There is so much variety of kaiju collectibles now & over this past decade really. It’s amazing. Never in my life would I have thought Godzilla & the kaiju genre in general make a comeback like this, especially mainstream. What a time to be alive. Amazing figures. Can’t wait to see more!
It really is the golden age renaissance of Godzilla collectibles. Not just variations on the new design, but lots of old school stuff too! I'm currently working on the two biggest videos I've ever made. Very exciting!
I try to match the energy of whatever thing I'm reviewing. If someone went through the effort to hone their skills enough to sculpt/paint/engineer a piece like this, then I am just going to celebrate and draw attention to that. I really wish most of these artists weren't so anonymous.
I've ordered the prime one studio gigantic Godzilla. My first serious Godzilla statue. A lot of money but it's a good investment...well, that's what I'm telling my wife. To know that it's even bigger than the 2019 Godzilla makes it even better.
The Prime 1 Gigantic Masterline Heat Ray Godzilla will be my last really BIG piece for a while. It may have even shipped by as I confirmed my shipping address awhile back. Currently NO room for it. But if it's one thing collecting giant monster statues is good for, is lighting a fire under me to consolidate, renovate, and make better use of space. 😂

It's time to glide, breathe, and enjoy the moment. We'll see I guess. The Gigantic Heat Ray version does light up. I'm not even 100% sure they offered a Gigantic that didn't. (I'll have to go back and check.) This dude is supposed to be nearly 3 feet tall. 😳
MPMToys you won't be disappointed. Best detail ever on a Godzilla statue (vinyl or otherwise.) A bit pricey for the size but then again prices are up universally. Where did you order yours from?
I almost cancelled as well. I'm for sure glad I didn't. It's an amazing piece and it's a great size and weight. Not too big. Not too small. I also love that it is all one piece. No seams or parts that will warp over time like the tails on the Gigantic Cloud figures.
@@BatChainPuller I’m definitely excited to get this now but it only makes me regret not being able to get their gigantic master line 😭 I have the bust which absolutely blows my mind but the gigantic is a dream😭. Honestly I love prime 1. They are the only ones in my opinion to really give a screen accurate representation. All others have something off with their proportions etc.
@@fsolano2396 One probably only needs The Bust and one of these full bodied statues from Prime 1. I think you made a great choice. I think I'm getting towards the age where a big collection of bigger scale figures feels like a liability, or like an avalanche of risk, or work, that just gets harder and harder to move around the more you get. They start to feel like nails in your feet.
It really is. I've collected quite a lot of statues and figures of this particular version of Godzilla. After a couple more videos, some of them will be going up for sale. The war on space is real!

My advice is to frequently check out the RIC Shonen site, and become a member of different groups on Facebook. The Xplus Collectors Group is a good way to stay on top of what is coming out.

