I used to be friends with Steve in High School and I remember him getting made fun of because he was into house music cause everybody else in the Bronx listened to Hip Hop. Glad to see he made it.
Its just not ordinary for a Puerto Rican to listen to house. Ibiza has only one club that plays hip hop and people who got to that club get laughed at. Its crazy to see the differences between both cultures and how some people are born and raised in places they never relate to.

I met them @ Dance Tracks in NYC a long time ago when they were REALLY young. They came in with their dad and 1 of them asked Phil if he had "Mystery Of Love" by Mr. Fingers....I turned around and was in shock. I couldn't believe these kids even knew what that was! But even more than that,I appreciated the fact that they DID know it as young as they were. A sign of things to come I guess..

If I were showing my old house, I would have knocked on the door and told the people that lived there that I used to live in that house, would they mind if I came in to take a look at how it looks now? I did that once. The people shared with me because that's where I grew up. Next time you go visit your old house, try to get to know the people that live there now and just share with them. It's a great way to make a new acquaintance. When you do what you do, it's always good to share the love and network. :-) Make friends wherever you go because you never know when you might need them and vice versa.
