They should have included this and then have Hans do a reprise of it as his villain song.
They are gonna put Frozen on Broadway, so they might include this song in the Broadway production.
MrGabeanator I was so excited when I found out!!
But it wouldn't make sense in the movie. In the Frozen movie Anna is never show any signs that she felt Elsa was better then her. It wouldn't had fit in.
madeinthesos Agreed. A hundred percent.
In the film Anna constantly refers to herself as just 'ordinary' even when the Duke asks if she has powers too to which she replies 'I'm completely ordinary'. Would this not imply that she believed Elsa was extraordinary and thus believed her to be better than herself?
Is it just me, or do almost all of Anna's songs involve her breaking stuff and falling down at the end?
Victoria Gaa it makes me wonder if this song was originally intended to be used in place of "For the first time in forever".
@@Redstoneprime316 It probably was. Aside from using the same "clumsy while singing" joke, it's also the first song after the time skip and it also serves to introduce Anna's character.
what can we do, she’s quircky and not like other girls
That's how everything ends with me ( : Great minds end alike IDK
It probably wasn’t becuase how would she know about Elsas magical powers yet
This would have added a whole new dimension to Anna's character.
A girl whose so bad at metaphors she doesn't realise she's using similes.
I think that's the joke. She's goofy
Similes ARE metaphors.
@@fernandobanda5734 similes use "Like or as" Metophors do not. So though they are similar to each other both are different.
"Frozen heart" is metaphor
"Beauty like horseshoe" is similar
@Callum Barnett This is an easy debunk. In the first context they're used they're metaphors. "So I'm an extra button on a coat." "So I'm a rusty horseshoe hanging up." At the end she brings them back up as similes obviously but Anna is referring to when she first came up with them.
Anna: Spare...? Am I really just the spare?
I'm not part of the town, not born to be queen
Just somebody hopelessly inbetween
She's the scolar, athlete, poet
I'm the screw up, don't I know it
But then who could ever compare?
Of course they're gonna think I'm just the spare
Well I won't care
So I'm the extra button on a coat
In case an other one comes lose
But if I have to be a button
Why can't I be a button that's of use, oops!
I may lack style and I may lack grace
And once in a while I fall on my face
But this little button deserves a place in the sky
This button wants to fly
Wait, buttons can't fly, it doesn't make any sense!
So I'm a rusty horseshoe hanging up
Over somebody's old barn door
And I'll be hanging there forever
Just wishing the horse had one leg more
And maybe I can't be the perfect one
And maybe I air on the side of fun
But horseshoes need a chance to run somewhere
This horseshoe is more than just a spare
Someday I'll find my thing
A thing that's on my own
That thing that makes me part of something
Not just all alone
If only all this feeling I have in my heart
Could mean something to someone, how I'd love to play that part
So I'm just the second born sister
Who most of the town ignores
Like a button, like a horseshoe
Like a girl who's bad at metaphors
Maybe I don't have a magic touch
And maybe I don't have a talent as such
Just this heart with much, too much to share
So I'll never be the heir, but I'm more than just a spare
Ok, so, HOW DID YOU MEMORIZE THIS SONG, LIKE OML HOW!?!? I love this song so much, it reminds me of being the spare, like a button and a horseshoe. Lol. PEACE
I memorize it too (tipp:hear it 1000000000000000000 times😅)
The song doesn't really fit Anna's character. She seems very confident and comfortable with herself, and doesn't seem to mind at all that she's not the heir. That's quite nice I think.
On the other hand, her feeling a spare explains (watch out, slight spoiler ahead) how she relates to and feels attracted to Hans, who is spare times twelve.
***** maybe Elsa could help Anna out with her insecurities. It would be really sweet and give her a chance to be the big sister she always wanted to be but never could. Besides I don't think Anna would run away after just being reunited with her sister and everyone. The only reason Elsa ran away in the first movie is because she thought she had no other choice and was too dangerous.
hey people what about kristoff isn't he paying attention to Anna lol
I think this would affect her when she was younger. Before her parents died or something? I'm not sure but you do have to learn how to be comfortable with yourself and we did only get a grasp of the sister conflict, not anything else in the childhood scenes
This was how she originally was, but then they changed it, which is why it wasn't included
They gave her codependency though
I like this version because it has Anna knowing Elsa's magic. It's a different story. But I like it.
