Me too Gayla - I have been taking 2 moringa capsules every day for a couple of years now and in the process of doing what you do. I have bought 2 seedlings, a dehydrator, capsules etc. Cant wait to complete the process.
Right! If you cut it to ground then you’ll get multiple branches. Mine froze and now wow it’s a beautiful bush and I already harvested and it comes back fast! Just snap the little leaf branches off. I now planted 10 and gonna plant more. Harvest harvest till the winter comes!

Please research this tree and its fruit and seeds benefits! It IA also called The Miracle Tree. With the seeds, one can purify water to drink. One can make tee also from the leaves and eat the fruit. So many blessings!
It thins blood, so beware, if you have thrombocytopenia. It lowers blood pressure, so know that, too. It’s got good and bad effects, and if you have liver disease, avoid it. Or low BP. Also I’ve read it affects estrogen hormones.
I have moringa trees here in Florida. I started using the leaves in making puréed greens. Went well at first, but then I got heavy-handed and used way too much one evening for supper. No immediate effect, but I woke up in the middle of the night with my pulse racing and gasping for air. I was back to normal by morning, but now I’m afraid of moringa. Moderation in all things!

Yes the will root from a good sized branch. Sometimes branches tossed around and left on the ground will root and form new trees if undisturbed. Seeds will provide a stronger root system however. Thanks for watching and sharing your comment.
Very true. You can grow from a branch. However I do like seed grown. Because you get the giant tap route to Anchor It in. And it has a stronger root system
I used to live in America for over 30 years. I just moved back home to Africa 4 months ago. The Moringa taste different from the ones in America. I'm thinking about growing my own and selling it world wide.
I have like 10 of these in my backyard here in Texas .. I don’t eat it raw .. I use it along with eggs to make an omelette.. also add it with lentils to make a curry
Prior to 2014 we lived in Florida and grew our own Moringa. In 2016 we moved north of the 45th paralle and Moringa do not grow here, (so they say). I found a wonderful company out of Brooksville, FL who sell Moringa seesWe grow them starting from seed (not from our own tree), in April and don't transplant until after the second week of June. Our Moringa are of the miniature type. We grow about a dozen to harvest and 1 in a large pot which enables us to bring "her" inside in early to mid September to weather our winter. Although I dehydrate what we harvest, we have fresh still growing through the winter. It just works for us.
Thank you for this share. I am excited to have found this plant. I am uber flouritoxic which caused metabolic syndrome...amid a host of other health problems. I boil moringa leave with a few stem attached to the leaves, drained the water to a 40cl bottle. Drank it almost throughout the day, could sleep at night, just as though I took an energy drink, cos I took the whole bottle, just a little was remain. It also hurt me a little on my truth, not much just as though my throat was on fire. But it was fine the next day, at least i woke up early and strong after I slept late a lot of pains left me. But then I would be taken more than 20cl per day. I remember I cook it with ginger and some tumeric, most time without tumeric.
Growing up in the province of the Philippine, this trees grow everywhere, we would climb it and pick the leafs and fruits out of it. We make it into Soup and with fish.
What benefits do you get from eating the seeds vs the leaves?. I have hypothyroidism, low iron, low folic, thinning dry brittle hair Wondered if it would help with those issues
Have grown & harvested/powderized the leaves for almost 20 years now. No health issues (@70+). (Mix powdered leaves in smoothie + fulvic acid)😂 Thanks for the tip!
Nice story. Agree too can cause a demise of a human. Moringa is one of the must-grow traditional plants for Tamils in Tamil Nadu , South India and diaspora arnd the world like Msia, Sumatra. We grewup on it - mum cooked it with grated coconut flakes and onions and bits of tempering spice to kill off the bittery radishy taste . Goodluck to planting more of it
it caused me allergy, my mother cooked it with dal for lunch and i ate it, after 10 minutes itching ocurred, i ignored and went to sleep, by the time i woke up, my body is fully covered with red bumbs and is fully itchy and in 4 minutes i loose coniousness and fell down then my sister poured salt water into my mouth, then all that undigested moringa came out in form of vomit, then within few minutes i became normall
Be careful if you are on thyroid hormones. I had a cardiovascular collapse with electrical block in my heart as Moringa blocks the conversion of inactive into the active form of thyroid hormone. But advisable to take if you are diabetic or have high blood pressure, or over-function of your thyroid. I started putting raw leaves into the food of my senior German shepherd and he is much more active, also mentally.

