I love Scarlett, she’s very talented and the way she acts in interviews shows that she’s a very nice and humble person too. I disagree with her defending woody allen but people should also consider that woody worked with her since she was like what, 20? and she views him as a friend unlike us who see it through news and media. She’s just defending a friend. Yeah she is quite ignorant on some topics but this cancel culture is crazy and people would talk literal shits about her, even bringing her daughter into it, just because it’s trending. The popular vote doesn't even matter so unless you're part of the electoral college voting is pointless.
She very gracefully kind of tip-toed around that issue so as not to make enemies or alienate any of her fan base. Unlike Ruffalo, I think she understands it's not her place to try and sway people's opinions to follow her own personal opinions. Nor does she view herself as that important to be able to do that either. And that humility makes her more appealing as an actress. Very graceful.

By the time Hawkeye and Captain America had their interests too they could make couple with Bucky like in the comics. I dont think that romance is the main premise of the film. I think the fact that the two main characters' age differ serves a certain purpose for the plot. The theme of the film is about the feeling of utter nothingness and feeling alone in a place so crowded. Bill's character embodies someone going through a midlife crisis while Scarlett's is a woman in a quarter-life crisis. It shows that the quest of finding your purpose and identity is not exclusive to you being a certain age. It can happen to anyone. The fact that theyre in japan represents a sense of alienation from society. Its an intricate film with many symbols and deep meanings. That's my take on it, at least. The main characters do share a lot of chemistry and there is clearly romance there but it never goes anywhere-- in the end they each return to places where they belong, after theyve found themselves.