"who's bad at metaphors" well obviously, because those were similes....
COINCIDENCE, I THINK NOT
Sup Dean
This song reminds me of how freaking hard it is to be oldest because the younger sibling gets all the attention
+Star Guardian Lux All Similes are Metaphors. Just saying.
Happy that this wasn't in, because it implies that Anna feels inferior to Elsa...which is not shown at all in the movie.
They probably rewrote the story after this song was written, which is why they had to cut it.
Yeah, and really that's the vibe I'm getting from a lot of these cut songs. They were good compositions no doubt, but in the context of what we did get in the movie, they were out of place.
Debatable as to whether they should have written the script than the score or the score and then the script.
I could be wrong on this, but maybe, as the Lopez's specialize in Broadway, they did the songs first? Perhaps that's a common practice in Broadway.
For movies I THINK, it could be the other way around.
The songs are really good but not even spaced out throughout the film. Too many are clumped into the first half hour and for the rest of the movie the songs are view and far between. Shame to the best songs (particularly Do You Want to Build a Snow Man and Let It Go) are in the first half hour all the others are alright. 90s Disney movies (Aladdin and Lion King) were much better at spacing the songs out.
"I may lack style, and I may lack grace"
THIS KONG HAS A FUNNY FACE
Listening to all these outtake songs just makes me feel that, this is too good of a story to be rushed into an hour-long children movie! Wish Disney would come up with a sequel, one that give depth to the sisters, and really take the time and tell the story... AND KEEP ANDERSON-LOPEZ!!
they are making a sequel
Kathryn Patchett Where did you hear this?
Aenigma66 The songwriters joked about it in their Oscar's acceptance, but as far as we know-it isn't confirmed. They may use this angle for the broadway adaptation-which is confirmed.
I only wish they could release a special edition , like Beauty and the Beast 2002 dvd with " Human again" added.
Hoko Huang
like an extended version with outtakes "spring pageant", "more than just the spare," and "life's too short" (it would be the reprise, not the original)
It kinda sounds like "The Wizard and I" from Wicked. I also hear pieces of "For the First Time in Forever" in some bits.
omg idina menzel is elsa too and it does
It reminded me of "I'm Not That Girl" at the beginning lol
It's in the same exact key and has the same key changes as "For The First Time In Forever".
For some reason parts it, very small moments, remind of “lost in the woods”
when or what part of "First time in forever" i can't seem to catch it
I can imagine Prince Harry sitting in his room in a corner crying about how much he can relate...
Totally ;-)
yep
@@kayleeschulte2386 no prince harry is a british prince, they're referring to him
And now he’s gotten married and running away to Canada

Wow... almost makes me wish they'd done the version of the movie where Elsa would've been the bad guy. We might've gotten this song in the movie.
That would have made the movie so much more shallow. It's refreshing to finally see a Disney film without a defined villain. Besides, this song would have worked regardless.
***** Well, yeah, the song would've worked no matter what. I still would've liked to see the other version of the film.
***** , did you actually, WATCH the movie? #HANSISOBVIOUSLYTHEVILLAIN
*****
Isn't there still a defined villain end up in the movie? And a rather cheesy one.
I'd rather see Elsa became a villain(ish?) and redeemed herself latter in the end.
This way it would follow the original story a little bit more, also fit the "frozen heart" song.
That is if they really want a villain in this story, otherwise I would suggest they just made the cheesy villain (you know who) simply a good guy, not only the story can go along just fine, the story would be more powerful on the topic of "true love" in my opinion.
ikr like they made both versions
"More Than Just The Spare", which would have explained that Anna is feeling down because she was just a useless spare and Elsa is the heir who was meant to rule over Arendelle. It was later replaced by "For the First Time in Forever" since it does not fit in the story. But during her first meeting with Hans she said she's only a Just and also during the coronation she's a bit shy to stand in front of Elsa because she's not the heir, which explains a lot. Another reason why they deleted it because this personality would make Anna become more like Hans who is insecure to his older brothers.
