George Phillips Yep. Rafael Cordeiro of Kings did a great job with helping grapplers on their striking making Werdum and Dos Anjos into dangerous strikers. But yeah, any elite camp. Anything other than Edmund. Ronda would be crazy good had she been training with an elite camp her whole career.

Just to play devil's advocate: Why does everyone keep blaming Edmund for Ronda losing? He was screaming at her to move her head off the center line, to move her head, to clinch, to take Amanda down etc. Those are the exact things any other good coach would yell at her.
I just don't understand why Ronda losing is Edmund's fault. Is it absolutely impossible to think Ronda is just a stubborn, egotistical person who doesn't listen to her coaches?
Because he's the one who convinced a grappler into thinking she was a world class striker. Prior to her loss to Holm 3 out of her 4 fights she won either by TKO or KO, but look at who they were: an Olympic wrestler and two jiu-jitsu stylists (black and blue belt). Not exactly caliber strikers. If we go back one fight even farther it was against Meisha Tate (wrestler). In that fight she struggled trying to out strike Tate.
When she tried to out box Holm you could see the look of "what the fuck?" on her other two (jiu-jitsu & judo) coaches (Rener Gracie and Jacob Flores) faces. They wanted her to stick do what she did best: clinch, throw or sweep and go for the armbar submission. But Edmond being the head coach overruled them and wanted her to strike with Holm.
Same with Amanda Nunes. Granted Nunes is not a world class striker like Holm is, but if you look at her record most of her wins are TKO or KO. Everyone knew she was a better striker. Rousey's problem isn't that she doesn't listen, its that she listens to a guy who has no business coaching people at that level. When people think of legendary fight camps they think of ATT, AKA, Roufus Sport, The Pitt, Jackson Wink, Black House, Tristar, Blackzillians, Chute Boxe, nobody thinks of Glendale Boxing.
Even Joe Rogan who was Rousey's biggest ass kisser, all but said he was basically a fraud. A lot of big name fighters were drawn to Glendale because of Rousey. But after going there went on losing streaks including Rousey's future husband, Travis Browne.
Rousey became a champion in MMA because of her judo skills. Her first 11 fights (pro/am) were won via armbar (and later on a 12th armbar submission over Cat Zingano). She achieved success by doing what she's been doing since she was 11. Not because of Edmond. Like I said her 3 KO/TKO wins were against other grapplers. Her mother is a 7th degree judo black belt and the first American to ever win a world championship in judo (IJF not Olympics). Its easy for you or I or anyone else to say good or bad things about him, but someone of Dr. De Mars credentials telling us he's a fraud I think that's a little different. She's been on the world stage, she's met and trained with world class athletes and coaches. Its also not just Rogan and DeMars, a lot of others like Fabricio Werdum, Eddie Bravo agree he's horrible.