The video was informative, but I don't think that was the right header to put for the video. It's misleading and makes people believe that the tree is bad for you. I would use this video as a "cautionary story ⚠️" Eat/drink the Moringa in moderation as a cut and come again tree. That way you have a tree that lives a long time without continuously buying more. And if taken care of properly, will produce seed pods that can be harvested when ready, eaten in moderation, and planted to produce more Moringa trees! 😊💚

It grows tall very quickly. I trim the tree once in awhile when offshoots come out from the main trunk. You have to do this to get some nice new leaves which are sweeter compared to the older leaves. Very nutritious! I add Moringa leaves to my lentil soup.
I have been taking moringa for a few years now. I no longer have high blood pressure and I don't deal with blood sugar roller coaster anymore. And i just mentally feel good. Will never quit taking it.
tell us more about this plant and how to grow...i have one and during winters drops all the leaves is that ok?also what the minimun temperature that could tolerate
Yes, they drop leaves in winter. I have had them survive temperatures around 35 degrees F. Mature trees do much better. Some have frozen and die back to the base in Central Florida. They often regrow from the roots and recover in the spring. Colder climates may kill them for sure.
You will need a green house. You could also grow in pots keep them trimmed and small. Bring inside when temperatures drop below 55 degrees F. Easy on the water or you will rot them. Thanks for watching.
Unfortunately this is why we have to put warning labels on EVERYTHING does someone really have be told not to eat the trunk of any tree? Apparently some do!

Eating Moringa RAW is more nutritious and healthier. Cooking it destroys the nutritional value of anything.
We just add fresh or dried to about anything. If cooked, when soup/stew is one, then add the leaves. Same for many greens.

Hi Pepe , in Guyana we sautéd the leaves with onions, garlic , salt , pepper and coconut milk it’s very tasty, Guyanese refer to this dish as Sijan bajee . And wait we didn’t stop there 😊 we also used the moringa in fish curry. Very flavourful.
I am going to try some of that dish. Sounds good. Thanks for watching.
@@Pepesplants Go right ahead pep , I think you will find it on Matthews Guyanese Cooking or Being Rocky.
You can also add sardines or tuna and thin slices of unripe papaya fruit after sautéd with onions, pepper and garlic add coconut milk to boil then next the moringa leaves put a little salt to taste and chilli serve hot..
@@aldscanto6684 Wow. Sounds yum! 😋
What about the seeds should they be eaten ?
Am from GHANA and soo many moringa trees has started growing in my garden by itself. I didn't know the benefits of the tree till I watched this video thank you sir😍
Poor children should be fed moringa for proper nutrition and growth.
Plant plenty and eat moringa 2-3 times a week. Then hair stop falling, male sexual health, beautiful cheek for women, etc. Anyone in sports should eat moringa for strength and endurance.
Add in soup, cook in meat, fry as veggies, or boil as veggies and drink the soup. Etc etc.
Free multivitamin. If you have access to abundance of moringa, you don't need to buy multivitamins.
Better mental health for poor children.
Pass the blessings of moringa. 🎉🎉🎉
Shalom❤️❤️❤️.
Vita are you the vida I met in Accra earlier this year.
Please research this tree and its fruit and seeds benefits! It IA also called The Miracle Tree. With the seeds, one can purify water to drink. One can make tee also from the leaves and eat the fruit. So many blessings!

@@rewachadha802 I will have to research it to be correct in sharing how.
It thins blood, so beware, if you have thrombocytopenia. It lowers blood pressure, so know that, too. It’s got good and bad effects, and if you have liver disease, avoid it. Or low BP. Also I’ve read it affects estrogen hormones.
Hi. Can you explain the affect on the liver?
Effects of estrogen too? Good or bad?
Bull crap!!
Moringa is natural healing tree.
@@judyhowell7075I read it helps to balance hormones. So if you take hormones, Im guessing it could effect the way your medicine works.
I’ve heard it helps with liver function.
the young moringa pods are so goood.
As a Filipino, we love to use moringga for soup.....specially chicken soup with papaya or zuccini and morningga leaves...
Sounds great!
@@Pepesplants how much water does it need in a pot grown
People always exaggerate with everything they think that if a little bit is good then a large amount must be better. Everything in moderation.
@rankpa how much leaf did you use at first?
Good to hear that the Tree Of Life is healing many with diverse ailments and also preventing the hidden ones. Always ensure sourcing of Moringa & herbs as well as spices from reputable supplies. Age is a number as long as you equip yourself with more knowledge in all you do. Please keep the good work up as we in Africa are also supporting interested in mother Africa.
Moringa bears a long fruit we call it saijan in the Caribbean, you can you it your soups or even curry with rice
I absolutely totally agree with you of how wonderful about moringa , bcoz I use to grow up with my parents with full of moringa plants around .

In Philippines we usually cooked Moringa leaves as our food. We mixed it in our chicken soup. It's delicious and healthy food.

