- Pakistani actor Ahad Raza Mir talks to Haroon Rashid ahead of his film debut in Parwaaz Hai Junoon. They discuss Ahad's rise to fame, his decision to move to Pakistan from Canada and why films offer the progressive representation of women in Pakistan.

I love the way Ahad answer to the questions, he has immense knowledge along with talent, Insha Allah he ll get all the success.
Such maturity and intelligence in his eyes. He does not negate the "shortcomings" in dramas. Neither is he pompous in denying that the kind of success he has gotten in Pakistan, would not have been possible in Hollywood.
Never saw someone gives such honest ans. Bravo Ahad.

Ahad is very humble,decent and sensible person.
This boy Ahad is such a chip of the old block, gentlemanly like his father, but also a greatly loveable person on his own, I'm sure--calm, composed, beautifully restrained and underplayed, oozing poise from every pore, & so choosy about the roles he accepts. Thank God he's returned to his own country to work in Urdu drama. PTV dramas as it is have a lot of class, unlike its films. Keep it up dear boy, you are a part of a highly cultured drama industry. Some old values need to be maintained, even as progress & modernity are ushered in.

Abdul* Ahad Raza Mir (since "AHAD" is one of the 99 Blessed Names of ALLAH SWT , so a person must have Abdul with these names). nice personality. however i would like to point out what was said by the end that 'the film is about a female fighter pilot and shes not wearing a burka'... i understand it was said in a good note to show that Pakistan is not conservative BUTTTT wearing burka is in no way not being liberal or conservative. i dont blame the actor because this is the general idea that people have... but it is wrong. what people dont understand when they associate burka, hijab, niqab, with being conservative is that wearing it is actually an act of 'liberation'! you only see what a burka/abaya/chadar/ clad woman allows you to see... shes in control, is this not liberation? freedom? open minded-ness? so please dont associate it with being conservative. People need to be broad minded now and see that it is not oppression but freedom and many a times a personal choice that girls & women make and people should also remember that it is something meaningful for us...doing it for the pleasure of ALLAH SWT so yeah... maybe some people do it as a cultural thing or idk but im saying this on behalf of those who observe it for religious reasons in their love for ALLAH SWT and to obey HIm. 'there is no compulsion in Religion..... Truth stands out clear from error' :) Peace
