I’m from western Pennsylvania, and the next town over from me is called Slippery Rock, home of Slippery Rock University. About an hour south of me is Beaver County, and has towns such as Beaver Falls, Big Beaver, and just plain old Beaver. Then in the neighboring Butler County, there is a town there called Mars.
I love this stuff! Really fun video. I'll be back! We have Toad Suck, Fifty-Six, Forty-Four, Booger Hollow, Smackover, Ink, and so many more here in Arkansas
Lol, its hilarious to see Reisterstown and Boring mentioned on here. I grew up one Bmore County suburb over basically. It's definitely pronounced RYE-STERS-TOWN, though.
Thank you Mileage Mike for featuring White Settlement, Texas. I get so tired of having to explain that to people on a regular basis. You’re the best thank you.
I actually grew up in China, TX for the first 8 years of my life! Surprisingly busy little town, since US-90 runs right through the middle of it. Still drive through China all the time on my drives to Beaumont
I actually drove through Y City last year. It is nothing more than the junction of US 71 and US 270. 270 is a gorgeous drive through the Oachita (pronounced Wha-chi-tah) Forest on the way to Hot Springs. Very spotty cell phone reception on parts of US 270, but that’s refreshing in a way. :) I lost track of the number of Baptist churches on 71 and 270. And quite a few small cemeteries. And I saw several billboards advertising liquor stores before entering dry counties.
My Mom lives in Pungoteague and it's surrounded by Onancock, Little Hell, and Hacksneck. It's in Virginia in the peninsula North of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and on the Maryland State Line you have Assateague Island. I live in New Jersey and like to go Camping in Pennsylvania and found Lickdale Near The I-81/I-78 Interchange. In the UK they have Twatt, Dick Place, Cock Bridge, Crapstone, Cockermouth, Penistone, Cock Alley, Fingeringhoe, Ass Hill, and Shitterton.
I used to live between two unincorporated communities in Tennessee called Difficult and Defeated. We gave people directions to our house by saying "Turn right at the intersection of Difficult and Defeated".
In addition to China, TX, which is out by Beaumont, there is a sleepy little town down around San Antone called China Grove, made famous by the Doobie Brothers.
Many travelers do a double take when they see Pewee Valley, Ky. But it's Pewee, not Peewee. The Pewee is a bird. With 2 e's after the P, it's an infielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Truth or Consequences is my number 1 by far. Hel (with one L) is very famous in Poland, it's a our longest peninusla, and there is a Bus no. 666 from Gdańsk, but it's probably called after a cscandinavian Goddes.
The fact that you included Intercourse and Blue Ball, but left out Dick, Michigan was disappointing. Illinois has some good names, like Normal, Effingham, and Cairo {pronounced CAY-ro).
just looking at maps i discovered a ton of goofy town names in newfoundland. dildo, placentia, conception bay south, come by chance, cow head, goobies, etc
I heard that there is a cheeky billboard in or near Gas, Kansas. It is said to read “Passing Gas.” 😂
Your mind's in the gutter...
...And it's hilarious! 😂

I'd like to see Hamburg, Ark. and Fries, Va. become sister cities.
LOL...we moved to that area of Pennsylvania for awhile and looking at the road signs never got boring! 😂 Yes, the Amish have a way with words.......
Peculiar, MO. Got its name in a strange way.
There’s also Santa Claus Indiana, and Booger Hole West Virginia

I was just about to mention that pronunciation correction

I recently drove through Intercourse while listening to a video discussing polygamy. 😂🤔
Don't forget, when in South Carolina, that you have to go southeast to get to North from Due West. But you have to go even further up to find Central.
No lie, I have been to Gas, Kansas
I chuckle when out-of-staters struggle with pronouncing town names. :)
i live in cumming , ga😂.

I used to live 15 miles down the interstate from a place called Cooter in Missouri
I used to live between two unincorporated communities in Tennessee called Difficult and Defeated. We gave people directions to our house by saying "Turn right at the intersection of Difficult and Defeated".
There is a Blue Ball, Ohio and 7 miles or so to the east is the the town of Red Lion. These are in the Cincinnati/Dayton metro areas.
Yooooooo Mike! Wassup 🐐.
How interesting is it to name A town after A US state or even A Country
There’s a town in Kansas named Ulysses. It is also the county seat of Grant County. :)
Intercourse, Florida also. Between Kissimmee and Haines City
China may be in Texas, but Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Armenia are in South Carolina.
A honorable mention that should have been mentioned is Slaughterville, OK
There is Humptulips WA!
😂
There's a town in Texas with a crazy name that's outside of Conroe TX off of SH-105
Are you referring to Cut and Shoot? 3:05
@frank-qf9pm yep
In addition to China, TX, which is out by Beaumont, there is a sleepy little town down around San Antone called China Grove, made famous by the Doobie Brothers.
French Lick and Santa Claus, Ind. are both great resort and vacation towns.

I get to tell people I have Accidental relatives.
S.N.P.J., Pennsylvania
What Cheer, Iowa
Geneva-On-The-Lake, Ohio
Sam Black Church, West Virginia
Eighty Four, Pennsylvania
My family and I used to go on vacation at Geneva-on-the-Lake when I was a kid. It is also known as the “Redneck Riviera.”
Slapout, OK and Hooker OK didn't make it on the list.
I kind of like Smut Eye, AL; Floyds Knobs, IN; and Booger Hole, WV. 🤣
You forgot Travelers Rest SC.
Knockemstiff, Ohio
So you go looking in Arkansas, and completely forget that Flippin place in the north?!
Glenn Quagmire did not make it through this video.
The fact that you included Intercourse and Blue Ball, but left out Dick, Michigan was disappointing.
Illinois has some good names, like Normal, Effingham, and Cairo {pronounced CAY-ro).
Lol. Sounds like Michigan can give Pennsylvania a run for its money.
just looking at maps i discovered a ton of goofy town names in newfoundland. dildo, placentia, conception bay south, come by chance, cow head, goobies, etc
Wow. Gotta wonder what it’s like when they’re doing town paperwork 😂
I’m surprised Gun Barrel City, Texas

Yep ,never been to Hell Michigan heard they have a good ice cream shop though☺☺

You didn't taste the water in Sweetwater TX? Then I sure hope you didn't try the water in Sulphur Springs TX, on the other side of Dallas. Yuck.
