I bought these recently, not because of LDAC but because they genuinely seemed to have great sound quality for an open ear design, and I was not disappointed. I think you should be comparing the sound quality of these to other open ear design phones and not in-ear. People buying these types of phones, like me, do it because they are way more comfortable. I use them all day at work with no issues and I am okay sacrificing sound quality. I have a set of proper headphones for that. They are significantly better than other offerings of the same design at the same price point.
Thanks for the comment. Yes they should be compared to open ears but I'm normally an in-ear user myself for the sound and isolation they bring. Good point, thanks for watching and the comment!
I waited for this review, thanks.
Which phone did you use in this video?
I used my Redmi K30 Pro Zoom, still runs like a champ and even has BT version updates. Love it's LDAC support plus it has the only 3.5mm! Remember when phones had that!
I was just watching a live preview of these earbuds, and then I found your review! Very good. I just need a pair of wireless earbuds without spending too much, since I already have a Beyerdynamic for music listening and the wired similar earbuds coming with my old P30 Pro, working very good. But I need a wireless one, so considering these are the only one budget priced earbuds with LDAC... why not? I'm already used to this shape and the voice sounds decent to me. I was interested in the Soundcore by Anker Life A3i and Edifier TWS1 PRO, but this one has LDAC, so it looked interesting. Let's say my main focus should be on the microphone quality, but hey sound quality is also important.
Common problem with all of these models from soundpeats is a fatal flaw where the individual buds refuse to pair with each other . There's better options in this price bracket imo.
I have yet to have that issue with their buds, I guess reviewers get "golden" units sent out to us?
@@Techtablets In fairness it might just be an issue with earlier versions of Bluetooth. I understand these are running 5.2 . Appreciate the honesty of your reviews.
That's my problem also. i have a true air 2 but the buds wont pair with each other and the touch isnt working anymire.
@@michaelfaraday7388 Then why not make some suggestions on alternative earbuds?
This design of half in ear earbuds, is great for casual listening and making phone calls. And this is a good offering from sound peats in that respect. But to fully take advantage of the LDAC format, in ear buds are the way to go I think.
Thank you for the detailed review Sir Chris. ✌✌👍
Totally agree!
ldac is useless when its implemented driver is tonally shit. even a tonally good tws with AAC/SBC may sound a lot better than LDAC with badly implemented driver
Driver and then this open ear style I don't get why they used it with LDAC, at least in-ear style. Hybrid style so a decent driver + BA would be good.
Chris, any chance you could review some bone conduction headphones? I highly respect and trust your opinions.
I've not had any offers but I hope to in the future. I'm really interested as I've never own a pair, only tried them at events like IFA and MWC.
I respect what Soundpeats is doung by providing many options in reasonable price but after purchasing there best sounding tws Soundpeats h1 long time back, as we can find all over praise for them, i found the tonality and sound too dark and prefer my lypertek tevi(pureplay z3 ) as compared. They could have provided ldac codec in h1 which is battery monster in soundpeats tws lineup but no they provide hi res codec in open ear design tws. Totally do not understand the approach here.
Anyone here know how this compares to the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live? Not much options out there when it comes to open ear style TWS.
Im also having the same dilemma... Been using the Buds Live for over a year and ive liked them so far, but at the same time I know that they are kind of old and maybe there are other pairs with better sound (the aspect that matters the most to me). I just wanna know if these soundpeats (or other open style like the airpods 3) are better sounding than the buds live.
@@ektasix I gave in and bought a pair to try against my Buds Live. It's more comfortable to wear and has slightly better sound imo especially after you play around the EQ in the Soundpeats app, however I wouldn't consider it an upgrade over the Live. I'll still be sticking to the Live as I prefer the stemless design, easy device switching, better/more customizable controls, and the option to completely turn off touch controls. Soundpeats app only allows you to disable single tap touch.
I mostly use these semi-open TWS pairs for sleeping and making calls at work anyway, so YMMV. I hope the next iteration has editable touch controls, higher IP rating, multipoint connection, and maybe a shorter stem design, maybe then I can fully recommend them over the Buds Live.
Tl;dr, stick to the Buds Live if you already have it, otherwise this is a great budget alternative.
@@Keepscene I don't own both but I can't pick between the two. Do you recommend that I go straight for the Buds live or the budget option Air 3 Deluxe HS?
Can you please double-confirm that the recording application is indeed picking up the stream from the buds and not the phone/laptop?? I have a hard time believing the quality of your Mic samples lately. The sound is just too good for the codec standards to be possible, Once bluetooth sets are used as a microphone they switch to the headset profile which is very limited in codec support, only very recently devices are entering the market with new profiles but i would be surprised if a 40 dollar device does this.
Before I use the clip I tap on the mics around the headset and it confirmed it was being recorded from the mics. Yes this mic quality was much better than I expected but still if you listen there is noise and some compression.
Chris, you should also check out the Lenovo LP40 Pros. Really impressive for the budget price. Once again pod style but very comfortable and great sound.
Maybe I’m just not so fond of the open ear style so much. I prefer in ears.
Which earbuds under 50$ would you recommend?
Soundpeats mini
Please tell me which headphones sound better in Air 3 or Air 3 Deluxe XS?
The Air 3 Deluxe HS
Can u review the latest OnePlus buds
nice, I wonder how they will go through dank pods
Dank pods what are those?
Can you use just 1 bud while the other is charging?
Yes just leave it in the case
It's pretty pointless being high ress certified and having LDAC when you want open earbud and it just lets lose of sounds in, the quality is not as good
I think so it would have been better saving LDAC for in-ear style, don't udnerstand why they did it with these.
@@Techtablets marketing.
Bought one last week, ldac does drain the battery, it doesnt last more than 1 hour, so I stick to aac/sbc......not really worthy since FLAC source is not familiar to market yet
@@ivodeniro OR the music that you listen to is.. timeless
1 hour? I get around 4. If you get an hour it's faulty
Pls review soundpeats cybergear tws
Large driver plus ldac will drain the battery so quickly
I've never seen so many negative people in the comments 😂 I guess soundpeats just really rub people the wrong way
Seems so
Ldac needs special music apps to transfer data !so thesee earbuds aren't beneficial in most cases even if ldac is turned on . IOS users won't benefit from this technology like android users but!! Not all the apps on Android can do the job either!!
🥰🥰🥰
I really like this brand but this style isn't for me.
They really need a Mr T lookalike for their advertisments. "I peaty the fool that doesn't use SoundPeats!". 🤣
Haha Mr T for advertisments would be cool. Yes not really my style either and using LDAC with open ears seems suc ha stange choice to me.
Bro please adapt the 18:9 aspect ratio. Almost all phones these days comes with 20:9 screens. So 18:9 expect ratio makes more sense than 16:9.
Nope my camera is 16:9 I'm not cropping videos.
Horrible style and trash design real cheap looking and this brand is not the best at this Price segment
Can’t say I’m a fan either if this AirPod open style of earbud but their other in ear ones are good.
@@Techtablets I had a couple of soundpeats tws earbuds before but their sound quality is pretty crap and terrible battery Life compared to other brands now I won't touch this brand I am enjoying now my JBL live pro 2 there sound is awesome 👍
What would you recommend in that price range? I'm kind of new to the wireless world
@@hottube135 Of course JBL ones are great... They're branded and more expensive than Soundpeats 🤦
