    Hi Robby, a great update a summary of the running of the Haiboxing, sorry that the cold affected the body, but of course, being frugal and wise….making a bashing body our of the broken body, with a habit of your awesome imagination, is a great idea 😊😊 a great alternative too, your research is amazing 😊😊 thanks for sharing these great trucks and you wisdom 😊😊best wishes to you and the family 😊😊

      Great to here from you always John. Thank you so much! Not sure if it’s so much wisdom, but an mere observation, LoL! I’m happy you fancied it though. Think the cold weather is here to stay for a long spell. Going to have to focus a bit less on performance and wacky jumps, and more on handling in the now snowy weather. Kinda hard to do speed runs and hit small jumps in the snow😂!
      I very much appreciate you thoughtful comment . Stay safe and best wishes to you and yours over there!

    Good job, friend. Most of the crawling types have to go through several sections. Maybe I'll trim the front body a bit because it gets stuck when turning. But I haven't done it yet.

      Thank you very much my friend! Yeah this body Shell looked great!! I’m definitely going to replace it with another ASAP. Not sure if you have any curved body shell scissors, but I highly recommend if you are going to trim your body shell. It’s way more precise than regular scissors.. thanks for following along my friend . Take good care!👋🏻😄

    Hey Robby i gather the very low temps can cause plastics to be very brittle, we dont get that happen here Down Under as its a warmer climate here, we don't even get snow in winter. That KFPlan body looks good on the new HBX, i tend to like lining all my rc truck basher bodies in Gorrilla cloth tape, it makes it flexible and protects it well from splitting and holds together the shells very well in my opinion, i haven't had any cracks or broken shells since using the stuff, even in hard impact jumps and crashes, i pretty much swear by it! I wouldn't mind trying out this new HBX but they don't have it available nor will ship to Australia

    • @BangForYourBuckRc
      @BangForYourBuckRc  10 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for chiming in Dave, I really appreciate you buddy! Yes, yes cold is just brutal on plastics. Even some metals too. I should of taped it up before I tested. I should of tried doing a flip earlier when the 3s was lively, but didn’t because I thought that this might happen. Then I decided to, but I noticed the battery had fallen a bit due to the cold. I shouldn’t of done it, but I’m like a kid and had to try you know…😆LoL!
      I have duck taped, and dry wall taped /gorilla glued many many of my body shells as well .It works really good , I agree Dave. Been trying some new stuff called T-Rex tape. It’s like Gorilla tape but a bit thicker. Sticks like nobody’s business! LoL!
      I really hope they get these down to you. How come some cars make it, but others don’t?
      I really thought hbx was starting to give in to the competition, but with this new lot of cars, coming through, they may have caught up and redeemed themselves. I really love the MJX’x and Rlaarlos but, so many have copied these HyperGo’s that I’m not really interested in the rebadges as much. Any way, it’s great to see hbx back into the mix of things again! Hope you take care buddy! ✌🏼👊🏼😎

    Any HBX 12th scale body with fit that truck they all have the same chassis. The first thing I do is reinforce a factory body. They wouldn't last a day the way that l bash. I use nylon concrete board tape and e6000 it makes a body tough as nails. The reason the truck doesn't wheelie is because the center diff comes from the factory dry with no fluid. I filled it with 200k diff fluid. Wheelies now. I don't run many budget trucks l have a couple to bash in my yard when I get home from work during the week. I take my fully equipped M2C racing 6s trucks to the excavation pit by my house on the weekends. But as far as the HBX trucks for some reason they use very little grease in the front rear and center diffs. I use Lucas red tacky for the front and rear diffs. Makes a world of a difference in the performance of the truck.

      Hey there! You my dude are hard core! I usually tape up my body’s after the first review. This body broke as easily as it did due to the cold weather being in the 20’s. Your 100% right about the center if diff having had heavier, thicker, tackier,fluid would help this rig wheelie better. When I test and review these, I do so keeping it “out of the box” how the manufacturer sends it to the consumer. Most people getting into the hobby won’t open up the diffs right away or add grease or oil to anything. I always run mine to see how they perform for me and then do the grand opening and inspection to see what they need. First run this did pretty well in the cold. I don’t bash to break my cars, fix and repeat, but I do give them a good workout and upgrade parts when necessary. I don’t have the finances for that and if I did do that , I wouldn’t have the time to be making constant repairs. LoL!
      I just have fun with them and maintain/ upgrade them as necessary. There are channels out there that like to test till they break. This channel is not one of them. I do however like to guide consumers into the hobby, keeping their wallet intact with some money left over for bread and milk. I try to introduce models that I have done research on that will get them into This awesome hobby and not break the bank.
      Hence an Rc experience that will bring a lot of Bang for the consumers hard earned buck. Spending $300, $400, or $500 is unnecessary to have a good time in this hobby.
      Product intro first, upgrades and maintenance come second. The comment section is there for any one with questions that need help with the rest.
      Great comment dude. Hope you have a very happy and prosperous new Year buddy! 🙌🎉🍻✌🏼🙏🤩

    $200 is asking too much for a truck that's already been released a couple times. All they did was make it brushless and swap the body and wheels. I'd rather upgrade my 2995 for less than $100 and it'll be faster and better than the 2997A. I want metal upgrades and a bigger battery compartment. That's like the number 1 thing that people have been asking for since the 2995 and they just keep releasing the same chassis as a brand new RC.

    • @BangForYourBuckRc
      @BangForYourBuckRc  9 місяців тому

      Can’t argue with you dude, you 100% right , except I’ve seen these as low as $140 on Amazon with a coupon. If you already have a 2995, or Bezgar’s version using this chassis, than I totally agree with you. If you haven’t got one though, it’s a solid deal when that coupon is offered. I also agree, it needs a bigger battery compartment for sure!👊🏼 Great points! Thanks for the comment brother! 😎

    The trimmed body turned out good. I need to raise mine up before it gets any worse.
    Do you know how the ESC is held into the 2997a? I assume double sided tape but before I pull too hard I wanted to make sure that is the case.
    I totally agree that the power delivery is very linear. Nice feel to it.
    Last I looked it was up to $165. I think $200 is a bit high but I think you could do worse for $200. For $150 it is a really nice truck IMO.
    Thanks!
