- In this video, we'll review some of the most common Creations update issues I've seen for Skyrim on Xbox. There are more quirks, but between this video and your comments, that should cover most of the issues. While we are a few months into this update, some may not have picked up the game since or had issues and stopped playing. This one is for you!

@@JJ-zb7ce it’s kind of hard to do stuff like that in the comments, unfortunately. It looks like you might need to rearrange some things like High Poly Project and LoS. I would recommend reading mod descriptions for placement.
I did make a beginner tips video as well that might help. That’s a lot of stuff so there could be some conflicts with mods that do the same things. Gameplay stuff like Mysticism and Adamant should be towards the top. If you’re new to modding, I wouldn’t suggest a list as big as that.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger I'm sort of new but I've definitely made one this big work before I just find the order part confusing thanks tho a lot of them are bundles just some wouldn't bundle together thats why it got so long
@@JJ-zb7ce Heard that. Feel free to take a gander at any of my lists to kind of see how I set things up.
Generally, I go with Big Patch/game overhaul stuff, map/UI mods (make sure you have an updated one so it doesn't break your mod men), Armor/character mods/weapons, graphics/textures/water. Then anything that says it needs to be at the bottom. That'll usually be stuff that needs to overwrite everything like an XP32 skeleton mod or something performance related.
If I see something mentioned in a mod description of a mod not working with another or a particular placement then I'll readjust based on that. If you get into the habit of thinking how things should load then you'll get better at it overtime 💯
The ghost space when downloading is because mods are apparently ‘extracted’ and require more space than the indicated download size to install. So, yeah, download your biggest mods like graphics, sound, etc first. Edit for clarification: the mods do take the indicated space when installed, not more, but it’s like if you zip a file that’s already compressed. Extracting that zip takes up the space of the download and the contents both, before deleting the zip file itself.
That one definitely makes more sense now because of my day job. We deal a lot with reorders - I work for a print company - and new files are being uploaded with a reorder. The zip is sometimes smaller depending on how many files our site pulls for the reorder folder. Then it can get crazy when we extract.
Quick tips: To stop the reshuffling, disable the 'missing creation check on load' in the load order options menu.
Another tip for downloading mods taking double space issue is to use the creations bethesda site to add mods to your library. Then in the load order options menu again you can use the 'download all creations in my library' option. This doesn't require the extra space. Just make sure to remove any mods you don't want from your library on the site.

Hey man, thank you so much for this video. I’ve been playing Skyrim since a little after its release and it’s been very dear to my heart throughout my life.
It’s been breaking my heart recently trying to get the game to work with all these mods that so many talented creators have passionately worked on.
It’s really annoying that Bethesda doesn’t bother to solve the issue but it’s great that people like you are helping make people aware of what’s breaking the game.
It's probably not an easy fix for Bethesda but it can be addressed since there are Bethesda.net issues with Fallout 4 at the moment too. Submitting tickets to Bethesda with issues can help push issues to the top of their lists so I always recommend that. I don't think anyone there wants to keep you from playing with mods. We'll just have to roll with it for the time-being.

The double the space needed of the the mod you want to download only applies in the Creations menu. To workaround you can create a save, then delete a larger texture mod. Download the mods you want to add. Hard reset then load your save. Game asks if you want to download the missing mod. Say yes. No additional space is required in game to download.
I had an issue with ghost space recently and downloaded everything in my list until Skyland LODs. Deleted Wyrmstooth, downloaded Skyland LODs, then reinstalled Wrymstooth. Found myself getting more mods in my load order by doing this trick. CC content was downloaded first too.
Having a list of your mods separately from Xbox will allow you to do try this trick without forgetting your mods.
Archive your load order after every few mods to ensure they stay in order as you download more of them. It gets annoying downloading them all in order just to reorder 100 mods.

it was a feat for sure. My first two load orders before this current one had issues with causing the game to crash on start up. Downloaded all 106 mods and did the moistcr1tikal scream 🤣🙌

An issue I found is that not all of your bookmarks will show up in your bookmarks. Typically, things with numbers or other characters in the beginning. That, and if you go to someone's page of mods, it won't show all of them either. (It's usually in ABC order and won't show anything past like M)
That is interesting. I knew there was a limit but not about that last part. I wonder if that stuff gets truncated after you fill up your bookmarks. Like in alphabetical order but numbers/special characters go first. And then maybe some variation of that with the Search.
@Matt_the_TechRanger More times than not, you have to use the website to see the full list of your bookmarks or the Creators/Porters mods. I only realized this when re-downloading my LO, and some of the mods that said they were bookmarked weren't even there. It makes it difficult to find patches, especially for things like JK's Skyrim AIO.
@@PeskyPennyX I think I cleared a bunch out but probably need to go through everything again at some point. I feel the pain about patches though! When I did the video on JK, it took longer than I thought cause of that, lol.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Yeah, there are so many patches for so many different mods in the JK series. I'm pretty sure it was with the Porters page of mods that I found out that it doesn't show them all. Sorting it in a different way doesn't seem to help either

