@platterjockey Hi, I'm using a wooden Lazy Susan as the rotating base. I don't know whether you are familiar with a Lazy Susan but if not, I would suggest that you do a google search on this term. As for the material to grip the record on the Lazy Susan, it's just a piece of common rubber mat that you can buy from any car accessory shop or even department store.
A better way: 1. Put LP on your own turntable. 2.Using an Emitex pad, wipe both sides with a mixture of distilled water and denatured alcohol,( the distilled water washes and the alcohol evaporates both). 3 Play record. Total time...about 4 minutes.
First part seems right. But then you pretty much just pushed all the lifted dirt back into the grooves with the cloth. The liquid has to be drawn off (vacuum) or rinsed off.
With all respect due I have a couple suggestions. 1. Cleaning solution: I use 50% alcohol, 50% white vinegar. This mixture doesn't have the surface tension distilled water has. It'll get all the way into the groove. 2. I don't know where you're from or how common carpet is in your country [different cultures, different norms]. If you have a household vacuum you could cost affectively fashion an attachment so you don't have to be just moving the dirt around.
How funny, people complain about HIS feets like they don't have feets of they're own? It's easy to judge others by they're looks when they are too afraid to show themselves.
I just use Dawn dishwashing liquid and a MicroFiber washcloth- does the trick, gets those fingerprints off, too. Hey- it's plastic! Just wash it! Nice feet, by the way...
Now what do I use to serve my dips and chips?
Could you list the parts that you had? It's a little hard to see in the clip. Thanks for the upload!
Hi, Could you explain exactly what it is that you are using as a turntable and platter? What are you using for friction on the platter?

Do not use detergent, it damages vinyl records! The rest of the procedure is very good!
Plug the jack in and turn up the volume, coz I don't hear shate!

You're right, Mark. They ARE nice!
but all mud stays inside the groove-I think vacuum cleaning is most important
@alain1346 absolument juste.
It could have been "kicked-up-a-notch" with some good music. I don't like wind distortion in a video.
@urbanexplorer1996 worth worth worth. bah. so centered on value of monetary. silly.
@sault14 HO HO HO!! that was the worst comment i ever saw on you tube.. LOL!!
good job ruining neil youngs first solo album . witch is worth over $100
WHY DID WE HAVE TO SEE YOUR FEET THE ENTIRE TIME! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Wtf?! Not cool!

I could have done w/o seeing his feet. It grossed me out.
Now what do I use to serve my dips and chips?
