In responce to your thoughts on yoyo practice! Yoyo practice always makes me feel amazing as well. I don't know if it is just the dopamine getting released to your brain or simply the joy you feel when you land all your tricks, but yoyo practice has always been a pleasurable experience for me. I believe that yo-yoing is an art form and because music is involved, it engages many areas of the brain! Yoyoing is an art form, a workout, and a creative outlet! Because there are so many things involved in yoyoing it just makes the brain happier! I also think that engaging in your passion makes you feel good no matter what.

I got myself an NSK gold plated (origion are probably better i wanted gold for my yoyo to contrast) and yes no shields! It's just important to keep them clean Nsk is amazing and worth the price. Dsrk matter lube will help prolong its life. They also run raw very well. Haven't tried ceramics since they are made to use dry but aye I prefer NSK and most standard bearings
just got my outlier 2 in the mail.... absolutely AMAZING, well worth the wait for it to get here 1000000%, in the mean time i picked up a pragma and a DGTZR, within the first few minutes of picking up the outlier 2 i was landing tricks with ease that were much less consistent with the other two yoyos, this one feels so much more controllable it honestly feels absolutely amazing, you did a straight up amazing job on the outlier dude for real, and thank you for the concave bearing instead of the center track, feel the concave work alot better, for me anyways. Ive been wanting to experiment with the different shapes and sizes but idk if i need to do that anymore after getting the outlier haha feel like i found my shape XD
I don't understand why yoyos still ship with shielded bearings. I find they just make the bearing harder to clean and perform worse. The shields don't really seem to stop the bearing from getting dirty they instead just stop dirt from being able to exit the bearing once it's in there. I've gotten a few bearings that were defective and made the yoyo unpredictably responsive until I took the shields off.

Good question! I play like just normal background music and crank through the individual tricks at a slightly faster pace. Then I go through with the freestyle music and rep that out.
