I find it a very interesting series. Different from other costume dramas, refreshing actually. After a long break I saw Jinyi again.... nice to have her back on costume dramas.

This does not bode well for me being able to keep watching this. Too bad because I was really liking it so far and I loved that there's a female lead character whose face is scarred. I guess it was too much to hope for such positive messaging from China about beauty being more than skin deep. 🤦🏻♀️
did they really change the faces and actresses?..... it's terrible... for me, the actress who played Yang Cai Wei from the beginning is the best and this actress best suits this character with her beauty and acting... and the other actress has a fierce beauty and exaggerated and doesn't fit her replacement at all... it's terrible... I've seen such a replacement somewhere in a drama and I didn't like it... I don't know if I can keep watching it... and as for the details of the change, if they only changed the shortness of the face, then the height, silhouette and timbre of the voice are completely different, so it can't be matched, so how is it possible that after changing the face she suddenly looked like a Siamese twin, it doesn't stick, I don't buy it....
I was so disappointed when I realized the first actress won't be playing the main lead. She was perfect. I was excited there was a leading lady with a scar on her face in a Chinese drama but I should have known that won't stick. God forbid there is a flaw on a woman. Kinda ironic how they were mentioning inner beauty and two episodes in they switched her with a "standard" skinny-with-porcelain-skin beauty. Great messaging to all the girls out there. No offense to the second actress, she's lovely, but I wish they let the first one play the lead.
I totally agree with u. I like the 1st actress better - look & acting skills. But I read that the later development of the story is not about “changing faces”, it’s about the 1st actress died (was killed) & somehow her soul goes to occupy the body of the 2nd actress (the female lead 鞠婧祎 of this drama).

I agree. The real female lead is known in China for always playing roles that are essentially the actress herself (a modern idol), unlike the first actress whose acting is much better.
How come they change the first FL to another actress? Not being mean or anything (just an observation from a casual viewer) but that first FL was not only pretty but her acting was on point; she was captivating with her display of different nuances of emotions. Though the 2nd FL is also pretty but her acting just didn't 'grab me' the way that first FL did.
Would have been good if this hadn't written in a way to full viewers. In trying to make LeadF looks good by changing the body in this way is stupid. It's a waste of time to say further thus l leave it here, it puts me off from watching it further.

看兩集剛好，BE也是種結局。

短小精悍了算是，这年头大家时间都挺紧的，两集挺好
那道横亘脸庞的疤痕好精致，一点不影响女演员的容貌灵气，反而使这个跟风小仵作的剧很特别！换个娇气大小姐气质的女演员，根本懒得看了，即便男主的花容月貌，也看无法挽救。。。
这个剧推崇“心比容貌更重要”，结果选了脸更精致但演技更差的女主角，蛮讽刺的耶。

其實鞠演這種瘋批美女也滿帶感的，少了很多搖頭晃腦、裝萌賣傻，只求她好好把頭髮梳好，看到那幾縷鬚鬚飄來飄去的，臉很癢😂
鄭的演技沒有營銷號說的那麼好，但確實看得出來她有在揣摩女角色的環境和性格，做到一個演員應該要有的素質，而不是像鞠只會演自己。
如果鞠和鄭兩個人互換，鞠演前2集，鄭演後面幾十集，會更帶感。因為鞠那梳都梳不好的髮型以及喜歡搖頭晃腦裝天真的演技，很適合演落魄環境的人物，反之，鄭表現出的堅定性格和她自己的外型（有福氣的肉肉臉），很適合演富家千金。
