Chvrches is amazing live, saw them twice last year! Lauren has such a powerful voice, especially live. This song is definitely one of their more dancey fun songs, but Chvrches has songs that range from dancey fun pop to incredibly emotional cry my eyes out songs! Super versatile and talented!
I love Chvrches, seen them live and own some of their vinyl. But I would never call Lavren's voice "powerful." "Fitting" yes, "soothing" yes, "effective" yes, "vulnerable" yes, but not "powerful." I saw a video of her performing a live duet of "Bury It" with Hayley Williams of Paramore. The difference in their voices was profound. Hayley, now she has a powerful voice! She can belt out high notes with range, control, and power. By comparison, Lavren's voice sounded dainty, soft, and weak. I will admit that Lavren's voice has improved with age. She sounds consistently better live now than ever. Again, this is coming from a fan of Chvrches, who likes Lavren's voice. But powerful her voice is not. I would however agree that her lyrics are powerful and deep.
@@11cylynt11 Totally agree, Lauren does not have much range vocally but is still a good singer and can hold a note, Hannah of London Grammar is more what i would call powerful, had the pleasure of seeing lg live and her voice cuts right through you in the best possible way, i haven't seen chvrches live (yet) so maybe i'm being a little harsh on Lauren
@@11cylynt11 Saw them live this month and it's impressive how similar is her voice compared to the records. It's amazing that I felt like I was listening the music using headphones, except for the fact that I was seeing her in front of me :) Her voice may not be powerful, but it is perfect for the kind of music she sing - and their covers are fantastic as well.
@Eduardo Pimentel Yes I agree, that's why I said her voice was "fitting." As in, her voice is fitting for the music the band makes. She does have a nice, soothing voice. But I stand by what I said. If you compare her to other singers, her voice is not as powerful in terms of range, volume, projection, and control.👍🏽✌🏾
I'm a die hard fan till the day 0 and I'm very impressed how much more consistent they have became live through the years. They deserve all the success they are gaining. Love you guys!
Chvrches making “How Not To Drown” with Robert Smith gets me every time. 💙 This song will likely be a hit, just by default of the catchy hook. I hope they continue to collaborate with other great artists and push the boundaries of alt rock. Nicely done! 🙌
This band is so amazing and like secret gems, they become more and more meaningful as they keep being loyal to their essence! This song in particular left me wanting for more. So Classic, but at the same time so new! They have the touch to bring back to life sounds!
I saw Chvrches live in Rio, they opened for Coldplay concerts here in Brazil. And I just loved it. I didn't know Chvrches since then, so it was such a nice surprise.
chvrches never misses. chvrches never fails there is no presentation of them that is bad. they are awesome forever. can't wait so see them again here in Brazil!!!!
I first discovered these guys while out for a drive and I had tuned into Indie88 in Toronto and at first I thought it was Carly Rae Jepsen until the announcer came on and said it was CHVRCHES. Looked into them now I can't get enough. Only other time I ever had that experience was when I first discovered the band Stars in 2008 and was blown away when I saw them live. Haven't seen CHVRCHES live yet, but I'm hoping that day is soon if they're in Toronto again. If they're on the same bill as Stars I'm so there!
Solid tune! Been a fan of the band since the beginning. Love watching them grow and evolve throughout the years. Screen Violence is definitely in my top 5 albums of all time.
Saw them live supporting Coldplay in Manchester. They were amazing ...and i'd never heard of them before. She has a brilliant voice and is a top performer.
Потрясающая песня. Обожаю творчество Chvrches, особенно когда катаюсь на велике по горам, на набережной. Жаль, что для нашей страны применили ограничения, людям бы не помешало слушать что- то прекрасное, а не грязь
I saw this band every single time they came anywhere close to where I lived at the time. Ft. Collins, DC a few times and now Asheville this past summer! Hope they come to the Carolinas again on their next tour
Never heard about them.... They resemble (to me) another group called "The Cranberries" (a Rock band) in the '90s. I did enjoy it. I like the singer's fashion style and voice. Good luck to them!! 👏🏻
From Scotland :) I listened to this song on my FLAC player and i was like i bet she has nice brown eyes so i googled it when i got home and found out i was right! I wonder how i guessed that right? Anyway i was so suprised to see she is from Scotland 40 miles from me xxx
this maybe be a repective comment on actual chvrches time, I'ma fan from the first album and to see the singer evolution on stage is marvelous. she was so shy and quiet and she dominates tha stage. it's so pleasent to watch her confidence now
💙
🖤
2:33 I love how Lauren takes the time to step back and remind everyone that she's not the only member of the band

@@11cylynt11 I think she's incredibly powerful! Her voice is an absolute power house in my opinion, gives me chills. We can agree to disagree!

I'd be happy for them but if songs like Graffiti & Miracle can't crack the Top 40 then I don't think it's gonna happen.
That song has been around for a while it wasn't a hit unfortunately
Marnosmarket695 I think they were referring to this song, Over, being a hit.
Alt Rock?🤣🤣🤣🤣 This is ELECTRO POP!
@@DTheProducer This is actually Synthpop
I saw them live last year and they’re amazing!
Me too!
@@Kered-9 Me too in "Miami"
@mysticstrider there are some, actually. Right now I can just remember “clearest blue” in heartstopper and “forever” in elite, both netflix shows.
Every outfit she dresses up in is so cool! 😍 Amazing voice! Props to the bois in the back for creating awesome music!
I was here ten years ago when they first performed "The Mother We Share". I'll be here in ten years from now when they'll return with another banger.
Hell yeahh me too.
Same!!! 😂
I remember watching them for the first time at SXSW for their US Debut. Been a fan ever since.
One of my favourite bands. This has classic pop feel.
This band is so amazing and like secret gems, they become more and more meaningful as they keep being loyal to their essence! This song in particular left me wanting for more. So Classic, but at the same time so new! They have the touch to bring back to life sounds!
I saw then last month here in Brazil.