What about on xbox one x you've nearly finished you load order but still have a few mods to add. It flashes out to the main menu and when you log back in it's a Grey login screen instead of the black. It looks like two mods on the old menu are loading but nothing comes up. I hate this because the only way I found to access the creations mods menu again and access my load order is if I delete my saves and reserved space and clear everything.
It doesn’t matter which Xbox you have. Still the same menu/system. Your game saves have a copy in the cloud so deleting the reserved space only clears mods. If you have older UI/menu mods installed then that usually breaks the mod menu and the menu can look like that.
This has happened 3 times to me. It's really frustrating. I too, will be 5 or maybe 10 mods away and it fades black. Then I'm back at xbox main menu. When I try to log back in, I'm looking at 2 spin blank mods that never load...it sucks. So I feel your pain.
Hey looking for some help I’ve just created a mod load order an my only issue I have is I can’t use my hot key on controller up on the D pad doesn’t work anymore any fixes? First time trying mods
If you have any custom keybindings or a mod that changes those like Kontrol then that could be it. There's an updated version of Kontrol but I haven't tried it yet.
When you say Hard Reset, is this the Everything option or save game data one? I don't want to press the remove everything option unless I have to. Also I should add, what is with this small 20 or so Gb of space that is already being used before I download anything? Is that normal?
Hard reset is when you hold the Xbox button until the console shuts off. You can also hold it on your console and it’s the ‘Restart Console’ option. Only deleting your Reserved Space would delete your mods. If you have space used up already then you may have Creation Club things installed. It would be MB not GB 👍
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Thank you for letting me know! I have been doing it as I should then. I cant not figure out what this 28MB is from. I tried uninstalling it, and I don't even have the upgrade installed either- which I idek if I need to download that now cause it seems creations will work regardless. Like If It just stuck there, whatever. 28mb isn't gonna ruin a list, just odd to see.
@@Pandemoniac070 yea mods are available for everyone. That upgrade wouldn’t help with mod space. There were some free Creation clubs mods that were given to everyone when the Anniversary updates dropped. Fishing, Saints and Seducers, Survival Mode, and Rare Curios. I’d imagine some or all of those could have installed.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger So I doubled checked by playing the games with no mods installed, and no creations enabled. From what I am seeing the game is telling me all creations are installed, even though I don't see them downloaded. So what I am guessing is somehow they doubled and all I have to do is just carry on as is and not worry about space. Cause at least now I know it isn't ghost space. Thank you again!
I found a little issue and figured a fix for it:
I wasn't able to download mods not update them, it gave me a network failure. After a few tries I discovered that if the Xbox doesn't sync to the cloud then Bethesda gives these issues.
That’s a good catch. That it could be the Xbox Cloud.

After creating my new modded character I got a pop up on the screen saying "ITEM UNREGISTERED, DELETING NOW" Do you know what causes this and how to fix it?
It could be that there is a mod installed that may not have carried over with the server migration they did. Since there’s that check that happens when you open the mod menu now. Searching for it would be a good way to check if it’s still there. Or if you open your list and see a file name then that means it’s delisted.
You can try a console hard reset and unplug from the wall. That should clear the cache when you load back up.
The only problem I’ve really seen that I can’t seem to find a fix for is when getting into the mod menu it infinitely loads which prevents me from adding new mods the only fix I’ve found is clearing the reserve space and redownloading the mods it’s just slightly annoying if I want to add any new mods or update them
You can also try a hard reset on the console before doing that. Could just be an internet thing.
I have a problem where when i reinstalled skyrim all of the mods i had installed before i deleted it will forever stay in the my library page even after i re-download and then delete the creation. Is there any way to fix that?
Clear your Reserved Space and do a hard reset and that should clear your cache. Sounds like your old stuff was still being pulled from somewhere.
Is there actually a search tab on this new creations menu for console on xbox? I can't see a way to type and search for mods now.
Of course! They just switched the buttons around. Probably to make it easier for you to buy Credits 🤣 Controls are on the bottom of the page but LB is the new Search.
Yo. I have problems with accessing my load order. When I press the "Y" Button. (Cuz I'm on Xb1) It doesn't work. Same with the "Category List", " options" and even the "Purchase Credits"! I don't have no idea why it isn't working. Tips?
If you have any custom bindings in the game then that can make those options not work on the Creations menu.
I deleted Skyrim months ago and only downloaded it again a few days ago and on the title screen the option for the creator club and mods isn’t there is there something I can do or is it just a thing anymore
Mods are still there but they’ve been renamed to Creations. There’s some links in the description that might help with the menu option not showing. Could be Xbox permissions like I showed in the vid. If you checked that and the links then it might be worth submitting a ticket to Bethesda 👍
Hey dude! Is the gameplay recorded on xbox? If it is which armor mods on xbox by nordwarua are very low quality. Even the tommas666 ports.
Yea I’m on Xbox. Textures seem okay to me. Can’t beat the size for what it adds. Love the variety the Realistic Armor Overhaul brings with NordWar’s stuff.

