I don't have any of those little pin connectors by themselves so I cut open the female end of a servo lead extension wire and removed one of the pins. I pulled the pin with the white wire out and used red for signal/black for ground. It was a little loose so I spread the pins out a little and it stays in there nice and snug now. If anyone can't find an s video cable or those little pin connectors, then you know what to do now. By the way...this is the best tutorial for DIY simulator cable I've found. Your instructions are very thorough. No one else has mentioned what pin on the controller is the correct one. My hat is off to you, brother!
Tip: 1) If SmartProPlus never connects to your transmitter then the most plausible cause is you are trying to insert the 3mm jack as shown in video to 3.5mm headphone jack in your laptop. The 3mm jack is detected as speaker. In order to use the 3mm jack in 3.5mmheadphone jack as microphone you need to 3.5mm headphone jack to microphone and speaker splitter. You can get it dirt cheap. 2)If your transmitter connects but the signal fluctuates too much then go to Manage your audio devices and then choose your external microphone and then decrease its level. The lower the level the more stable will be the signal. Hope it helps!!
work like a charm (flysky fs-i6x). and indeed you can control it with a microfone aswel. (even usb) but good luck making the right tones. (low voice seems to be throttle down)
you could just buy the FS-i6X for the same price or cheaper than the fs-i6 oddly enough. the data cable included on the FS-i6X worked perfect on clearview. I have heard from several sources you can update the firmware to effectively make your fs-6i an X model. Aswell.
1:22 Check with ohm-meter, that there are no bridges (short circuit) between the wires. So, RED wire only connects to tip. BLK only connects to base, BLUE only connects to middle.
hello buddy , i did exactly as in video ,but the roll over and pitch sticks are not getting calibrated , speed and yaw stick works well , kindly advice
Very good and helpful. When I tried my Flysky PPM to Mic input in windows 10 using SmartPropoPlus, the signals are flickering. Any reason ? And how to fix it. Appreciate it.
Transmitter connected. But saying cannot feed position to vjoy device. And in picasim, after clicking joystick, it is saying no joystick detected or available. Please help me bro. 👍
Thank u soo much bro. I used it and was great. But after an hour it started not to working. Now when i connect it connect and disconnect again and again. I tried changing cable and pc and everything. Can u help me plz?
Do I have to power the transmitter by AA batteries or it will get electricity on its own from the pc through stereo cable?? Just asking to avoid any risk of something like shot circuit etc..😕😕
Please bro help me I connected everything as u told in the video and then I installed all the softwares including the Net framework . Then also when the connect the jack to my laptop and open the software it never connects and always keep fluctuating I am unable to connect I have checked my connections 1000 times and I am also not interested in purchasing a cable from banggood which will take ha huuuugge time to come
bro i solved my problem actually it was because i was connecting it into my laptops headphone jack but i realised that u told to connect into microphone port so i purchased a sound card(converts USB to MICROPHONE and HEADPHONE jacks separately )this solved my problem . but when i am using fpv simulator everything is okay but in the picsim software that u told in that i had one problem that my joystick position kept on fluctuating only on the throttle stick . any suggestion for that?? after calibration also. by the way thank you for your jugaad. visit my channel i think we have same ideas.
Please make one video on how to make transmitter usb to ps2 trainer cable . There are no videos on UA-cam of that and many searching for that. I hope you wil get lots of views for that. So make it fast bro
Sir are you have laptop or pc . If laptop then how many aux ports are there as in mine there are only onle jack for headphone not for mic thus I can't use it on my pc.
it works with my win 10 and reflex sim. but no airplane engine sim volume....if i turn up speakers i get a ping noise so loud it will drive u nuts. i have to fly with volume turned down. i just striped one end of the 3.5 stereo cable. And went direct in radio with ppm and a ground.ANYONE HAVE VOLUME???
Yes, Nodays laptops and many PCs come with one common 3.5 jack for both mic and earphones just like our mobile phones. You need to find separate jack which plugs into your laptop female jack and separates min and stereo, though hard to find during lockdown. www.shopclues.com/de-techinn-audio-aux-y-splitter-adapter-cable-35mm-jack-1-male-to-2-female-plug.html?mcid=ps&Search_PLA_Smart_Shopping_BS5&s_kwcid=AL!725!3!409918175436!!!u!!&ef_id=XmxjiwAAAZzj_xBm:20200412092720:s
Verry nice i will also complete this couse some people have a problem with the connection on windows 10,they don't have a v joy 1 connection and this solve the problem,( is a copy paste from RC.GROUPS ) For those of you wondering how to get this working with any radio without the use of a USB dongle, download the application called "SmartPropoPlus" from www.smartpropoplus.com/site/ and install it. Hook your radio up with a standard 3.5 mm audio cable and plug it into one of your soundcard speaker ports. SmartPropPlus and vJoy will detect the PPM pulses and transform them into a joystick driver which can later be used with games etc. If you are running Windows 10 x64 as I am, the joystick emulator/driver doesn't work that comes bundled with the application. The solution to that is to install latest SmartPropoplus and ignore the failed installation of vJoy, then manually install vJoy "vJoy_205_050515.exe" from sourceforge.net/projects/vjo...atest/download which will upgrade the older vJoy installation. After the installation is succesfull, follow the below workaround: Copy, paste and replace the following files from C:\Program Files\vJoy\x64 to C:\Program Files\SmartPropoPlus folder: msvcp120.dll msvcr120.dll vJoyInterface.dll This should now make it possible to map input from SPP to vJoy. Now check your "Set up USB game controllers" in Windows and hopefully you should see the "vJoy device". Calibrate your controller and then set up your radio in FPVFreerider. I recommend "use deadzone"
Can you understand this dude? 4:10 WRONG... why didn't he solder yellow/brown leads directly TO the male-to-male header and eliminate the JR connector entirely? This way, it's easy to LOSE the damn header in the carpet and there's an extra break in the connection that doesn't need to exist!
so what if you want to use the connector on the controller to upload firmware? desolder the wires again? yeah thought so. this way is better. or even better would be to use that svideo cable

so basicly you are saying that if i hookup a microfone to the headphone jack and shout in the correct tones i can control a plane in a flight sim?
Logically yes...... But can you do that?????????????????????????????? ;p
yessyou can but in order to generate pulse position modulated signal u have to to fit a signal generator in your mouth ...LOL
It's not a TONE as in not an audio signal, it's a PPM.
@@bobflyman well, it is a tone, but not the conventional sinusoidal tone signal

You need AA to power up the transmitter
should we still go into simulation mode with the radio?
Thank you, this worked!
If we already have S-Video cable do we have to install the Netframework...?
Smartpropoplus detects my controller. But when i start LiftOff the sim doesnt detect it, what am i doing wrong?
I'v got the same problem. Did you solve it?
Excellent job buddy. Thanks.

so are you sure that this will works ALL lap tops and desktops.......hp pavilion needs a 4 way and the mic is and the opposite end of the plug.....
I don't have hp pavilion so I cant verify that.
