Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and children, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return. (Ali Imran 3:14)
Dear Parents, humans were created by Allah, the Most Pure and Exalted, with an inclination towards loving children, spouses, and worldly wealth. Among these, people also like to invest to gain worldly wealth.
For a believer (Muslim), the value of deeds is not only viewed from worldly material but also has an ukhrawi (hereafter) value. Thus, in investing, a believer (Muslim) does not only look at material profits but is also taught by the Prophet Muhammad to always consider the hereafter value behind those profits.
Thus, Parents, the Prophet conveyed to us that there are at least three forms of investment that a person can enjoy until the afterlife.
When the descendants of Adam have died, leaving this mortal world, everything is cut off from him, including his deeds and wealth, except for three things that will reach him.
The first is ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah) or donations, and such. The second is beneficial knowledge that he has learned and taught to others. And the third, Parents, is a righteous child. (Sahih Muslim 1631)
Now, I want to explain the third point, which is a righteous child. Why is a righteous child the best investment for Parents? Because when someone dies or leaves this world, he is cut off from his deeds. He can no longer pray, fast, pay zakat, or give charity.
However, a righteous child whom we have educated in an Islamic way, with good morals and good worship, will become a mediator who sends rewards to us when we are in the afterlife.
Therefore, Parents, I would like to introduce Insan Cendekia Magnet School (ICMS), an Islamic boarding school aimed at educating its students to become good individuals with noble character and mastering applied technology.