(Disney Wiki)
Although this song sounds amazing it's quite a relief how it didn't make it in. The dynamic would have been totally different with Anna wanting to prove herself as someone although not the same with Elsa, equal (which is a concept heavily explored in other stories already) rather than the final product's more unique focus on sisterly-love. Plus, I love how Anna is confident in her own right and seemingly disinterested in the throne and more with being back on good terms with her older sister.
Actually it could have been pretty interresting though to involve this song in the original storyline 'cause Elsa was first supposed to be the villain. ;)
This is very Wicked-y. I love it.
Yes, I think it looks like The wizard and I
1:17 Defying Gravity ;o
Yes!!
Yeah. Like Emerald city in some places (the tune), sometimes "Wizard and I", then some hints of "Defying Gravity" in the general message and a lot of "I'm not that girl".
The way frozen is actually a great exploration into childhood emotional neglect
I really hope they'll have the actors record the outtakes to include as deleted scenes on the DVD.
That would be so amazing
that would be AWESOME!!!!
They do. Get the Frozen DVD when it comes out. Make sure you look on the back. You could jjust get the CD though.
The outtake versions (like this one) are on the deluxe CD.
***** yes they are, I have the CD and they are on it, at least they are if you get the 2 disc version.
Don't really need it to be in the movie, but i needed it in my life.
Highly relatable.
Love it.
and so the wait begins for the extended edition
This movie would be much better with all of these outtakes...
RadaTwirl The movie was great! I wouldn't have switched out any songs, but I'd love it if they'd pfft- made it let's say 3 hours+? xD Nah, but seriously. The outtakes are great, but so are the songs used in the movie!
This song was more about Hans than it was about Anna.
Agreed
How
Its for anna in an alternate ending
@@mb-sb5everhe wanted to be more and gain his brothers' respect even tho he's just last in line
So he became desperate and did what he did in the movie
@@jilimarieindelible465 that's an interesting take
Damn, they shoulda incorporated this song. Though they did a great job with Anna's character and her development in the movie, she kinda fell flat compared to her sister, Elsa. This song really adds dimension to her character that was sorely lacking in the film. I find that I relate more to the 'second best sister,' Anna, rather than the ''perfect', talented, charismatic sister,' Elsa, cuz... My bro is the perfect one in the family. However, I understand. They could never fit all that in 2 hours.
Maybe in the Musical they'll include it! :DDD
I love how you can sort of hear bits of the First Time in Forever!
They should've added this song since it shows more character in Anna's personality. In Frozen, Anna didn't really have any personality flaws to overcome, just those physical challenges like her relationship with Elsa and bringing back summer, but that;s about it. If this song was in the movie, it would've made Anna seem more human and flawed, even is she were similar to Hans - besides, she won't be exactly like Hans like the creators thought, because she is desperate to reconnect with her sister unlike him with his brothers.
Shaina Gonzales broadway
J.J P Anna cannot be simply defined by the trait 'she is desperate for love.' What the heck type of negative trait is that? In the end, she does not overcome this 'negative trait' because she STILL ends up marrying a guy she just met. In the end, her character does not hold much water.
Shaina Gonzales you're wrong
J.J P They got engaged, my mistake. More time? Yeah, one night and one day is totally enough time. By the end of the movie, we still don't know why Kristoff is an orphan! Where did Kristoff meet Sven? Anna and Kristoff barely spent the movie getting to know each other.
And now, she is the Queen!
Long may she reign!
From what I see from the comments the disadvantages of siblings are like this:
Eldest: too much responsibility/pressure to set an example
Middle: Often ignored but still expected to set an example
Youngest: Stuck in the eldest's shadow
TheNumnutRandomness I have two younger sisters, and I can confirm that this is true.
I can confirm. I'm the eldest
Don't worry Anna, you'll end up being the queen anyway. ;)
Why didn't they include this song? It's amazing and now I feel like I know Anna better.
