@@magicorthodoxy Thank you! I hope one day you will review one of my projects... I am working on an origami-folded paper wallet that can be used to create various effects! And I thank you because I have learned a lot about wallets from your videos too! (I am also a wallet collector)
🙏🏼🙏🏼 Note that this piece could also be modified to perform for stage or parlor etc…it can easily be performed as a “penny to impossible location” type effect similar to dollar to impossible location, drawing to impossible location, bill in lemon etc whereby a penny is borrowed, marked, scratched, date memorized etc and then is destroyed (melted/vanished etc) and it is brought back trapped inside a new sealed (or empty) beer bottle someone was holding the entire time and can be kept as an impossible souvenir bottle - There are many things you can do!
I just got this last night, and bam, this pops up in my notifications this morning! So glad you like this. Always a little worried you'll say it's crap when that happens. 😂 Had trouble with it at first, because the only glass bottle I had was a SMALL Coke bottle, and I couldn't get the penny in. A dime works, but it also comes right out. So I made a dime/quarter gimmick as well as the penny. I eventually found a different bottle that works. In case you haven't guessed, I'm not a huge beer drinker (I'm old), ESPecially not Corona. 😐
Glass Coke bottles vary in shape, size & color from store to store but you can find ones that a dime works perfectly with and it does not come out…it’s actually trapped further down in the neck with these bottles! Mine are the green tinted 355ml kind, I would send a pic here but it doesn’t look like I can.
Catching up on the channel. Watched this. Bought it. Absolutely worth $19.95 for the "I would never have tried that" secret. And having got that, there's so much you can do. Thanks for the reviews! (And the members section... Readers of this should subscribe if they can afford it!)
Dig that shirt, David! Thanks for reviewing this. I was on Penguin earlier today and I was curious about this trick. All my questions are answered now. Best wishes and kindest regards to you, Sir.
It felt akin to Bill In Lemon to me. You are going to set up your lemons and at some point in time during your show you make a bill vanish and appear in a lemon. You have your bottle set and at some point in time you are going to make a penny melt through the bottom of a bottle. I will probably keep using my typical method of coin in bottle, but this is a great method to have in the tool box.
I haven’t bought it and don’t know how to buy things online not do I know if it would work on my iPhone. I’m really curious as to the message could you give me a clue?
Thanks David. I wasn't interested but now I am. Good stuff. By the way I do care about the information and knowk😊😊😊. And take a vacation you need it . Relax for a bit 😊
Does he give credit to Justin Miller? He put out a trick years ago called factory sealed that I bought actually. It’s the same method as one of Michael’s I see.
Factory sealed is credited. He credits E, Nick V, even when the visual was created by Alexis Ward. Factory Sealed uses a plastic bottle this uses glass.
I just started watching your review, haven't finished, but immediately with the video demo of the penny melting through, wow! But, the penny in the bottle looks unusual to me. I wonder if the souvenir penny in bottle can be closely looked at with the spectator not seeing anything odd with the penny. ;)
The UK penny or British penny is slightly larger at 20.3 mm in diameter, whereas the US penny is 19.05 mm in diameter. Not a big difference & I teach on the download how to pull off doing this with slightly larger foreign etc coins.
I have one two questions. Their answers will determine if this effect is right for me : 1) can I use the smaller glass bottles (not the tiny liqueur bottles) and 2) would this be a good effect for multiple performances at a walk-around restaurant gig?
Thank you for the response David. So if I wanted to perform this in a walk-around restaurant gig, I would need to return to my “magic bag” to pick-up another prepared bottle. Right? Well, that still is not too bad - kinda like the Rubik’s cube is a bottle. I think I’ll keep this one on my Wishlist for now. 😊
You can definitely use the mini bottles like “Coronita” brand etc, they work great and you can even carry these in your pocket easily…the penny will also look bigger in that type of bottle which is cool. You can walk around with either method if you aren’t letting spectators keep the bottle until you’re ready to stop performing it…and then let that last person/group keep the bottle, just depends on the method you’re using. Sometimes it will be impromptu if you find a bottle at someone’s table/they’re holding that will work for the first method I teach. In the full performance on the trailer you will see one instance where I notice a bottle someone else happened to be holding, and I did an impromptu version with no setup.
