These guys were way ahead of their time when they first came out. They still are way ahead of our time. In an era lacking true unique creativity, flooded with auto tone and synthesizers these guys are always fresh. Keep rockin' on TOOL 🤘🏻
Sad thing, IMO, even their 90s stuff is FURTHER ahead of the time now than then. Music has (for the most part) stopped evolving. Too distracted by the technology available to direct the imagination to the instruments, and voice to create something special. These guys are an ALLSTAR crew pushing themselves and creating amazing art. When you're in the mood, it doesn't get any better
The absolute shitwitted irony that people complain about people using cell phones at concerts while watching a video taken on a cell phone at a concert.
Especially if they’re watching said video on a mobile device like myself. Now, if someone’s on their phone and not focusing on the concert at all, at that point I find it redundant going but I don’t think it should be outright banned.
Critics of cellphones at concerts - f$$k em. Especially with Tool, whom never puts a live dvd. How else do you see them, unless you feel like getting ripped off by Ticketmaster, by buying a ticket to see them live. It must be because it's a festival that they're allowing cellphones. In Regina, Saskatchewan 6 or 7 years ago, they didn't open the doors to the stadium until 30 minutes before the show. Thousands of people lined up at the doors & security walked back & forth telling everybody to leave their phones in their cars. It was pretty militaristic. I've been to over 60 concerts & I've never seen that before. I'm a huge Tool fan & I love watching them live, but I haven't been to a Tool concert since.

@@jimpage7141 yes Korn, if you've ever been on a floor with 30000 people jumping at the same time and going crazy you would know what I'm talking about. They sound AWESOME. And pretty united . What a BAND. I ADORE THEM. Maynard is finally more enlightened on stage as he deserves... some of His moves reminds me of martial arts influence ... He is Amazing, fuck.... Amazing.
I saw them in 2019 and you could really tell Maynard was more into it and sounded better as well, seemed rejuvenated...dancing around and having fun. Nailing some screams we haven't heard in a while, etc. Then COVID hit, canceled the tour and now he's had COVID twice and who knows how his lungs are doing after that. I hope he recovers fully, for his and his family's sake as well as ours.
Without the talk box that solo is still a 10 in my book. The solo on the record is one of best i've ever heard, maybe the best. This band is just incredibly good at knowing exactly what their doing musically. Total freedom creating music is a great place to be. So fucking cool at the end of 46 and 2 when it appears that spermatocytes are emanating from demigod Danny Carey and fertilizing the universe. Appropriate IMO.
