yes its is definitely from 1977 according to the CBSRMT archive site. the date is year, month, day. so it reads as September 7, 1977. Its a version of a military Julian date. Its used to Archive files to be able to keep them in chronological order for easier retrieving.
Yep, we used that in the Navy, lot of countries use it too actually, such as Israel. And Europeans put Day Month Year. Its easy to figure it out using one's commonsense...but sense isnt so common these days..js
