The Abbotts are coping with the disappearance of their daughter-in-law when the neighbouring Tillersons make a play for their ranch land. Tension comes to a head when a mysterious black void arrives in the Abbotts' pasture.

We watched both episodes Sunday night and really liked it. 💯If it keeps up this will be a very good series. Definitely like your movie and TV reviews better than most other you tuber reviewers, so please continue with Outer Range! 😀
The moment you realize Imogen Poots is from England….
I believe the show is portaying Royal as Kronos (metaphorically). Kronos was the god of time but also Kronos devoured his sons and was eventually destroyed by them. In the show you can see him becoming unhinged and the sons start to notice and seem to be growing dissatisfied with Royal and his choices. Same with Greek story of Kronos. Also the land is being watched over by Royal the same as Kronos who in some stories was the ruler of the land in the Golden Age,.
The Golden Age was described as peace, but Kronos's reign at the end of the Goldgen Age was described as a loss of purity and peace. Kronos eventually went mad and started to devour his sons and i believe we start to see him losing his grip when he prays at the dinner table.
Obviously this is just a opinion and have no idea how the show will turn out, or how if any of this will translate into later episodes.

This show couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Ever since Raised by Wolves and Severance ended, I needed something to fill that sci-fi void and this may be more of a mystery, but it has definitely hooked me immediately. Thanks for doing most of the shows I’m following as well.

What are you talking about? The cinematography sucks! It's so dark that they might as well have put a black sheet of paper in front of the camera lens.

@@edennis8578 I agree that it was a bit dark... but wouldn't go as far to say "it sucks." I think footage at night is always difficult to get right but it looked good on my 4K TV.
@@MovieFiles So glad they are releasing 2 episodes a week! But it will have to do well to beat Severance for me; my fav show of the year so far.

I really liked the first 2 episodes! Is it just me or did we NOT see what the girl did to Royal at the end of episode 1? Also, whatever is going on at the end of episode 2 was creepy/fascinating/confusing and I can't wait to see what's next. Yes, please review the show!

I loved these two episodes: so exacting to watch this with you: we just finished Severance and immediately we are captured by this new tv show: so happy. What an amazing mix of genre! I don’t want to start speculatin too much yet but the Kronos thing. i think your community is already onto it. Anyhow fist two episodes ‘s main themes: family for sure, relationships; choices we make when young that take us on one or an other path: the two brothers; religion and destiny etc…

In the scene where he is next to a guarded version of the whole, did I see an older Autumn? His wife did say he had been dead (not missing?) for 2 years. I also saw the sheriff but not his

I really enjoyed the first two episodes but I’m not putting in my top tier just yet. It’s beautifully shot and the acting is top notch. Just had a few elements in the story and characters that were very Dallas/Dynasty. I’m intrigued though, and I hope you will cover it.

Still, I’m not sure if he’s just jumping forward in the future or if it’s an alternative reality. The hippie girl looked a lot different. That and I guess the countdown clock, like do they know exactly when he comes out of the portal?

The first 2 episodes were great and didn’t disappoint. Very interested to see how it evolves. I’m a huge Twin Peaks fan as well…loved the first few seasons of lost. What I feel is great about this show is that it has that great element of mystique but is very grounded with the whole western ranch lifestyle. Makes it feel more real and comes off as taking itself more seriously than it’s predecessors. The writing, directing, cinematography and especially the acting are phenomenal. Would love to see you do breakdowns in the future. Thanks.

I’m so confused with the hole, I can somewhat understand that it’s related to time. That’s why he went forward in time and back in time when he jumped back in. But then how did the Buffalo get there? Did it come from the future too? Or did it come from the past to this present. If so what happens if it goes back in? Will it go to the future where josh brolin went or does it go back to its on present like he did?

it's a standard crime drama set in 99-early 00s not really a mystery I'm watching it cause mainly I'm interested in learning about the Yakuza you learn about the each main characters past as the show progresses
It's a decent show if you have nothing else to watch give it a shot