I think I may have mixed up the photos in the video. That $1100 price reflects the Gigantic sized Ezhobi "Furious Blue" not the smaller one they make which is between $600-$700.
Xplus Gigantic Kong is substantially bigger than this Prime 1 Diorama Vinyl Godzilla. Kong is 49 cm (19.3 inches) and the Prime 1 Vinyl Godzilla is 42 cm (16.5 inches). And keep in mind the Prime 1 Vinyl Godzilla stands on an inch tall base. The figure itself is yet another inch shorter (about 15 inches) than Xplus Kong (at 19 inches). Kong scales much better with the Xplus Gigantic Godzilla 2019 you see him "fight" in the video.
The next video is Xplus Gigantic Kong, but the video after that is the Prime 1 Light Up Godzilla Diorama; and when I compare the other Legendary Godzilla's, I'll throw in Spiral King Ghidorah just for you. Stay tuned friend.
It was about $200 more than the much larger but slightly less detailed Gigantic Xplus 2019 so, perspectives. Also shipping was a BEAST. The box was huge for what it really needed to be imo. I toiled in manufacturing for 10+ years and now I am my own boss as an independent contractor. My advice is do what you LOVE and do it like your life depends on it. Good things start to just happen.
I did not. I am not preordering anything I'm not absolutely head over heels in love with. I have SO many 2019's some of which I haven't even unboxed yet! Spiral's 2019 looks nice and the 2014 looks even better. I MAY still go for the 2014. We'll see.
I'm very happy with it. Next level paint and detail packed it into an Xplus sized figure. But the price was crazy, and the box it came in felt larger than it needed to be, resulting in an even higher shipping price. I wish Prime 1 would take a swing at some Showa and Heisei era Kaiju too.
Wow! That was fantastic. It's impossible to tell in the video which is the best, most convincing, most realistic Godzilla. What's your opinion? Regardless of size, is there one Godzilla that reigns supreme? Also, which one has the most realistic eyes? Since this video, is there another Godzilla that's better? Maybe there's an artist who hand makes them, a one of a kind Godzilla that's the best-of-the-best. For me, none of these figures look like living breathing animals. It's difficult to do with vinyl and paint. When you look at a crocodile, you know it's real. Its textures are undeniably real.
Yes there have been quite a few Godzilla 2019 releases from Prime 1 since this video, and each one is better than the next. Check out the GodZilla Diorama video I did, and the next video I am publishing is the Gigantic Masterline Heat Ray Godzilla which is over 3 feet tall! After that video I'll be focusing on a 2019-2021 Best of the Best video. I'm hoping the Spiral Studio 2019 figures will arrive by then. Those are the last ones I need to compare to the rest.
@@BatChainPuller I looked at photos just now of the Spiral Studio 2019 Godzilla. The textures on the scales looks really convincing but the mouth doesn't look "wet" inside, as it should be. Maybe it's just the photo but the texture and glisten on the tongue and glistening saliva is important too. I will check out your other videos. I'm not convinced by the glowing Godzillas. They look more fake in real life. Just get a regular Godzilla perfect, undeniable from a real animal, so much so that it scares people when they walk into a room.

@@BatChainPuller Well, part of what makes your Godzillas "staggeringly real" is that you're a brilliant photographer. It will be interesting to see how this Godzilla looks in normal daylight. I've also thought people should throw real dirt on these sculpts. Get them dusty and grimy.
Really really great comparison, best I’ve seen yet!! I believe this pieces is the same as the diorama Godzilla just vinyl vs. polystone of course. I have the entire diorama on order which is supposed to start US shipping within a couple weeks, as per an email from Prime 1. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼I usually do not collect vinyl, but I did recently purchase the X-Plus LMS Ghidorah and Godzilla. The Ghidorah looks fantastic but the Godzilla not as impressive, It didn’t even scale properly imo. I still contemplate the Godzilla Giant Masterline piece at almost 3’ tall but the long wait for the diorama and Kong bust is keeping me from any more Prime 1 POs. Love your collection. I'm struggling to finish my review for the Prime 1 Godzilla Diorama this weekend but I keep running into obstacles. In it you'll see a direct comparison with the vinyl. Plot Twist: They both seem to be Vinyl! The Gigantic Masterline 3 ft Godzilla is shipping in a week, so in a few months I'll be able to line them all up and compare. @@BeastStatues The Diorama is considerably larger, has a slightly different pose/proportion, and lights up astonishingly well. It just doesn't seem like resin/polystone. It's hollow, lighter weight, and ultimately has more vinyl vibes than the official vinyl, which feels more solid and has that magnet in the tail. The Diorama version is a beast though, and I'm thankful for the lighter weight because I move my statues around a lot for the videos.
@@BatChainPuller yeah, we tend to associate weight with quality and Prime 1 can easily prove that wrong. You’ll be the first that I know of to get the full diorama, where are you located? I ordered mine day 1, and i always go direct with Prime 1 but unfortunately this time because shipping scared me at the time, I went with Big Bad Toy Store. In the end I saved about 75.00, but I won’t get nearly as fast, so I’ve been told.
@@BeastStatues Oh I didn't order the full diorama. Just the Godzilla half, from Prime 1 direct. I ordered the bust, the standard vinyl, the Dio, and the Gigantic. I had to prioritize because I also collect Xplus, Predator Prime 1, Spiral Studio, and the odd bust now and then from Queen Studios. Hey, with a user name like Beast 51 Statues who has a Prime 1 Plant Hulk as their avatar, I'd expect some videos related to statues.😉 Where's the goods?
Not completely. It's legs and tail are either solid vinyl or it's filled with some sort of weighty substance like resin or cement. From the thighs up it sounds hollow when I drum on it with my fingers.

The overall look is very good, the connection between the neck and the body line is very smooth, but the details of the teeth are not well done...
