Great trip. Great filmed. Hell of a ride. I rode a Royal Enfield Himalayan 2019 from Pokhara to Beni. It was much easier in March. After all, the summer monsoon doesn't come until June and the meltwater was already gone in March. However, I did not make the Annapurna trip. I preferred to drive in the foothills of the Himalayas. For me, many roads in the mountains were just as bumpy as yours. But we had no water and no mud. Because we drove secondary roads we had also no problems with the buses and trucks. Given we are speaking about asia, these roads are quite alright. This needs more a tough bike than a dual sport, Himalayan, Kawasaki KLR or Yamaha T 700 are perfect for this kind of trip specially as it is difficult to find good gasoline. I do admire the drivers to use CRF for that kind of voyage as seat is not exactly comfortable and you cannot have luggages. You really need to find a laundry every day, Also, it is better to be at least four for safety.
The CRF’s were perfect for our journey and we will call it an adventure with a little less comfort and searching for gasoline. A laundry every day, no no no, we did had our luggage on the bikes and a little dirt never hurt.