I should add that method #1 I teach can be performed impromptu and the coin can be signed…you’d just most likely need to break the bottle at the end with that version, they can’t always keep method #1. I also teach a version of an impossible souvenir that can be done on the spot (sort of a combo of method 1 & 2), you just need the right type of bottle. The very way I discovered this principle was actually impromptu on the spot for my family and I fooled them all badly. It all depends on what version you want to perform, but a lot more can be done in terms of handlings, variations, signatures on both the coin and bottle, transpos, impossible location etc which I teach on future upgrade kits in addition to new tips, techniques, troubleshooting foreign coins, mini bottles etc
The penny push method looks very similar to Justin Miller's "factory sealed" coin in bottle from years ago. I could be wrong but my first thought is it works almost the same way to "hide" the penny so to speak
Yes I give credit in the download for that visual inspiration though so many have used it, I was applying it to my system/utility bottle to illustrate how dynamic it is. Most of the effects I created, including my Optical Rise penetration, Quarter Penny & the Slam (just a few of the many) require an empty bottle, but this one was nice if you want liquid in your glass impossible souvenir bottle. You can use other coin in bottle handlings you know with this or combine them, or make it your own! You can do so many different kinds of visual penetrations with this as well as other effects/handlings/variations/presentational angles, & subtleties that I just didn’t have the time to go over - releasing in various formats soon!
Why hello! Thank you for the response Michael, I'm definitely eyeballing this as my next purchase. Im happy that you put out a nice product. Looking forward to it. @@michaeljohnauthentic
Word of warning for UK based magicians, and I reckon anyone using foreign coins. It simply doesn't work as well. You will definitely have to alter coins due to size differences. There's better methods, even if it means not giving the spectators the bottle. This is too finicky. I'm sure the US version works a treat, but you need an environment with decent noise coverage and angles are tight
Have you tried using a 5p coin with a 355ml glass coke bottle? For UK based magicians, you can also trouble shoot by using a “Dremel” tool on the inside mouth of the bottle, in addition to the other methods I teach, to help make a certain UK bottle/coin combination actually work for you.
@@michaeljohnauthentic That was my first trial actually, but unfortunately some 5ps will just fall through the top and others are too wide. I'm not sure why there's an apparent size difference. The dremel tool isn't a bad idea, but it would require more prep and carrying one around if you're not willing to carry bottles around with you. I believe your method is brilliant, and the effect is fantastic, but definitely is region specific unless you want to add a lot more prep. @@CynicalCharmerfor the 5p’s that are too wide, try method #2 that I teach on the download. Or try different bottles/coins. I also go over what to do with foreign coins that are a little too large. I also mention another tip towards the end of the download of what you can apply to the bottle that may also help you out.
I believe we spoke about this on the cafe, but there are many things you can do besides what I teach regarding clean up. If you know Sinful, that handling for hiding the coin as you rotate and spin the bottle around works well here after the rise. You can also do a version where the bottle is immediately clean to hand out…but there won’t be a visual retention of the coin resting on the bottom right after the rise - instead you immediately shake the bottle after the rise and the coin is seen shaking around in the bottle as the visual retention and the bottle is totally clean to hand out but your hand will still be dirty for a moment (this is the version of the optical rise shown in the video where I’m wearing the pink shirt). If you have a few indifferent coins resting on your fingers of the hand you do the rise on, once the coin is inside, you can bring the bottle forward and rest it over these coins on your fingers for a moment to clean up that way. Perhaps you will even come up with your own ways to cleanup! I encourage everyone to get creative with this system and make it your own. So many visuals are possible here with this utility bottle/system that I feel your imagination is really the limit. It has been for me, at least ;) Note also that the rise can be done with the bottle resting on its side! (Just do the rise at the base of the bottle neck where it meets/becomes the body of the bottle)
"Penny Push" Looks identical to 'Factory sealed'. is this a different method in this trick? FS used a plastic bottle but the principle looks the same. The OGs will remember FS.
