@@CAMSLAYER13 but you need high enough voltage to overcome the impedance of your body. This is a common misconception. You need a few 10 volts to even start feeling current flow through your body, no matter how much current that supply can provide. A car battery can output 600+ amps, but there is a reason people aren't dying left and right from being electrocuted from them, it's because they're only 12V, nowhere near the voltage needed to overcome your body's impedance. Most high current power supplies output high current at 1-2V, so they're completely safe, UNLESS you are connecting and disconnecting, making it arc, since the inductance causes a huge momentary voltage spike that might kill you, but his setup here is basically a low voltage short circuit so completely safe in terms of electrocution.
@@CAMSLAYER13 1amp at 1V is not going to do anything to you. A car battery can supply over 1000A at around 7V and 600A at 12V. Yet grabbing the two terminals of a car battery does not kill or even slightly affect you. Its the combination of voltage and amperage that will kill you. Yes some people say a taser shock at 20,000V doesn't kill you because the current is low. Thats not entirely true, as soon as the connection is made, the voltage MUST drop. 20,000V is the open air voltage, not the voltage supplied when connected to a subject. The human body is just a big resistor, if you want more current to flow through it you need more voltage. You cannot increase current without increasing voltage or reducing resistance. Since the resistance of a specific human doesn't change much in the span of a few seconds of being shocked, you really only have one way to control current, adjusting voltage. The human body has an average resistance of 300ohm internal resistance, but a much higher 20,000-100,000ohms skin resistance thanks to dead skin. So even taking the lowest resistance average 20,300ohms. The current that can possibly flow at 2V is only 10 microamps. In order to get 1A flow through the skin (negating the AC breakdown effect) is going to be far higher than just 2V. Even if you stick a probe into someones skin, or assume that the heat would melt right through the outer layer and reach the internal 300ohm layer, you are still talking from 2V a current of 6.6 milliamps. It's not just the current or voltage that kills, Electroboom has a good video on this, among others. I think even Photonic induction has mentioned this before, but BigCliveDotCom has also covered this as well.

"I've noticed something really important missing... its the smell of spilt beer and burns in the carpet,"
oh, you brilliant, mad old man, welcome back, we've missed you dearly
Nothing amazes me more than the fact that this man is still alive. With the amount of these experiments he's performed, Murphy's Law would dictate that something would have had to gone horribly wrong by now.
This channel originally sparked my interest to go to school for electronics when I was younger. So happy to have it back
That's great, how's it going?
Sparked, I see what you did there.
That celing is like a memorial of the internet
So glad you're back my friend! You've been an encouragement to me since I was 13. I'm 22 now and living the life with all my destructive arcade repairs haha!
Seeing this video really made me feel like its 2016 all over again. It's so great to you back again with the same style of video's
The only UA-cam videos that have me smiling from beginning to end. Looks like Tom Edison should have considered knife blades for lamp filaments.
Honey, have you seen my knives??
“The smell of spilled beer and burns in the carpet” LMAO
You said 3 words and I instantly subscribed. You have great charisma!
Best part of 2021 is this channel coming back
I LOVE how he continues the tradition of doing this stuff in his room, on carpet, on some bricks.
Photon is back alright.
This man must be on every country's wanted list.
For being the most legendary youtuber ever, and
For being so crazy
Incredible to watch though.
Your videos cut through all the other crap on UA-cam like… like a… umm… dunno, can’t come up with a metaphor but they’re awesome. So glad to have you back. Cheers!
The orange warning lamp tells us it’s hot. Dropped my beer hearing that. You are a Prince amongst dogs.
the shear violence on this channel make me feel all warm and fuzzy
What a cutting pun.
I still can’t believe he does this stuff in his house 😂
and on carpet too.
@@rjkee5157 The carpet is one of his safety measures! Didn't you watch the video where he filled out his JSA (or whatever the safety assessment form is called over there).
@@fredygump5578 Thanks, I haven't gone through all his previous vids.
In my town anything can happen
@@fredygump5578 JSA is totally different meaning here
Happy to see you back to making videos, always enjoy watching you melt metal with electricity. Ex aircraft electrician, watched a Ni-Cad aircraft battery have a melt down like this once.
mate I'm so happy you're back. we really missed you. you're doing the community a real service. and also, thank you for explaining some of the windings - not everyone knows hot it works. cheers mate.
His smoke detector seeing him come up the stairs: ☹️
He'll never have a smoke detector. He does have a small fire extinguisher though, although is legendary fireproof carpet is waaayyyy sufficient xD
hahahahaha nice one mate
That 50Hz hum sounds so ominous. Like at 88 mph you’re gonna see some serious shit! :-D
Yes it does! Really can hear the load coming on. And hearing 50Hz vs the 60Hz we have in the US is interesting!
@@PhilG999 Ask random people to hum. In the US they will hum 60hz and in Europe, 50 hz. True. This is how pervasive AC electricity is.
Great Scott!
@@NeverTalkToCops1 I prefer 400 or 440Hz lol
@@throttlebottle5906 Humming on a plane? :-P
Great channel, very recognizalble and no nonsense. Still need to watch a load of your past videos.
Love it mate and again - it's great to see you back.
Don't rush yourself and don't worry about 'feeding the algorithm'. Those of us who want to see you pop stuff will see it.
Companies should send him products for hilarious over testing,
Like the, 'Will it blend?' Guy, but 'When will i pop it?'
The answer is always "Yes".
Always a great day when we get a new Photonicinduction video.
thanks for sharing i really enjoy seeing a professional having a go at something fun in their field of expertise!
It makes me so happy to see the master back in action again!!
I love his laugh. Definetely a mad scientist.
That's exactly the energy I describe him like too ^^ Who has the nerve to mess around with the stuff he does.... I am nervous just fiddling around with normal fuses...
@@CannondaleF700 you must be jealous, as your videos are absolutely awful.
@@CannondaleF700 explains your abhorrent attitude.
Dude, thank you for making my day. Got home from work, showered, made a cup of tea, sat down and saw a new PhotonicInduction video and smiled. You have a real world impact out here, and are appreciated. Thank you!
Fkn great to have you back mate!! I’ve been binge watching all your old vids now they’re coming up in my feed.
Love ya work champion! Look forward to the next one 👌👌👌🍻
Thanks for sharing your antics on UA-cam again mate.
It's cool being able to see visually the spot of higher resistance where the harder blade steel is welded to the soft handle steel.
love your vids dude! glad you're back!
did not know you watched him kev
Haha, smash the the bell you basher
the footage from 11:49 is so incredibly pure and wholesome. Just some lads on the piss, in a shed, doing something completely inadvisable and life endangering just for the heck of it. doesn't get any better than that
I'm so glad you came back to youtube. you are one of the OG youtubers, and there aren't many of those guys around still.
