We picked up a gyro kit from Costco last week. Everything you need for 6 good-sized gyros, including the veggies, for only $6.50. We had extra meat left over, so my wife enjoyed it the next day in a salad. For $6.50 it fed three adults for dinner. You can't beat that.
Although the prices are exceptional on many items like Gyros, the problem is in excessive sodium, nitrates, and preservatives that are hazardous to our health & BP !! 💔
We actually have memberships to both. There are things at each that the other doesn't have, so we haven't been convinced to drop one or the other. We don't get a lot of pre-made foods, though.

Never pick a seasoned dry chicken over a not so seasoned juicy/moist chicken. Put your own salt on the thing. Seriously, why should I have to even say this?
Sam’s eggs are better. The cage free eggs have the deeper orange color. They come from hens whose diet was high in carotenoids - red pigment found in plants. The yolk from Costco organic eggs are light yellow color, the hens most likely ate corn or wheat based food.
It depends on your region. In my area, Sam’s sources its produce and meat better than Costco. However when I have travelled else where, Costco had better sourcing. It all goes down to region and the individual store.
Sam's copied a LOT from Costco and then went the extra to make new products that Costco didn't offer and Costco then copied them back. Sam's is younger than Costco as Costco joined up with a club called Price Club (of which I was a member) that was older by many years.

I’m team Sam’s by default. They are the only one in town, the nearest Costco is 2.5-3 hours away. And that’s only one way! 😉 I’ve tried Sam’s Fettuccini Alfredo Chicken and it’s not bad.
Clearly, I bought a house in the wrong part of the country, as I have no sams and no costco. I do have a BJ's, but it's a smaller one and they don't have the deli section or the baking section, so no bagels and no sliced cold cuts. I don't recall seeing any rotisserie stuff. Based on your competition, with the exception of the hot dog battle, I'd say one really couldn't go wrong with either product, especially if they don't have both stores.

@@SweetChicagoGator Costco has self checkout like at a grocery store, but Sam's (and Walmart +) have Scan and Go where you scan and checkout and bypass the registers. Well, at Walmart you scan a QR code at a self checkout, but that's it.

We don't have a Sam's Club in New York City Area But there is a BJ's and Costco. The closest Sam's Club for me would be in Secaucus New Jersey. And since I don't drive I would have to go to the Port Authority Bus Terminal and take the 320 Bus to get there.
Team Costco. I have memberships at both and shop and both, but I prefer Costco even though it's an hour farther away from me than Sam's. Costco has more premium products (not just food) and I think the Kirkland brand is consistently (not always) pretty good. Sure, there are things at Sam's I like more, but if I had to choose one, it'd be Costco. Plus, I like Costco's business/employer model better than the Walton's model. I also like the Costco affiliate perks on rental cars and other stuff.
Just starting to watch your video. I love Costco for many many things! Their $4.99 roasted chicken makes a meal, a batch of chicken salad, and a big doggie treat, fabulous!!! Their warehouse is always clean, bright, and their employees smile and look alert compared to Sam's warehouse which looks less appealing and their employees often look comatose!🥴. That being said, for dessert pies I choose Sam's which bakes the crust nice & brown where I've had greasy pie crust at Costco.
I'm Team Sam's. I've tried Costco memberships probably 3-4 times in my life, but I hated shopping there. Found the Costco shopping experience stressful and anxiety inducing.
I am team Costco for food now. For a lot of other things, I'm team Sam's Club because they have better deals. So if I want to eat, I go to Costco if I want to learn something or play something. Or do something sam's club
Check out the employees, you will find Costco Employees love their jobs! While most Sam's Club employees are not as happy, just like the Walmart employees . Plus I think there are more American made products at Costco instead of Chinese stuff at Sams Club.
I used to love Quick N Eat, but they disappeared for some time and came back with their current version. The original version tasted like a burger you cooked on the grill, but now they're just kind of meh. The packaging says "flame grilled" but I see no evidence of that. Everybody loves the Costco hotdog but I have to tell you a story. I was starving one day and decided to grab a hot fog before going shopping. I was trying to scarf it down because it’s crowded in those places and I don’t like all of that. As I was chewing I bit down on something so hard it broke my tooth. It hurt so bad I swallowed whatever it was and immediately told my girlfriend something was wrong and I was in a lot of pain. We had to leave right away and I was on the phone to the dentist before we left the parking lot. It turns out whatever it was had broken my tooth and I had to get a crown put in. All in all a crappy day and about 1001.50 for a hot dog that day. I called them and of course they were no help, but I told them I wasn’t looking for money. (Even though it would’ve been nice to at least get a refund) I just wanted them to know so ok it doesn’t happen to anyone else, which is why I’m telling all of you.

Costco has much better customer security. My grandmother and mom used to share a Sams club and Costco membership, when my grandma passed my mom had to cancel both. But an employee in Sam's was able to reopen the account, apply for a credit card and sent it to her address. She spent 20k at Sam's and by the time the police were involved sams refused to press charges and ate the loss do to it being a tax credit for them as a loss.