Sir, plz tell me how to identify edible moringa from non edible , some people say there are many non edible variety of this plant..
No need to plant a moringa seed. You can cut a moringa branch and put in soil. It will grow soon
Do it. Seems like a solid business to me.
Lots of moringa here in the Philippines and I use it often.
I have like 10 of these in my backyard here in Texas .. I don’t eat it raw .. I use it along with eggs to make an omelette.. also add it with lentils to make a curry
I’m in Conroe, Tx…where can I get seeds to try to grow a moringa tree?
I got mine Saturday at the farmers market at valley ranch new caney. $16 I think. Mendez's Gardens is all I know.
It helps with rheumatoid arthritis pain. I use it.
Super hi
We add it in fish soups with lemon grass. We call it "tinola". Very nutritious food!
For that reason I search natural healing & food based metabolism remedies.
Only found Moringa powder a week ago and already have had modt positive happenings.
What are your favorite was to use this? Let me share one powerfully healthy plant usevwithbuou. I too harvest it for wintertime when fresh is not available. Check out health benefits of arugula. Highest scourcen of NO2.
Do you remember the name of the company? I would need to grow one in a pot (AZ).
Moringa also bear a long fruit. you can peel it like a string bean and you add to your cooking.
i saw this tree in dreams, and it wanted me to chew it because i have been going through acid reflux, I'm going to try it
I like your senses of humor
My favorite sir, very helpful for good diet and flat tummy, it's like a detox
I boil moringa leave with a few stem attached to the leaves, drained the water to a 40cl bottle.
Drank it almost throughout the day, could sleep at night, just as though I took an energy drink, cos I took the whole bottle, just a little was remain.
It also hurt me a little on my truth, not much just as though my throat was on fire.
But it was fine the next day, at least i woke up early and strong after I slept late a lot of pains left me.
But then I would be taken more than 20cl per day.
I remember I cook it with ginger and some tumeric, most time without tumeric.
Glad your okay. Need to respect the tree and use carefully. Thanks for your comments.
Where I came from, I eat moringa since I was a kid (kamunggay-Biasaya ,Malunngay-tagalog ) but we didn't eat raw we put it in different kind of soup .
Growing up in the province of the Philippine, this trees grow everywhere, we would climb it and pick the leafs and fruits out of it. We make it into Soup and with fish.
This tree grew wild in Jamaica and back in the day my grandma steamed the leaves with dhal and rice
What benefits do you get from eating the seeds vs the leaves?. I have hypothyroidism, low iron, low folic, thinning dry brittle hair Wondered if it would help with those issues
Put a 1/2 teaspoon of the powder in a smoothie. Dont eat the seeds
Morengga one of my favorite green leafy vegetable, l know it very well so much use on our health & body.
Have grown & harvested/powderized the leaves for almost 20 years now. No health issues (@70+).

We call that Manluggay here in the Philippines and it is considered to be a super food.
We grow this a lot in Philippines. And we cook this with chicken soup called, tinola 😊
very nice and tasty and that's all I do with its leaves, the pods, well, peel, chop into 2 1/2 03 3 inches and mix with other veges
Thanks for your input. Glad to have you share your thoughts with us.
You had a heart attack from moringa???
I have a tree an I picked the leaves dried it an used it when I can to drink
Hello po, we have many moringa or malunggay tree here in the Philippines. Indeed, there's many uses of the leaves itself, a very powerful tree.

I have one five inches high from seed but plan to grow many more.
Mixed moringa with oyster mushroom and bamboo shot, wow! Delicious.
Great video, with a great message, respect the moringa tree! Haha, well done Pepe!
Would not recommend juicing leaves based on my experience, will make you light headed, nauseous, and give you the runs all day
How much did you use
For sure The Tree of Life 🌴
Nahhh. No Filipino has ever died eating moringa. In fact whenever we can we add it to various dishes like tinola for example

I add moringa leaves and flowers to my salad. If you don't want the "zingy" taste, use only the young leaves - the ones at the top.
I wonder if you juice it and take the juice and dilute 10/1 would it provide all the nutrients to plants from veg to harvest???
It grows tall very quickly. I trim the tree once in awhile when offshoots come out from the main trunk. You have to do this to get some nice new leaves which are sweeter compared to the older leaves. Very nutritious! I add Moringa leaves to my lentil soup.
Thanks for the tips!

@@Pepesplants so would recommend to put them inside?or make a construction to keep them safe or they will drop anyway below 10C for example?
@@ABCD15334 ive seen a few videos where people cut them back and or create a cage around and stuff with leaf to help protect if it is very cold.
Will Moringa tree grow and thrive in Edmonton-(AB) Canada like snowy climate.Plz reply as I am a great fan of this trees' nutrient value.
Don't throw it away use it as natural mulch or fertilizer to boost other plants! you never chuck a plant unless its dying, infested or diseased.

how can you tell between black locus vs moringa tree
You were informative and entertaining! I use the Maringa powder, but would like to try the fresh. The powder, At least, it's a bit hard to digest in the beginning, start at a half teaspoon, and can work your way up to 2 teaspoons, Or was it 2 tablespoons, sorry not remembering.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video.
Don't eat much. Two or three leaves are enough.
First time trying it, it burnt my tongue and felt it for the rest of the day haha amazing nutrients surprising my tongue
Thank you for posting. I was curious as to why you cut this tree back so severely that you will soon remove it, as I have been pruning my tree to shape it, using the clippings to start new trees or dry and grind the leaves, put into spice shakers for culinary uses. Had it stopped branching and blossoming?
You need not destroy the plant.. Ouch?
