@@MikeGDetailingunfortunately a year will hardly give any indication of how it will perform for 6 years (or lifetime in the pro version). Likely this is one of the key points the marketing relies on (with many companies).
@@jayhoughton558 a year is a good indication of how well it will perform. If 95% of the coating is still intact then it will easily make it another year. I think APP should be in a smaller bottle and shrink the price too. You've hardly used any 😂. Looks like a great product, I may have used this instead of Dquartz Go. But I have got to be satisfied with what I've got. A little bit of FOMO 😂. Xpel PPF is really good, it's on both my cars. Headlights the lot. I've also got piano black B pillars that's been PPF'D I can highly recommend it 👌
It was really created with the professional C6 installers in mind, I think that bottle will do something like 40+ cars. I think Hydro Lite was a later addition due to consumer demand (at least I was demanding it). They are considering making a smaller size.
APP will be coming in a smaller bottle. I barely touched the bottle so it can last forever if not doing it professionally. The coating itself is super easy to work with. I enjoy d working with it and similar to the DIY coatings in ease of use. The XPEL kits came in and those are now installed and coated with hydro lite.
@MikeGDetailing Fantastic, you'll be pleased with Xpel, I've applied Gtechiq Halo V2 on one of my cars ppf and it's great, the beading is better than Dquartz Go by a mile but I've topped GO with some of the Gtechiq C2 as a temporary until I can find something a bit more edgier. You'll be please with Xpel!! Perfect, APP seems like a bit of a Halo product as its so unique. How everything is changing so fast this year. I think it would be great for the guy who only wants to apply a coating for a number of years and is happy to leave it. A big bottle would surely go off after a year and be binned and be wasteful. DIY are absolutely killing it ATM 🙌
@krawanizky3756 Unfortunately Hydrlite isn't available in my country ATM, DQ GO is ok. I'm kinda happy with it. The car looks good, it's given it a higher pencil hardness. Until its looking a little shabby and unsightly I'll keep it on. I've paid the money. Toppers are given it a better boost of water beads. Had Hydro Lite been available, I would have bought this and app much like yourself and Mike.
Looks good but at that price I would rather apply a coating once a year. After adding the price of the polish there are a lot of great coatings priced alot cheaper.
I would just like to know the reasoning behind why they rate this for 6 years vs the DIY 8 year but have them say hydro lite is a better performing coating? If it is a better coating why not rate it for 8 years OR say the 8 year coating lasts 6, etc. Also, if it is just an easier to apply version of the professional Hydro why say it’s only rated for 6 years vs the “lifetime” rating for the professional. I am interested in the coating but would just like some more info as I am sure others would as well!
Keep in mind that there are tradeoffs for longevity vs. gloss with standard $150 and under coatings. If there isn't a limit on pricing when designing the chemistry, one can create a 6 year coating with the best in gloss and hydrophibicity properties. I would submit that these C6 coatings are more likely to perform at 100% performance for more of their lifetimes than the less expensive DIY Detail products. Most people won't even pony up the $150 a goot standard coating cost so the $300 one is a non-starter and that's OK. The people who see value in the highest-performing coating for a 5 or 6 year lifespan will gladly pay the premium and those that see no value will continue to use their lower priced ceramic coatings or even a more frequent SiO2 silica sealer product.

I think "self healing" is kind of a gimmick that has almost run its course. Every one I've seen has never lived up to those claims and lacks performance in other areas. Use what you like, but I think you're getting what you pay for with C6.
Not for me and here’s why. Most folks, including me, won’t keep a coating on the car for 5 or 6 years. The paint will get swirled up and it’ll get polished and that’ll remove the coating. So no need to spend $200 more for a coating that isn’t much better than the 5 year coating. Add in the fact most folks also don’t even keep a car 6 years.
I mean it’s the newest big thing.. same with anything. The new big thing always costs more, cars, bows, boats, phones, etc so I mean I don’t think $300 is out of line. Some coatings are as much as $500. Do I wish it was cheaper sure! But u get what u pay for usually. And they ll run a sale at some point.
Thanks for your input. The R&D, components, and blending technology, are all expensive. The performance of C6 Ceramics Hydro Lite is commencerait with the price. People asked for a professional coating that’s available to the consumer. That’s what we are delivering, but this comes at a cost.