The thing that fries my 🤯 is that why cant i see the penny in ANY of the optical rise clips??? I know its already in there but how is it possible to conceal it that invisibly? Unless im naive....lol. Oh and i actually did drop a penny into a Modelo bottle, which surprised me. Maybe certain older pennies fit? All that said thanks David for your detailed review. Michael messaged me in other forums and he was honest and generous in breaking alot down for me, not revealing the secret, just helping me understand better what's possible. And the fact he will be adding chapters to the project gets me more on board. Ill definitely be getting this very soon!🤝
@@michaeljohnauthentic haha, thanks Michael, I totally can't wait! Just waiting to scrape up some extra dollars👍🏻....so excited and totally believe you in all of your assurances. I'll let you know once I've gotten it. Congrats
Great review MO! 2 questions: 1. Will this work with UK currency? 2. Can it be signed? (I was thinking maybe they sign one side and the magician signs the other? Potentially?) Thanks :)
There are ways in which you can make a signed coin work, one I taught and the others I haven’t yet. One involves “double writing” a spectators initials in real time but I can’t teach that here…will be on a future add-on download! But if you do French Kiss by Houchin…apply that principle of the magi’s initials to the penny…and the spectator signs the bottle. Can also do a “date miscall”…or for a tv or stage setting you could have a confederate do the set up with a specs initialed coin in real time while you are performing and then they get that bottle to you somehow on stage/camera, etc…A very “Berglas approach” there, but there are many things you can potentially do regarding a signature but my optical rise is so visual…
“They sign one side and the magician signs the other” could work, but you’d need to smash the bottle at the end to accomplish a sleight with the coin. There is also a trick on Ellusionist called “Revoke”…that principle could in theory be applied here for a signed coin as well.
@michaeljohnauthentic that's good to know, thanks! I'm assuming (based on what I think I understand, which is admittedly very little lol) that you could make the penny penetrate a sealed bottle? Would involve some pre-gig prep and a chat with the bar staff, but in theory, you could go to spectators at a bar, buy a bottle of beer but ask the bar staff not to open it, introduce the penny, penetrate the penny....then hand out the sealed bottle for examination? Either way, I'm still going to purchase this as I know I'll use it regardless, but I do really like the penetration with the liquid inside 👌
@@huzidamasta greetings! Yes, you can do that. You would just be limited to certain types of visual penetrations since the liquid inside obscures many views of the coin and you have to be more careful when it’s full..you’ll see why. For instance, you can’t really see my optical rise when the bottle is full, even if it’s water…an empty bottle is best for the rise.
Kevin’s Passin’ Thru was actually one of the inspirations for me to journey down this CIB/CTB path as a creator (I learned it when he first released it on his site over 20 years ago & went on to learn them all.) For my optical rise discovery, I was trying to create a similar slow visual to Kevin’s piece, but without a gimmick to p**m. I went in a different direction visually & the methods are totally different, so Kevin’s piece is not an impossible souvenir. That being said, you can certainly apply his visual & gimmick to my souvenir system for an impossible souvenir ending, as well as most other cib handlings you already know. I film Pretty Penny 2.0 in addition to a few other projects in 2 weeks at the P3 theater…stay tuned!
Hello everyone, First Let's get the history straight as source material, legal documents, and testimonials of witnesses seeing Factory Sealed in the public eye have already backed this up. EVERYTHING on the Factory Sealed product page at ellusionist is 100% correct. In EARLY 2006, I sent a detailed video to the founder Brad Christian at ellusionist which was quite lengthy. This of course was well after I had already created it. Those hands are my own you see in the beginning of the Factory Sealed trailer which was just ONE expression of my creation. After the video was sent and viewed, I immediately received a call from Brad with the discussion of developing this effect for production and sale to magicians. Justin Miller at that time was on a roll and in a ZONE with Coin Magic as he still is today (especially when you put coins in his hands). This guy is no stranger to magic and performing in the real world in front of real people. So, Brad suggested for him to join in on the development team and even do the teaching because of his well known razor sharp cutting edge experience with tutorials. I immediately agreed. Others then joined in including a very well respected creator named Wayne Houchin. After working as a team on this project, Justin then performed and demonstrated several of its versions to both laymen and professional magicians in Ohio Magic Shops and on California Streets