- Hello everyone, this is Charles Lee. I get asked all the time by dragon fruit growers what kind of soil I use, either "Fox Farm" or "Gary's Best". And why are my plants so healthy. Since I am a licensed Civil Engineer with a solid background in Geotechnical (Soil) Engineering, obtained a Master's Degree in this field, I have studied soil properties, composition, and drainage extensively. I create my own dragon fruit soil mix, and I am disclosing my recipe to the community to help you make your own exclusive premium mix for cultivating dragon fruit.
Being aware that dragon fruit is a subtropical plant and that it needs sandy soil with enough drainage can help keep it from rotting and developing disease. With Leewi Farms' Dragon Fruit Soil Mix, we have had an abundance of fruits to enjoy. Our plant materials are free from disease and rot even in the midst of the wet season, chilly winter nights, and three-digit summer temperatures. Happy Growing, Cheers 🥂🐉

Happy Growing, Cheers!
Perfect combination. Thanks Charles!
You’re very welcome, Alik 🙏
Sir, there is a lot of compost and forest products in those bags of potting soil. It will be bad in the long term in our experience. Check out our 2 year journey to learn about dragon fruit potting soil on our channel.
Will do!
Best soil for dragon fruit is Gary’s Top pot mix with Gary’s acid mix. 💯
Second best, look here😂😍🥰
Thank you for sharing! I think this mix will work well in South Florida where we get a lot of rain.
Nice, Happy Growing, hope you have lots of fruits to enjoy next season, cheers🥂
I challenge you to try same mix but substitute 10% of mg potting mix. with pumice and 5% biochar charged with compost tea I bet you see better results then your mix 😉
Thanks for your comment, the mix I show in the video is my base mix. And yes, I amend my dragon fruit soil mix occasionaly to provide the plant materials a variety of flavors including compost tea, worm casting, fish bone meal and such. Happy plants happy life lol
Why are so many You Tube video makers using bad music to ruin their videos?
I think your mixture lacks pumice. Big and small ones.
