i don't think i can really get a good sense of the comparison with the youtube compression being what it is. it looks like theres some moire on the CP.2 and it looks a little orangier? and the Ultra Prime looks fuzzier than the CineAlta. maybe you could put a write up of your thoughts in the description?
if your test is really TRUE, then i will change my mind and will buy Sony lenses for my RED Scarlet. P.S. - i planned to buy Zeiss CP2 (Super speed also) or schneider cine-xenar II lenses
i still haven't bought any lens, if you offer me good price we can deal, the lens mm is very good, maybe i will choose between 20 and 24 mm, other mm-s are my wished compete. we can deal via paypal or meet in third (middle) country and deal in that place.
Yeah - As I sad: Strange, ... these lenses were promising but it seems they will not be produced no more? So, to purchase a used kit would be very risky now, since you will have no support no more if one of them breaks... I am not convinced of the CP2 or 3 since these are actually re-housed photo lenses with no character and no real "estate". Maybe for TV news documentation but beyond that? ... Dunno ....

From this video it looks like CP.2 are the worst lenses ever.... uhm. Even after this much time, I am not sure at all! Why does Zeiss show all those magenta and yellow lines, is that even chromatic aberration or something worse?? I would have sent the lens to be serviced, honestly, it is too weird. And why you don't show the 18mm, to check if it gives so dramatic results too? Where is the rest of the test?
This is laughable. The camera would have to out-resolve the lens in order for the optical resolution test to have any sense. Testing this on a 4k / 12 MP camera sensor???????? The guy is a complete joke.
@@wechsler151 There wasn't, but the common knowledge that the test therefore didn't make any sense should have been there. Not sure you realize but it was possible to measure optical resolution of lenses over 100 years ago without any digital sensors so it is irrelevant when this was shot. Are you one of those clowns ?

The ultra prime was the sharpest, the Sony's weren't far off.