+someamorplease Very funny, and at what point did Anna feel underappreciated?
+0deadx21 Who's trying to be funny........? They actually said in the introduction "it helped us tap into Anna's character" so can you please not? Never used the words under appreciated either, just felt like her character could have been richer. I get it's a kids film but usually you make a connection and feel an affiliation to a character, but as Disney's first venture into a film with two main characters / princesses I think they lost some of that connection and personality by spreading it across two characters.
someamorplease Very funny. Nothing was lost.
calebmon Are you trolling? Yes, yes you are.
calebmon LMAO kill em
This button wants to flyyy - wait, buttons can't fly, that doesn't make any sense XD
even if it's an outtake, I want this to be in the broadway musical. (if there will be one)
It's Not. LOL
I totally hear the bits they recycled later for Let It Go and For The First Time In Forever. So cool.
Yep yep yep I hear it toooo, glad they made two song from it
You can hear how For first time in forever melody was inspired in this
2:50
Anna may be bad at metaphors but she's fairly good at similes.
In Broadway productions based off Disney films, they always seem to add in another song or two. If Frozen goes on Broadway (which I'm almost certain it will eventually) they can just use these cut songs! Although including this one might make the first act feel cluttered.
Out of all these outtakes why does this one sound so familiar even though I don’t think I ever heard of it?
I feel like a spare around my older sister. :\
Welcome to my life. -_-
aha i have two . - . so that makes me the third spare? sucks o 3 o
But the TRUTH is it's NOT THAT EASY being the first one to be born. Trust me, being the oldest is a tough one, all expectations is on your shoulder. :'((
Carla Ririi As the oldest sister, I'm the scapegoat...
Carla Ririi lol you guys should try being the middle born :P
Why wasn't this in the movie??! It would of given Anna so much more character development in the movie
I'm guessing they just wouldn't have had time to go in depth enough about these feelings, so they just ditched the entire idea :( Pretty unfortunate, but better than if they just stuck it in without developing it enough
I love this song so much
I hate that they cut this song. I know that it was cut because they thought it made Anna seem too similar to Hans, but really there's no better way to contrast two characters than to put them in similar situations and see how they react, Anna keeping optimistic and Hans trying to find any way out of it, despite the cost. Maybe if they really are adapting Frozen into a live musical, they can fit this song in!
It's super interesting that you can hear a melody that sounds somewhat like "For the First Time In Forever" at 1:47.
"Bad at metaphors..."
I literally laughed out loud, which is really saying something. I'm writing an essay for English while I listen to this.
English essay buddies!!!!
"I'm the extra button..."
"I'm a rusty horseshoe hanging up..."
These are metaphors. They don't use the word 'like' or 'as a', instead opting to directly call her these things.
"Like a button, like a horseshoe..."
THESE are similes. They use 'like'.
yes but all similes are metaphors so it doesn't really matter, it's like saying a square someone drew isn't a rectangle even though all squares are rectangles lol
Thought I just explained the difference...
+ravonosify I noticed that too... Drove me crazy, ahaha
Exactly!
Rectangles are not squares
I feel like this makes more sense in the context of frozen 2. Since anna becomes queen at the end.
Love the metaphor line.
"So I'm the extra button"
Did anyone else think that she said 'butt' at first, and then laughed like a minion?
And then she becomes queen
Ok, the "horse shoe" thing made me smile. x)
"So I'll never be the heir," well... about that...
Like a combination of "I'm Not That Girl" and "The Wizard and I" from Wicked. Love it :D must include in the Broadway adaptation
Im one of nine kids, the youngest, and despite this my parents still pressure me for perfection. Along with this I am a triplet, try being part of a set and wanting to be in any part different and have any attention that come within a positive light.
reminds me of ''the wizard and i'' from wicked :)
Hoping this features in Prince Harry the musical next
This is a musical type song that should've been used for the roadway version
Is it just me or in the beginning can you hear a bit of For the First Time in Forever..
Yeah, they reused bits of the tune.
