If the balancer is not communicating with the bms it will cause wrong voltage sampling in the bms during active balancer. You need seperated conductor tracks on the pcb for the balancer and bms to ensure proper voltage reading.
@@eelbatteryofficial that won't help, it's an design issue. New pcb as I suggested above or communication between balancer and bms to ensure that there is no balancing while voltage sampling.
I just got word back from Howard that it is NOT possible to upgrade older version of the EEL Battery Box. I don't know where that leaves us, because I have no idea where and how to install the active 4A balancer.
@@harihurtig6157 The problem is not on how to connect the balancer but where to hide it in the olderEEL Battery Box. The new ones have a bigger front with a place designated to put the balancer it. In the old box you need to slide it behind the SEPLOS BMS and if you're not careful you fry everything
@@Michelangelo509 I have the app installed, but I was greeted with a pin code. Turns out the default pin code is 123456 Took me several videos to find that. Also my neey came with seperate wires, which is progress, as the first PCB version was not capable of using the neey together with the Seplos.
Nice Solution :)

Yes, I run into the same issue.
You can turn off the balancer after balancing or change the balance current to 2A for a while.
@@alexp.4163 You can try to turn off the balancer after balancing or change the balance current to 2A for a while.

@@LemonLight-y1w same here, 2A balancing current will still trigger BMS cell voltage warnings.
Is there a way to upgrade an older version of the EEL Battery Box?
please contact howard@eelbattery.com for details

@@frankoptis You could just connect the Neey 4A Balancer with the wiring-harness that's shipped with the unit.

@@frankoptis Don't you have space above the batteries? Or was that to small?
I finally got the balancer with my v3 box. But it is configured for 24 NCM cells and is 6 digit pincode protected. How can I reset that config?
With NEEY app on Android GSM . App. does not works great on Iphone ( i my case ).

I just purchased this (˵ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°˵)
