the sims 2 nightlife was my first sims 2 expansion and I remember playing a family in the downtown area for like 3 days and I got super attached to them all and then one of them died because the dishwasher broke and tried to fix it but ended up getting electrocuted instead and I think I cancelled the sims 2 for a month.

Sims 4 is essentially a remake of sims 2, but with less attention to detail. I miss the little things, like being able to feed your toddler out of a dog bowl.. or the toddler werewolf's clawing up the furniture. I miss cars, even if all it did was pull out a drive way and bring you to a loading screen. I miss Genies. Also, the wolves with glowing eyes can bite you and turn you into a werewolf.
One of the little hidden details I remember about Sims 2 toddlers was how they'd sometimes climb out of their cribs. I had that happen a few times, but it was unusual and I think you had to teach them to walk before they'd do it.
Actually, that's sort of what they did. They went from open world back to single lots and loading screens when you want to go to another lot. The major difference is they took away the gameplay and just minimised everything. There's more to do in TS1 base game than in 4 ... and it's overall a damn sight better game.
I think Sims 1 ? had an expansion called 'Hot Date' or something like that. Enough said, my mother refused to let me touch the game while that pack was installed (so basically till Sims 2 got released XD)

If you still have the case with the codes you can go on origin and download them with the code. If the code doesnt work get into a chat and they will give you sims 2 and all the expansion packs for free. That's what I did :)

I loved Sims 1: Hot Date and Sims 2: Nightlife! Back then the games were much more risqué and didn't pander to children as Sims 4 does.

You can download it online... there's a clean (no-virus etc.) version hosted on a site for abandonware, if you're so inclined.
If you still have the case with the codes you can go on origin and download them with the code. If the code doesnt work get into a chat and they will give you sims 2 and all the expansion packs for free. That's what I did :)
