Seeing how Dean treats even monster kids knowing the if Jack was just born a normal age it would have been fine ohhh boy
and mostly if Cas hadn't died in the aftermath of protecting Jack, I think. Making a child pay, even without being conscious of it, for the loss of a loved one they remind the one that stayed alive of, is something Dean was himself subjected to as a child, and it's easy to replicate

Todd wasn't a monster but a normal kid who got a wish granted.
He was a monster in real life. Kid was sentenced to life in prison for killing his mom.
I was kind of just including anyone not quite human, including ghost kids and psychics
But his personality became monstrous, taking advantage of that power hurting someone who just wanted to talk (dean)

Dean had to take care of Sam all the time. Dealing with kids is more of a jump in thing for him than Sam.
Kinda cute how Jack copies Dean. I wonder if it was like some sort of innate trust because of Cas. His mother told him he could be a good man and Dean is the ultimate example of that in Cas's eye's.

they really introduced him and then never followed up
@@toonswadloon3647 right??? like that plot point absolutely deserved a call back or repeat episode. it’s just not possible that someone as powerful as jesse just totally vanished off the radar and never caused an issue even on accident without adult help.
Made worse that Jack doesn't have close to the same power and Jack is literally supposed to be more powerful.
Jesse was their scapegoat thou, they said if they ever wanted to suddenly end the show they could bring him back and finish everything

Did shifters stop molting as part of the shifting process at some point? Not including that attempt at a “spinoff”.
They do still molt when they shift usually. The one coming after the baby was an "alpha" aka one of the original shapeshifters, so it was able to just transform.
