A blast from the past, magnificent 👍
Thanks for sharing. I was actually there that day.
Good old days👍
btw ..... I like to equate South Melbourne of that 83-85 period with Essendon's 1999-2001 era. Both winning one title, but should have been 2.
Lol at McMillan's "why always me?" act, and Dougy Brown dancing with Wilson.
As per the other Preston v South Melbourne game from 1986 (and really, all games from that era) the crowd is swathed in Brown ... but with the odd splashes of Bright Red. It's like I am watching the great 1973 movie 'Don't Look Now'
THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA
LONG LIVE PRESTON MACEDONIA
Laurie spot on with his prediction at 16:41
If what McMillan did at 44:35 happened a few years later there would have been a riot!!!
What a contrast 2 minutes later between Brown and Wilson!!!
Not an Ancient Macedonian symbol in site .... from either set of supporters!
And rival supporters right next to each other with their banners.
@@paulmavroudis2958 I may get around to doing that piece for you in relation to that 1986 match. I might do it as a joint review with this game.

Geez those kids near the mic are annoying.
They may very well be, but did you hear them appear to mimic the chanting from their older supporters at the 22:05 min mark? I think they are chanting 'Nashi'!
Or maybe they are simply saying 'Your shit'. LOL
This was the way the football in Australia was going somewhere why would the name
Makedonia be wrong for Australia but not
Tge Macedonians
Tgat time Greece had no idea about the vergina sun or the Macedonian name only after 1990 with the independence of republic of Macedonia they became Macedonians
