thanks for telling everyone about a product that has been around for ages but for new people in hobbies this was a nice thing to do for them
I have seen a few videos where only micro sol was used with good results.
I like your paint work 👍
Is the white unpainted plastic ?
Any worries with it being used on decals on bare unpainted plastic ?
Yup, it is bare unpainted plastic! after putting the decals on, I did to a black wash on it but I think that was after this video. So no worries at all.

Thanks, it's twice the price here in Australia
I want it for vintage slot cars that when I can I leave in raw plastic
Thanks again
@@hodaka1000 I would make sure that you use an overcoat as a protective layer. Like a gloss or semi-gloss clearcoat. The decals do get brittle with time. For a model that will be looked at and not touched its fine, but for a slot car, it will need a protective layer.
Good review man
Microscale also sells direct to the consumer online and over the phone.
you should remake this video with an HD/4k camera and include a demonstration
3:12 lol
Also, good review
What the difference between both bottles
They are different chemicals that work together to give the decal a painted on look. The blue bottle is micro set that helps remove the backing and improves adhesion. The red bottle is micro sol. It softens decals it confirm to irregular surfaces. Gives it that "painted on look"
@@jollyrogerhobbies2386 thank u sir i need to buy the red one i have alot of microset left
@@ameiloruiz5549 You can buy the individual bottles from the company direct, amazon or hooby stores like Hobby Town. probally other places that i have no clue about as well, lol.
Does this protects the image from fading from the decal?
Good question. I really don't know. I've had it on a model for a year now. I haven't noticed any fading, but to be fair, It's in my computer room which is dark and never sees the sunlight.
@@jollyrogerhobbies2386 thank I ask cause I started making custom wresting figures and I been using decal for some of the logo I wanted to look as real as possible
@@hwflive2190 awesome! I wish I had a better answer for you but I really don't know
@@jollyrogerhobbies2386 this video was very helpful makes my decal look real
@@hwflive2190 I really love it, makes the decals like like paint.best product I've ever seen for this application. But I suggest using a clear paint topcoat afterwards to further protect the decals and model
