off the line of scrimmage. In pass pro the interior line constantly gave up ground and got beat with a free runner almost every time they pulled a stunt or twist or moved around doing anything at all to confuse the Oline. The OT’s were getting bullied all game. When Williams even had a little time he looked poised and making strikes especially early in the game.
Fields idiots in these comments because we decide to bring Briggs in 5 times a week for whatever reason. Had to skip today’s podcast… let them do their own
Really get old Lance, number one pick! Number one pick! What the hell 55? In your world all number 1 picks played perfectly from game one? Pathetic take 55. And you’re my favorite analyst next to Olin. AB you’re 3rd. Well 2nd now! 55, cut the crap, it’s obnoxious man!!
There are layers to everything. Protection is the first layer. When you can protect, you could progress with route runners. Seems running the ball and max protection is overrated with Waldron. he’s a bum I can see it already. Can run the ball. Geyser playing worse instead of better we’re not progressing or going backwards.. Not good
Caleb's floor is where Justin left here at. It's not his ceiling. That's dumb and an exaggeration by a truther. Caleb's ceiling will be higher as a pocket passer. Just give it some more time..
If our offense looks like this again this week flus should really get fired. He should never of kept his job to begin with. We have enough film on him to see he’s not it.
Fields looked a little better with a worse line. Maybe I should be specific... I meant while he played with the Bears his first couple years and part of last year.
Lance Briggs is a clown. Move Davis from RG, the position he's played his whole career, to LG? Doesn't he know that even rookie qb's taken with the 1st pick almost always struggle out of the gate no matter who they are? He adds nothing to the conversation.
They both looked like crap. Lol. I'm starting to think we could have Mahomes and he would struggle as well. We're a horrible franchise on offense. Just sad really
You're mental. The O-line 2 years ago was crap, the O-line last year was crap and the O-line this year, if anything, is actually worse. You have lineman getting pancaked on first contact. You have folks completely lost in space looking around for somebody to block. You have instances of triple teaming while folks come free. It's a failure in system and talent. I watched a lot of games yesterday and last week, the Bears O-line is absolutely terrible. Now that doesn't mean Caleb is the next CJ Stroud or Patrick Mahomes but there is no way you can grade a rookie in week 2 based on performance behind that line. For what it's worth Caleb was 23/37 and CJ was 23/36.
That’s the whole point though how can any QB develop properly behind a bad online. Whether it’s Caleb now or 3 seasons of Fields the oline doesn’t help at all.

Seeing Lance Briggs wear a CHGO hat is still insane to me. You guys are killing it. Proud to see how far you’ve come.
With our poor oline, why would we ever have an empty backfield? Doesn’t make sense…..protection should be first priority
Yeah they are contradicting themselves
Spreads the defense out and makes it more difficult to disguise blitzes

We need to start K Herbert Swift is not it. First contact down every damn time. Ouch. Is not getting it done.
Swift isn’t at fault. OL just isn’t doing their job
@@Mr.Perry33 your not wrong but breaking “a” tackle once an awhile may help a if there is no rhythm the o line will suffer

That LV offense looks a lot better than the Bears offense from last year. O-Line matters the most
Less glitter on the cheeks and more production on the field.

Dont you do that to us, Don’t you dare!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haven't anyone of you seen Dragon Ball Z? Caleb is like Gohan, he needs to get punched in the mouth for awhile until he unleashes his potential.