Shes really come so far. Been there since the beginning and now it seems effortless. One of my all time favorites. So proud.
I saw Chvrches live in Rio, they opened for Coldplay concerts here in Brazil. And I just loved it. I didn't know Chvrches since then, so it was such a nice surprise.
Saw them live twice in Austin, the last time was about 7ish years ago at Emo's. They are phenomenal to see live - strongly recommend!
Oh my god THIS IS AMAZING!!!!
chvrches never misses. chvrches never fails
there is no presentation of them that is bad.
they are awesome forever. can't wait so see them again here in Brazil!!!!
OMGGG LOVE CHVRCHES SM!!!!
So proud of them🫶🏻
Awesome arrangement. Such a great vibe.
I mean, they’ve always sounded great, but they are truly mastering their craft and it shows. That and Lauren mastering the craft of being a QUEEN!!😊❤
Love from Brazil! Miss u all already!!!
Hi, I'm from Iran and I love yourself🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷
Cool! I met the band during the opening of Coldplay shows in Brasil :) 🎉🇧🇷
Love this band I remember seeing them, in Sydney just as they were growing. LIVE IS LIKE STUDIO!!!
Conheci eles no show de Coldplay em São Paulo e amei!! 🇧🇷
I LOVED this new single!!! I'm so blessed that I got the see it live here in Brazil! 💜💜💜💜
I saw them for the first time here in Brazil in opening of Cold Play show... I loved!

Chvrches, you're so brilliant ! Such a powerful energy and faith ! Thank you !
One of the best bands in the world! 🖤🔥🫡
Solid tune! Been a fan of the band since the beginning. Love watching them grow and evolve throughout the years. Screen Violence is definitely in my top 5 albums of all time.
Great performance of a great song❤️ Well done Lauren, Iain, Martin & Johnny🤘
Lauren Mayberry and Chvrches can do no wrong. I’m so glad they didn’t make us wait for for an album to hear this one. It’s a real treat.
Saw them live supporting Coldplay in Manchester. They were amazing ...and i'd never heard of them before. She has a brilliant voice and is a top performer.
Saw them in a little club last year in Napa Ca and was blown away. Lauren is an honest to gods rock star. Very impressive band and songwriters.
Just watched them opening for Coldplay here in Rio and fell in love with their music!

She’s so good
Really hope they do Death Stranding 2!
My #1 fav band! Saw them at Lolla a couple years back - freaking awesome!
This is my first time hearing this song, its amazing!
Great song...sounds like a hit
I saw this band every single time they came anywhere close to where I lived at the time. Ft. Collins, DC a few times and now Asheville this past summer! Hope they come to the Carolinas again on their next tour
CHVRCHES Killed it! good job guys, I know the song will only get better with time too live just like the LID songs did.
Phenomenal as ever. ❤❤❤
Should have given them more time! Loved this performance, but they're amazing live.
I've been a fan of Chvrches since their debut album, "The Bones Of What You Believe" and they're one of my all-time favorites!
красотка с шикарным голосом
Loved them here in Brazil. New fan!

They're nothing like the Cranberries.
Cranberries are from Ireland, Chvrches from Scotland.
She definitely has a similar high vibrato. I'm willing to bet she was a fan growing up and it influenced her singing voice.
i saw them live opening for coldplay and damn they’re amazing!
Her voice is so beautiful
Saw it live and it's amazing!!
omg i love her
Ух, какая тут Лорен... Макияж, каблучки, ножки... Шикарно!)) А песня, да, классная))
Yes, she is gorgeous.
Heard them singing clearest blues, been a fan ever since❤
I love CHVRCHES so much
Music can change your mood just like that this song caught me at the right time to help me❤
Congrats to them. Love em.
IM LOVING THIS
I love it her
that guitar from 1:30 to 1:46!
Nice to see Lauren in the spotlight.❤

She is the best and the prettiest 🙂 (but I admit that I like her better with less glamour)
Now come to Australia! You guys are amazing, lauren is exceptional!
Dude I watched the majority of the show then fell asleep at the commercial break right before CHVRCHES preformed. Not fair!
Amazing performance 👏
Lauren 🥰🥰🥰
beautiful. 💖
Saw for first time at Manchester last week supporting Coldplay
👏👏👏👏👏
Nice performance and nice costume 😁. I love this song 👍
Apple Music tells me this was my 3rd most played song in 2023. Yes, I do indeed love this song soooo much.
I'm in love with her :)
All the real fans here noticed how Lauren changed the tune at 00:51 from original version. Love it ❤
Amazing. Can't wait to see them at rock city this year
Know anyone with spare tickets 😅
Fabulous
They are really the best.
In my mind you as a band made it from the moment you became chvches and you being on that show was an honour for them
this maybe be a repective comment on actual chvrches time, I'ma fan from the first album and to see the singer evolution on stage is marvelous. she was so shy and quiet and she dominates tha stage. it's so pleasent to watch her confidence now
Can't wait to see you guys back in Kansas City!!!
CHVRCHES FOR LIFE!!!
Legendary, Iconic, my qveen, etc., and Lavren's a fox too.
Love it!! ❤️❤️
Lauren 😍😍😍
Congratulations 🎊