and EVERYWHERE in between. Stopping at gas stations, stores, street corners, you name it. He brought Factory Sealed to the world and in the public eye well before its official release as I was contracted to allow this with my full permission. We wanted this to be road tested with positive results from real working magicians so others would enjoy it as well with all the prime fixings and the top notch, "cream of the crop" material, that was foolproof. Even a developed and now well know and widely performed surrounded version is included. As the ellusionist product page states..."The piece grew to mythic proportions" It wasn't till later in 2007 (possible the month of April) when Sean Fields published something in his notes that kind of sounded similar to just one of my versions of Factory Sealed. In the notes, it never actually detailed the principle to a tee to the correct scientific verbiage and from what I remember according to posts, simply confused people. Later in that year Alex Ward released his effect which looks nowhere near Factory Sealed as my concentration and idea was to create a coin penetration SLOWLY through an unopened, Factory Sealed bottle. Both Sean and Alex, who are fine lovers of magic, published their material AFTER my effect "Factory Sealed" was created and already in the public eye and even being performed by fellow magicians as well as posts about it on world wide magic forums. Later, there where many many many products released including a DVD which offered a nice pre show touch called "The Hanrahand Hold" by Jeremy Hanrahand who labeled Factory Sealed "A thing of Beauty" which he himself announced he would be using and applying to the Factory Sealed penetration and expression of a CIB. The idea of a SLOW penetration through an Unopened, Factory Sealed bottle is of my own. And to have the coin stuck as souvenir, although not emphasized in impromptu magic, is also discussed in the teachings of Factory Sealed in case anyone wanted to go that route. Because of the effectiveness and unusual and unique subtleties, nuances, and enhancements that you can find on the Factory Sealed tutorial, you can see that is where the real magic moment takes place. The souvenir version is offered as a cherry on top so to speak.
dont apreciate your comparison on the old way if coin in bottle. you are dishonsest on the comparison. you dont walk off with the coin on the bottle like a dufus. you pop the coing back out of the bottle and end clean. i watch your reviews alit, but feel you were dishonest a bit here. thanks for reading.
I believe David meant if you want to give the illusion that the coin CANNOT come back out, you must reset in private and they cannot examine it. Sure you can shake the folding coin back out of the bottle as is traditionally done and do a switch of the coin, but it’s not an impossible souvenir. My method is a complete substitute for the folding coin, a coin in bottle that is finally an impossible souvenir bottle they can take home, keep forever and never be able to get the coin back out unless they shatter the bottle.

FYI, I enjoyed the Penny fact. Thanks!
😊👍
AWESOME !!!
Brian! Once you get this, you will understand what’s happening ;)
@@michaeljohnauthentic haha, thanks Michael, I totally can't wait! Just waiting to scrape up some extra dollars👍🏻....so excited and totally believe you in all of your assurances. I'll let you know once I've gotten it. Congrats
A great review David 😊👍😊😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks David. I just mentioned this last night to you in another comment. You must have ESP!
maybe I do ....
Great review MO! 2 questions:
1. Will this work with UK currency?
2. Can it be signed? (I was thinking maybe they sign one side and the magician signs the other? Potentially?)
Thanks :)
@@michaeljohnauthentic sure, but you could do the "tip forward" penetration with a sealed bottle, right?
Is there something physical I'll get with the purchase or is this a magic method and lesson? Cheers
download only
Hmmm..wonder if it works on Canadians coins. We have no penny anymore
any small coin you dont mind losing
Yes & a bonus for you - Canadian coins are magnetic ;)
Great reviews! Can you review Hornet by Saturn Magic? it looks awesome

A lot of hype and trailer push …
Worth purchasing to learn the method.
Thanks David 👍👍
👍👍👍
I still haven't been able to put a penny in the bottle, I chipped one bottle trying to put a penny in. The pennies just won't go in the bottle.
he said that could happen, you just need to be patient and do it like he said
this looks like kevin parker passing thru
hmmm maybe?
Should have called it penny-tration
nailed it
🤣🤣
That was an option! But a special thanks to Paul Harris…
Even a developed and now well know and widely performed
surrounded version is included.
This has been discontinued, I was just off to buy it.

dont apreciate your comparison on the old way if coin in bottle. you are dishonsest on the comparison. you dont walk off with the coin on the bottle like a dufus. you pop the coing back out of the bottle and end clean.
i watch your reviews alit, but feel you were dishonest a bit here. thanks for reading.