Thats what i was thinkin
Really? At the start I heard the Spring Pageant outtake
The beginning was the Spring Peagent, but they rebuilt someof this for For The First Time in Forever. When the metaphors start, that's the melody of "that window is open, so's that door..." and somewhere there's also the melody of "wow am I so ready for that change"
why did they drop this, a song that actually adds to Anna's wonderful character, but keep useless songs like Reindeer Are Better Than People and In Summer? Anna deserved at least one song to herself. she's the dang star.
What about "For The First Time In Forever" or "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?"
+Krystal Casey Do you wanna build a snowman added a bit of character to Anna and Elsa and betrayed how they had gotten separated after that incident. As for In Summer it just kind of introduced Olaf and added to his character. For the first time in forever and the beginning song I dot see the point and feel as if they were just here for no reason. Also possibly the troll song. I felt like one of the older plots (the one with evil Elsa and the prophecy) I felt was better.
Meg 54321 imo For the First time in Forever showed us how Anna was excited to be able to finally get out and, as she put it, change her lonely world, and both songs showed how quirky she is through things such as how she moved during the songs (ex: wrapping herself up in a curtain, accidentally tossing the small statue thing when she was holding it and spinning, her riding her bike in the hallway, or when she was in front of the clock making "tick tock noises with her tongue") but iryo

this is amazing
It makes sense why they cut the song, but dammit it's just so offing PRETTY!!!! >.<
I love how some parts sound like "First Time In Forever" which was Anna's song in the final result. It gives the song that unique Anna feel... The lyrics are also adorably clever, omg this song, omg!!!! Dx
kodili101 yea
exactly
This song didn't have a place in the first movie.....buuuuut it could be BEAUTIFUL in the sequel!!!! I really love this song!!! It may be my favorite one, actually....
+Raven_Darkwood I wish they'd take some of their rejected songs and shove them into the sequel. That'd be great.
***** I KNOW RIGHT!!!!!!
I would have loved to see the version of Frozen where all these songs got used
This sounds so much like "First time in forever"
Me and my friend sing this as a duet! after hearing Lifes Too Short I fell in love with mean Elsa so thats how i wanted this song to be! with Anna's part being sang with hope and enthusiasm and Elsa's being sung condesending and cruel, I dont hate Elsa and love how she is in the movie but i also think that her being evil or at least as close to it as she can get is an interesting concept! Here are the lyrics!
Elsa:
You're not part of the town, not born to be queen
Just somebody hopelessly inbetween
I'm the scholar, athlete, poet
You're the screw up
Anna:
Don’t I know it
Elsa:
But then who could ever compare?
Of course they’re gonna think you're just the spare
Anna:
Well I won’t care
So I’m the extra button on a coat
In case another one comes loose
But if I have to be a button
Why can't I be a button that’s of use?
I may lack style and I may lack grace
And once in a while I might fall on my face (Oops!)
But this little button deserves a place in the sky
This button wants to fly
Elsa:
Buttons can’t fly, don't be ridiculous!
Anna:
So I’m a rusty horseshoe hanging up
Over somebody’s old barn door
Elsa:
And you'll be hanging there forever
Just wishing the horse had one leg more
Anna:
And maybe I can’t be the perfect one
And maybe I err on the side of fun
But horseshoes need a chance to run somewhere
This horseshoe is more than just a spare
Someday I’ll find my thing
A thing that’s on my own
That thing that makes me part of something
Not just all alone
Elsa:
If only all that feeling you have in you're heart
Could mean something to someone (As if!)
Anna:
How I’d love to play that part
So I’m just the second born sister
Who most of the town ignores
Like a button, like a horseshoe
Elsa:
Like a girl who’s bad at metaphors
Anna:
Maybe I don’t have a magic touch
And maybe I don’t have a talent as such
Just this heart with much too much to share
Elsa:
You'll never be the heir
Anna:
But I’m more than just a spare ( *Crash* Ahh!)
Lol me listening to this song when I was 9 in 2015 and remembering like every word
you can hear the melody of for the first time in forever on some parts
A lot of people seem to relate to this song strongly. Why didn't they out it in the movie?? It was also really good!
