    Hi mate has it got an automated bail arm (clicks back after casting) mine doesn't you have to replace it manually or it stays up and just keeps clicking while you wind ? Thanks 👍

      To be fair I've never noticed as I always trap the line with my finger to feel the lead down etc unless am going to the clip then fairs I don't use my finger, but I've allways either cranked the handle or just close it manually whilst keeping tension on the line to stop it birds nesting up its just the 2 ways I've always done it, when winding to bring back the bailarm it's a nasty click so 98% of the time I just bring it back manually, smaller reels winding are fine but these 14000 size don't like it

    Why one should pick the ci4+ over the regular ultegra ? I was looking at the 5500 series for my feeders..

      The ci4 + has more and better bearings aids smoothness and added strength

      @@camocarpycuttzy But does it worth the almost double the price ? Or i should be just fine with the regular ultegra 5500 ?

    • @camocarpycuttzy

      It all depends what your wanting to achieve range etc, the 5500 are a smaller spool quite alot smaller so range is highly limited plus the extra bearings keep the spindle and spool straighter with less wobble that aids to the longer range cast aswell then you've got your cranking power with the bigger reels, if your fishing small ponds/lakes etc then the 5500s will be fine but if your on bigger waters where you need to be accurate at long range then go 14000,tothe novices you will only noticed the difference on the reels if you've got both in your hands standard ultegra and the uprateds side byside

    Hey mate, do you think its much better then speedmaster 14000xtc?

    • @camocarpycuttzy
      @camocarpycuttzy  3 роки тому +1

      For casting 1000000% the spool has a slower up and down meaning you get more wraps on the spool results in better casting and much lighter aswell

      Teleki David, the speedmaster 14000xtc has all the same features regarding aero wrap etc. The main difference on the reels are the materials they made up. I got both reel tyoes. Same cast length and super slow oscilliation. The main difference is the durability :)

      New answer. Speedmaster 14000xtc is better. No noise when reeling in :) Ultegras make noise like a mofo when u reel in tackles etc, now i tried em.

    i also bought 2 of these, and i am very very very disappointed, they both make the most insane noise when reeling in when u got a tackle on. Never been more disappointed in a reel before.

      Mine are silent you might have a dodgey set or grit in them, mine are that quite am looking into the spool clicker upgrades, there silent in casting / reeling in with or without a fish on and a very faint click on runs I've got to be right on them to hear them, it could be mine are over greased from the factory or the ice washers but can't see the ice washers doing anything to the noise that's just the clutch power only handle bearings have been upgraded for a smoother faster spin other than those said there completely standard for now next upgrade is full ceramic bearings internal

      I use a either a 6000 or a 8000 spool reducer depending on line diameter unless your talking about shifting the washers or ice washers

    to be fair my 5000 feeder reel that costs me 30 pounds do exactly the same thing of "smoothness" when i put the handle in the same place as at 6:44, all that after 2 years of fishing once a week for 8-9 months a year, i am not so sure that this is a sign that shows us if it's good or not. Now don't get me wrong, i am salivating for a shimano reel, i just wanna point that out :D smoke in reel

      It was more of a unboxing review when these first came out, distance casting these are a world of there own with zero frap ups and mega extra yards gained over the dawias big pits, many have said there are flaws with these with line falling of the spools but that's only on incorrect slack line set ups used, cranking power is fast and at 200 yards it needs to be on a 5000 real with a bait boat to get you to 200 yards you would be forever cranking it back, these are still tight as a drum been hammered even without splash mats under the reels no service ever done since I got them just a basic wipe from time to time belting reels never look back On them

    They rust out

    • @camocarpycuttzy
      @camocarpycuttzy  4 роки тому +3

      Any reel requires servicing and regreasing so if there never serviced I'd say yes they would, but when you spend this type of money why wunt you either fully service them your self if you know how to or even send them off from time to time, I look at it this way do you buy a car and never service it and expect it to last years no cause you wouldn't the main component to stop rust on any type of metal even excessive wear is oil/grease, there's ways you can prolong the life span to have fewer services, one is not to submerge it under water ie soaking the braid etc and to use a splash matt to stop the grit going in if your on a none grassed bank and the other is a basic wipe down, it don't matter what reels anybody owns shimano, dawia, Mitchell, Nash, fox, Penn so on and on the main gearing and spindle is metal, yes some are stainless and we know stainless don't rust but they still get pitted or corrosions forming on them
