Thank you! This video helped me decide on the e2e design for a quilt I've just finished. I couldn't seem to come up with an idea and I think this is it! I love the way you explain things. E2e is very different from custom quilting and it does require a different thought process because of the redundancy of the pattern.... but you addressed that very well in your comments. Thank you for the inspiration!
Your free motion quilting foot seems to just float across your fabric. I’m not quite getting that with my Juki TL 18. What needle are you using and have you set your machine to a fixed speed Any chance on your next video you could just have a few seconds of the actual audio I just want to hear your machine. It just might help me. It’s hard to explain.
So, the foot actually DOES hop. In my vids, I set the playback speed at 2x and that gives the illusion that it's floating. My needle is a 90/14 quilting needle from schmetz. My max speed is set at medium, but I using the foot control to modulate speed.
On your juki, you may need to release more of the presser foot pressure. The machines will definitely not sound the same, as yours is a straight stitch only, right?
@@ConsciousQuilting 😂😂😂 so now I know that I can slow it down to half and then I can see it in real time 😹😹 would it be nice if we could actually sew that fast I’m actually working on the other pattern the geometric one with curves. I marked it out on the fabric with a pen and did a test run. Looks pretty darn cool. Later today, I’ll probably use chalk. Don’t trust myself yet and this is for Neighbor so it’s not like it’s my table runner.
@@ConsciousQuilting yes mine is a straight stitch only. I also have a singer 9960 but for the money I spent on the Juki I would rather get used to doing free motion quilting on that. I actually had to increase the presser foot pressure because my needle top thread was skipping, wasn’t even catching the bobbin thread. It was batiks and I don’t like working with batiks. I ended up switching also to A microtex either it’s a 9014 or 8012 I can’t remember and it finally started to behave.
I watched your vid when you were setting up your machine and zoomed in on that presser foot pressure. Not surprised you had to increase it. Is that the free motion foot that came with the machine?
Thanks you! I love the rhythm of an edge to edge pattern. Thanks for the inspiration to do this on a sit down machine❤
I too love seeing the edge to edge designs. Of course you do it magnificently. Thank you!
I hope I am able to do this one day! That is beautiful!
Love your channel! I get so excited with your techniques I want to try them all. Thank you for all you do!
Thank you so much for this! I have several quilts for foster kids - flannel on the front, fleece fir the backing and this works perfectly!
I LOVE this ❤
Thanks! I'm going to try this
Спасибо за то, что делитесь своим мастерством!
Thank you

Beautiful - thank you so much for sharing this design!
This was wonderful to watch. Thank you for all the explanations. I’m resuming my quest to improve my FMQ skills. New subbie. Hello from San Diego 🏝️😊
Love seeing edge to edge quilting!
Gorgeous!
This is beautiful! I like giving the quilt "space to breathe". What thread are you using?
