There are no permanent friends or permanent enemies but only permanent interests in international relations. Geopolitics doesn't care about morality. If you are not powerful enough to protect your sovereignty, you're going to be used by bigger powers.

Lastly, Indian's not understanding psychology is just baseless considering their immense contribution in psychology. But the west will tell you it all started in Germany but ancient Indian texts and Chinese texts speak of it in great detail. India has for a long time after independence tried again and again to pitch for a peaceful and inclusive world. Whether it be NAM which provided space for countries not wanting to get sucked into the Cold War or the Panchsheel with China via which India aimed to establish a strong long term relationship with China.
The problem was never with India’s intention. India has fought 5 full scale conventional wars in the last 75 years. NONE OF WHICH WERE STARTED BY INDIA. India has realised that it can’t change the world. The attitude of India is not aggressive but actively defensive. There’s no harm in trying to defend the interest of your people especially when no one else would (based on the last 7 decades). India sympathises with Ukraine, Israel and Palestine as we have gone through the same phase in our recent history, not to forget the trauma of the civilisational past. But we have to choose pragmatism. India did not choose to buy Russian weapons. The US via virtue of providing military tech to the military dictatorship of Pakistan pushed India towards Russia. You cannot undo the past in a few years. Especially not in an environment when economic and military power buys you a ticket to be a garb of being a moral custodian of the world (in case of US) where your actions are not held to account.
Russia fights for land and resources.
On the other hand Pakistan fights for religion. Don’t believe me, there are plenty of works by Christine Fair on the topic. Not to mention the military policy of the Pakistan army where it mentions “Ghazwa e Hind” as an integral policy of their institution. “Ghazwa e Hind” is a medieval Islamic concept which talks about the bloody conquest of India where the “Kafirs” or non-Muslims in India would be slaughtered to the extent that the rivers in Northern India would run red with blood and the remaining population would be converted to Islam.
China on the other hand fights for land and resources as well.
For India, it’s not about a moral choice. It’s about choosing survival or death.
Self-improvement is necessary. The whole world should do it. Especially the US, EU5 and Russia. Not taking into account other EU nations who haven’t f****d the world. You cannot expect to adopt the attitude of Jesus, Rama, Krishna or Buddha when the guy in the front is holding a gun to your head. Shouldn’t it be the guy with the gun who should work more on self improvement rather than the victim.
Yes you are right as India never did invasion of anyone rather we lost lands of historical India from Afghanistan to barma and Bangladesh and from tibbet in chaina to Kerala our history map but today we have half land even we not try to do war with china still they want India land for expansion they give loan south Asian countries and take over their lan for hundred of Year in hand of their own.they are did this with srilanka, Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal. That's why we are starting huge investment and defense start-ups in India. we are not interested in war but forcefully we have to do it.

Just because we consider them allies does not imply equality. France is being made a scapegoat here, while other European nations are also benefiting from these actions and indirectly supporting them

Countries cannot and should not take moral stances. There is a reality and we have to maneuver it in a way that suits our national interest. France has some common values with india ,that we cherish,and some acts that we dont agree with. But indian foreign policy has to find middle ground to have options ready to get leverage in geopolitics. France ,phillipines,mauritius, Russia, armenia,greece, african union , egypt,Yemen,Iran, italy,israel, UAE,Saudi, Madagascar are all leverage options for geopolitical tussle on the high table.
simple answer we are friends but we today just see national interest and we are not ally of any country doesn't matter if its RUSSIA,USA or any country.

France and India have a partnership and mutual agreements that seem to be working out well for both countries. That’s not exactly fandom. The entire western hemisphere were either colonial powers, or tried to be colonial powers and failed or in case of USA have imperialistic ambitions and control over places like Hawaii, which was technically a colony. if we only view this point on principle, then the eastern hemisphere and western hemisphere should not be interacting at all. all Western interests should be gotten rid of, all trade should be stopped both commercial and military. Not quite practical . so the question should be…do the former colonized countries like India (which themselves are still recovering ) need to fight wars for current colonized countries or should current colonized countries get together and overthrow their colonizer? the latter would be more effective and would cause less damaged to those still colonized. Also, India’s stance has always been to come to the table and talk treaties. Not something seen in the western hemisphere, which is more interested in fighting it out in wars.
I know Europe will be worried a lot if Trump returns. But we need trump to win because once a while such leaders elected disrupt/ shake the geopolitics and then new shape takes place.

Yes France is a colonizer but France supported Bharat in very crucial times. Like when Bharat did neuclear test france was the only country that supportes us even after US sanctions. People of Bharat dont forget who stand with us in tough times.
With French you have to see what is the greater of 2 evils. One side though not directly running counties, but by influence and proxy, on other side, France like India wants to have its own independent and sovereign foreign policy and not be a lanky to USA, while being a part of NATO at the same time. We Indians hold no grudge to British, we like to forgive but not forget, same can be exercised for France. So with that the answer is we can work with France to make the world greater multi polar and exercise greater sovereignty and options as India grows for next 2-3 decades.

And now Pakistan is buying the same Indian products with double costs through Saudi.😂 And now when Pakistan is literally begging to India to resume trades, we are not even picking his phone-call.😂 Anyway in the case of France, you may know it is the only European nation who carry on their external affairs ignoring U.S.A completely.😂 Whenever India has achieved something very big ex: Neuclear power, Space race, etc. etc. France has always supported India going against US and rest of Europe. France never has any dirty secret interest from India. And the relation is so strong that last year we had invited U.S president as prime guest in our Republic day making an exception(Normally we call the French president from the time of Independence by default). But U.S tried to show us attitude. So, we invited France as the substitution. And they had come without feeling it disrespectful. So, in one sentence: We don't make geopolitical relationships on the basis of any particular ideology or emotions even from our past. Again, juat because we are friends with France, doesn't mean we agree with eeveything they do. India's policy has been of non interference in other nation's politoco-economico-social issues. You would have nevee seen Indian government comment on internal workings of any country whether we like it or not. Unless it has direct bearing upon well being of Indians. You can say, most of our governments have had this policy.
Secondly Britian is our colonizer, we do have good relations with them. Germany, Dutch, Italy, Spain, America, Denmark, Portugal, you name it, every country has been a colonizer.

We know that France was a colonial power and we don't agree with what they're doing even today. But the thing is, today the geopolitics is all about situationships. Right now, having good relations with France is beneficial to us and so that's why we will bear with them. Now, as compared to the British, that's different because the Brits were directly our colonizers whereas France was not.
