Mecha Leon is actually my favorite boss and I can agree that he is difficult when trying to knock take damage. In fact, he’s the first boss I’ve ever tooken damage to. I also like how even though the chameleons were secrets to find in the VR game, the developers pulled them back in PS5 as both a boss and enemies.
My personal list: 6) Space Bully Nebulax I personally think his design is rather bland, hot take I know, but it's just an untexturised green blob in a UFO. A spinning wheel where you decide the attacks is great concept but it completely removes difficult scaling as the boss takes more damage, making it too easy as a final boss. No setpieces where you have to chase the boss like the rest. The background as space is generic. The platform as the PS5 is whilst iconic, impossible to take advantage of its environment. It's still a good boss, but has a few problems that separate it from the rest. 5) Falcon McFly Great design and visual spectacle, still creates challenge whilst having a power up that makes you immune. Only problem is that it has no unique environments or setpieces where you chase the boss like those higher in the list that make them really stand out. All around really solid but I wished for a little more. 4) Wako Tako The platforming section at the end elevates it immensely, otherwise it's an all around great boss in its attacks, design etc. 3) Mighty Chewy Great design, incredible use of environment (platforming across skyscrapers with steel gurders flung at you or forced to shatter the windows of terrain he slides at you) and great background. 2) Mecha Leon Stunning design, great background, best use of power up in the entire game, genius attacks (like seriously, combining the fast movement of a chameleon's tongue with the stopwatch to create a timing section is conceptual brilliance). My only issue with him is that he has no build up, he kinda just spawns in, giving him less screentime, as the first time we see him we're already fighting. Compare to Wako Tako, Mighty Chewy or Lady Venorama where we get glimpses of their design before we actually fight, giving the actual fight more suspense. Additionally, he only takes 4 hits to defeat, making him feel weaker by comparison to the others, and there's just less overall interactiveness with him. Only things keeping it back from first. 1) Lady Venomara Enthralling chase sequence at the beginning, outstanding design, great attacks, amazing background, and all of that to have a separate fast paced chase sequence in a different location at the end. Simply perfect.
4:02 The Gorilla, Octopus, and Bird shown here are brothers of the original bosses?! That’s interesting, I did saw some notable differences in the bosses and hearing that they are brothers from the Devs, it does makes sense on why they look different here.
I love how two original main bosses are better than the returning main bosses and the fact they are before a returning bird boss it should’ve been the falcon as the third boss cuz the snake and Chameleon are way better
So the lore of Astro bot is that alien we see in this game is actually the other aliens son when he found out his dad died because of Astro he avenges his dad by taking the cpu chip from the ship now it's up to Astro to rescue the bots beat the alien and retrieve the chip
@@Pixelusually Yeah Nebulax looked more of a final boss and not a minion literally he looks like the mini aliens in this game but at least the the level leading to him was without a doubt the best part of the whole game

Exactly, forgot to mention that they were collectibles in Rescue Mission VR 😁

It also explains why the spider and shark aren't here. I just imagined the alien got mad at them, so they weren't invited.
@@etube6226 Yeah. I thought the Snake and the Chameleon robots were just as creative as they were.
I like lady venomara and space bully nebulax. The rest I still like but those are the two that are my favorites
*the shark and the spider from rescue mission left the chat*
These bosses are not in the new astro bot :(
Wait for Astro Bot 2 perhaps 🤞 Or maybe even a Rescue Mission VR2 🤔
