That kid should be very proud of himself. Im almost a green belt and I dont even break boards that thick. Also for practice, I recommend reusable taekwondo boards. You can get a set of difficulty ones or just one. They are around $20 and they are very good practice! Edit: im a black tip now, that kid is still strong af Edit 2: im rec belt now, ik the board isnt think but the kid is strong
Not only is this not a test, (board is super thin) but the kid looks like hes gonna fall from just kicking. For a yellow belt, I feel like the stance could definently have been improved in before the test.
am i living in a different dojo cause im a person tryna get yellow belt and i do moves on a punching bag or pertending to do a kicks, punches on a partner 😅
Is that it and there was me expecting a challenge I ent even started training taekwondo yet and I could do that looks like I’ll be a yellow belt instantly 😂😂
@@roanoazoros1fan358 yes, I practice martial arts (taekwondo) and I have indeed done yellow belt testing. Part of it is board breaking but most of it covers everything you've done, from safety drills, to techniques, to forms, to even sparring. It's tough and it's not just breaking a board. Sure it's an early belt so they go pretty easy on the student but I assure you, if you have no taekwondo experience, you couldn't pass the test.
My test had extreme pressure involved. I had to memorize the four basics for my level (balchagi, jichumsogi, ariomaki and pumse*) I had to be able to do a combo of roundhouse kick, twist roundhouse and tifligi. I also needed to do well in self defense, pad techniques, and sparring. That kid had to brake a board. No my friend, no. That was not a test.

those are probably timber boards, timber boards are more easier to break than the plastic ones
Some can use a finger to break it. btw I'm a 2nd Dan black belt still going in my goal to become an instructor
I'm a mixed martial artist with a 1st degree black belt in tae Kwon do and I have never had trouble breaking a board like that.

Look at the girl in the background. They are taekwondo boards not just a normal board
Why appreciating only the girls?

Im confused too. That kick could make the kid fall because of how unbalanced the stance is. Not only that, but the board is SO thin.