I wish they had left this in. Would have differentiated her from Rapunzel a bit more.
I love it! Though I don't think they should've taken it out, because a lot of Anna is overlooked and under appreciated compared to Elsa. It's showing that yeah Anna is the 2nd born sister, she may not have powers like Elsa, but so what? She is MORE than just the spare! Her role is an incredible role in the movie and her personality is just the sweetest! I wish more people could see this so they would know how much Anna means to the movie.
This song and a few others convince me that as much as I liked Frozen it left a better movie in an earlier draft.
this really reminds me of wicked :o
No! It is like Making Good!!!! The deleted song!!!!! from wicked!!! that was replace by the wizard!!! And i!!!!! I like Exclamation marks!!!

A good chunk of this song's melody reminds me of "For the First Time in Forever". Does anyone else hear the similarity? Like at 1:19 when she says "So Im an extra button on a coat" sounds very similar to when Anna says "The windows are open (so's that door!)"
I think once the decision was made to cut this song, they borrowed from the melody to add onto 'For the First Time in Forever'. Maybe it was so they didn't feel that they completely threw away all the work they put into this song and it was a little reminder for them or the people who knew. But those are just my thoughts!

0:44 Let it Go
1:19 For the First Time in Forever
Honestly, this song would have been incredible for the sequel! I personally feel like Anna would have really benefited with having a song similar to Elsa’s Into the Unknown with them both longing for something different and feeling awkward in their roles.
"Presenting her majesty, Queen Anna of Arendelle!"
I love the spring has sprung melody being incorporated it’s so pretty
Anna: I'm more than just a spare.
Hans: Be Prepared.
This is by far my FAVORITE of the outtake songs! I love it so much!
“Not born to be queen”
Well-
Cute song and honestly I would have wished for some more development between Elsa and Anna.
Whoah. I thought a LOT of Hans during this song.
If Anna feels like a spare with only ONE older sister, imagine how being thirteenth in the family! Instant reason to turn into a megajerk.
I feel like they should have kept this song but changed it,
because we all know Anna is kinda weird and clumbsy right so maybe this song should have been more of like "why did elsa shut me down is it cuz im weird I talk to the paintings on the wall is it because Im a screw up ?" something like that. I really like this song and I feel like I can relate to this song, and Anna herself I'm just saying its just my opinion, and excuse my grammar and spelling !!
Agreed. I think this is the best outtake song of them all. I just like the song for Anna's optimism and metaphors. I like your idea of the song about 'why Elsa is shutting Anna down because she's weird' but I guess that may be too whiny a song for Anna. I wish it can also convey that Anna knows that she can still do awesome things for her kingdom & Elsa and that she's not just a spare. Because in 'we know better' she said she will be Elsa's right hand! (but that won't make sense in the movie lol.)
I like your Idea too, but yeah it wouldn't because it was kinda ment for a different script
Spare?
Am I really just the spare?
I'm not part of the town, not born to be queen
Just somebody hopelessly in-between
She's the scholar, athlete, poet

But if I have to be a button
Why can't I be a button that's of use?
Oops
I may lack style and I may lack grace
And once in a while I'll fall on my face
But this little button deserves a place in the sky
This button wants to fly
Wait! Buttons can't fly, that doesn't make any sense
So I'm a rusty horseshoe hanging up over somebody's old barn door
And I'll be hanging there forever just wishing the horse had one leg more
And maybe I can't be the perfect one
And maybe I'm air at the side of fun
But horseshoes need a chance to run somewhere

Maybe I don't have a talent as such
Just this heart with much too much to share
So I'll never be the air
But I'm more than just the spare
Sorry
"like a girl who's bad at metaphors" lol. This is a great song, but i can see why it isn't in the movie.
Man, these outtakes may have been cut, but they're just as good as the others! This one especially, since it proved it wasn't a spare song and had purpose. =3
No. It was deleted because then Anna would become more like Hans, who felt inferior to his 12 older brothers which made him desire power and admiration
FlyToYourHeart00 Excellent point on this one, but regardless, the quality of the outtakes equals and/or the officials.
