I just bought this on Amazon and felt a bit unsure. Your review gave me peace of mind, I will install this on my PS5 and hopefully it runs smoothly. Thanks for the video. 👍
@@jaschela I got a 4tb external drive for like $70 not a internal SSD I don’t have $300 to spend on it I’ll just wait till Black Friday plus I have more ps4 games than ps5 games at the moment
This is better than s770. I have both and S880 temps are way lower and performs better than S770. Just do not know on endurance. I have them for a year now and no issues so far.
You mentioned TLC memory. Do they guarantee you will get TLC memory or will they supply whatever they can get their hands on? (like the Kingston NV2 and possibly NV3). For a TLC drive the price seems fair, but if they might give you a QLC one, it is possibly not the best deal.
Question: I have 3 m.2 slots One has windows installed another has this fanxiang 1tb installed But the 3rd m.2 is only a x2 lanes slot, would I be better off using a pcie x16 slot adapter to m.2 than the dedicated m.2 that only has 2 lanes? I've got a feeling it would run at full speed that way but only half speed in the m.2 slot. Thanks in advance cheers
I got the same one but 2TB and my Read speeds are 3425.97MB/s Write 3388.25MB/s but i bought one that suppose to be 7300MB/s i am confused on why its slower
Sounds like you are using it in a m.2 gen 3 slot instead of a gen 4.0 slot... "For M.2 GEN 3, averages are between 2500-3500 read/write and for M.2 Gen 4 the average range is 7000 read/write." So that's what I am thinking.
the sticker is made of graphine and acts as a heatsink, but you can also opt to add a bigger one if you wish (say like if you are gonna use it in a PS5 or something).
@@GalaxyTechReview no free lunch. If you're so sure about it, set it up for a burnout test and we'll see how long it lasts. You can make an SSD cheaper in only a few ways, and all of them will impact performance, longevity, or both. Cheaper controller, cheaper/binned nand chips. And good luck trying to have a Chinese co honor the warranty :)
@@BoraHorzaGobuchul So far mine works great, have it setup as a game drive and been playing on t with no issues, I will update you if that ever changes.

How does it hold up 3 weeks later?
@@openarms1841 installing it was super easy and it works beautifully. A great purchase I’d say 👌
how is it 1 month later?

Looks nice for an unknown company, thanks for the review!👌
I want the 4tb for my ps5 it’s probably one of the best versions to get since there not as pricey like the other ones

Amazing quality video, thank you!
Great video, thank you.
Great review well done. I’m about to purchase my first ps5, it’s on sale right now at Walmart for $444
Sorry if this a lot to ask but... What does thiss ssd mean? Is it for smooth fps or storage or something else?
Fast anough for PC gaming and of couse like all SSD's you can use it for storage too.
@GalaxyTechReview so it's like... Both? Storage and Fps?
Nice video, thx it helps!

I guess the DRAM cache on s770 doesn't matter that much

as far as I know there are only sourcing TLC as stated.

Sorry, I meant to ask you what slot you used 1 or 2 ? Thanks.
Slot 1 for this example but my motherboard has multiple nvme m.2 slots.
@@GalaxyTechReview thank you sir, mine has two. Much appreciated, for a very easy to understand video.
does it comes with dram cache?
how's is it perform after 7 month?
Still going strong.
@ how much storage now it takes? And what is the life % remaining ?
@ and current read and write speed.
@ else. You can upload a 7 month usage video about it. It will be helpful for us to decide brother 😀
do you need to buy a heatsink for it to for ps5?
you do not "have" to but you probably should, if that makes sense.
@GalaxyTechReview for you did buy it or not, and how's the SSD without the heatsink? Is it still good?
This comes with heat sink already installed?
You said thermal sticker is that the same thing ?
@@THEKLEVER187 yes the thermal sticker serves as a heat sink, made of graphine, aluminum and pet material.
still working?
yep still working
Is it worth for ps5? Please advise
should work fine for PS5
@@GalaxyTechReview thank you
Heat sink is inbuilt right ?
Does it have heatsink or no

Seriously? People recommend cheap ali ssds now? O tempora, o mores.
This one works great and the speeds are fire. So yes I would reccomend it because you get performance at a great price. Also a 5 year warranty!