So, would you say this song was... More than Just a Spare?
thecupcakestealer101 Yup, I most certainly would. (^w^)
This sounds like a mix of "For the first in forever" and "The Wizard and I" for me
Ha, I like this! I can hear the the similarities of first time in forever!
I can hear the similarity to The First Time in Forever. Which is kind of cool.
I just really, really love this song
If this song had existed, Disney would have never do Encanto.
why? encanto is nothing like frozen it’s literally about a latin anerican family and how their trauma affects them
@@lilac3266 Literally Anna is singing about not having powers and how hopeless she feels when Elsa takes all the attention, she wants to show everyone she's still worth it even if she's "normal". Have you listened to "Wainting on a miracle"? It has the same meaning, I don't think Disney would have repeated the same story with the main 2 characters having the same goal.
@@danielanoriega9946 waiting on a miracle is a very different vibe. Reminder that Anna doesn’t know about Elsa’s powers until AFTER the coronation and elsa is the only person that we know of in this universe with power. Anna just feels like she’s in Elsa’s shadow whilst for mirabel her entire family has gifts and she is literally ostracized for not having one. This song is Anna wanting to be out of elsas shadow waiting on a miracle is mirabel begging for her family particularly abuela to give her a chance to be appreciated. “Open your eyes” because abuela is so blinded by the miracle and their gifts she doesn’t realize the pain she’s causing to mirabel. Very different songs the only common theme is character feels like outsider but you could argue the same vibes are in let it go or how far I’ll go.
@@lilac3266 As I see, when Anna says "Magic Touch" she clearly knows about Elsa's powers in this early version of the story. Elsa is totally perfect and she has powers too? XD Of course she feels left out😅
@@danielanoriega9946 magic touch is just a common phrase actually? if someone says you have a magic touch for *insert thing* it just means you’re good at something. Anna doesn’t remember Elsa’s powers because she got her memory wiped when they were kids
Even though they cut this song from frozen, i really feel like they brought back the ideas from it for mirabel in encanto
wow this actually sounds really good! if only its in the film......
omg!!! why wasnt this in the film
I also love "We know better"
***** because For the 1st time in forevere was chosen
Elsa was my favorite in the movie, but with the plot in this song, I think Anna would be my favorite. Elsa sounds to...perfect and beloved in this one.
They totally should have put this in the movie!!!! :3
Hey, does anybody know if there is / will be a scene/special/whatever for this song where you can actually see Anna when she sings this?
mh, you're totally right, yeah.. ok, now I understand how they didn't put it in the movie then; but still I'd love to see Anna singing it :3
***** they misquoted Bob Iger he didn't say it was going to be made for Broadway he said it was being adapter for the stage which could be for a Disney Cruise Line or Disney Park. He hasn't said what type of stage show.
I think For the first time in forever replaced this.. (lol if you think im dumb sorry)
me too
Possibly, especially since the melody is somewhat similar to "For the first time in forever" at times.
I think so too because of the end when it sounds like she runs into Hans.
If everything above it true it would make sense. Elsa was supposed to be the villain originally (until Let It Go got recorded, so I heard), and with that being changed Disney needed another villain, so Hans was introduced to fit it. As of such, this wasn't totally necessary, and it would've been too much of a deviation. That's production for ya, harsh cuts like this :P I mean the story turned out amazing still, did it not? :)
Actually, with all the other outtakes, it seems she was never supposed to be the villain.
She has a great voice for Anna!
anna really is bad at metaphors
@@charlesmanalo7073 Similes are metaphors.
Charles Manalo that’s exactly how she’s bad at them
I love this because it shows Anna's determination and stubborn manner
I love the outtakes but I can see why they're not in it, they take the story in a totally different direction. If this had been Anna's opening song then Life's Too Short probably would have been a better song between them in the ice palace, because although this song is crazy happy it does set up more tension between the two of them. I love it all though. I want to see it on Broadway, so that it'll find its way to the West End eventually!
I like all of this. I like how they have a mix. Sometimes I feel this way.