@@CZF.11 Definitely strange. I don’t remember there being different versions with different resolutions but maybe there was a low res version uploaded. I couldn’t find LoveKing’s upload after the update but found them in Realistic Armor Overhaul.

@@CZF.11 yea the_LoveKing had an AiO version of NordWar at one point. I think he also incorporated some of that into his Omen Armor packs too.
Is there any way to get an mcm on Xbox? I feel like there’s options for some of the mods in my order I’m not able to fully utilize due to not having an mcm
No I probably wouldn’t count on it. Most of the mods that have options will usually be available via a spell or power and that’ll be it. Given how many issues came with Creations, an MCM would cause way more I think 😜

The game is just not letting me select any of the mods I have even though it’s bugged and now I can’t do some stuff like trade with my follower. I’m genuinely getting frustrated since the game is just not letting me fix it. It’s genuinely stupid that they don’t have console commands on the console version.
I don’t like how there ain’t pages or a next button anymore cause if your like me and want to check favorites page for stuff you only get so many and can’t go to another page or see all of them
If you scroll through the favorites on the main page, you should see a ‘View All’ button like the other sections.
Mine acts like it's got data constipation! It's taking forever to even get a mod to download, the controller works fine. The page acts like it doesn't want to work.
🤣 Sometimes the servers can get overloaded and that can cause slow downloads, kind of like when you download a game on its launch day. Other times it can be internet if you’re on WiFi. A hard reset on the console might kickstart things for ya. Restarting or doing that for game downloads will usually get things going (if the servers are slammed). I usually only get hung up on downloads for larger mods.
i click on creations and it doesnt load from there it shows the old mod menu with 2 greyed out boxes on top of eachother and i have updated everything
Sounds like you had a menu/UI mod installed which is keeping you from seeing the menu. Unfortunately, you'll have to clear your Reserved Space to get back in. Just be sure to avoid UI/menu mods that don't say they work with the update. Made a video on safe ones.

User interface mod broke my controllers so can’t press the b button for my menus how do I fix this problem on Xbox?
Try resetting your controls to default. If it's a mod that is still installed, you'll have to clear your reserved space.
I keep having an issue where my mods will disable themselves and reorder themselves messing everything up
I saw that when the update first happened but haven't since. If you can get to Bethesda.net and log in, take a look at your library, and remove any duplicates then that might work. Could be something similar to the duplicate mods showing but maybe it disables one in this case.
Even after I did everything you said and my creation and or Mod menu never popped up on my main menu screen
You’d probably want to reach out to Bethesda Support then. That was the their solution but they might be able to see more on their end or if it might be something tied to your Bethesda Account that’s blocking you.

@@mikethegamr I haven't seen a mod that says it doesn't work with a DLC. I've heard from some that the Unofficial Patch might cause some issues in Far Harbor but not sure if that's the only culprit. Some mods might require DLC though. You can read mod descriptions to see those.
I recently downloaded The Skylands aio and lod mods but they wont load everytime I install them it keeps sayling lacking permissions ,Even though i have other mods that work perfectly fine on my Xbox.
So are you on PC and Xbox? It sounds like a mod manager or SKSE issue but I'm not familiar with PC stuff
I'm on Xbox, Whenever I redownload it and try to play it says "Lacking permissions to write to folder of download. Operation Cancelled."
@@ZakariaOng Weird. Maybe it downloaded incorrectly. Maybe try a hard reset of the console first to clear the cache if you haven't already. Then the next step would probably be to delete the mod and try reinstalling.

Could be the Xbox Permissions. You could also try relinking your Bethesda account and doing a hard reset. Worth checking both before contacting support.
What is the name of this movement and running animation?
Gritty Animations and then using Movement & Behaviors 2 (that's for the roll and the movement). Got em' listed in my last Load order video as well.

Yeah my Skyrim is ruined. I can’t play without it crashing, (I play on Xbox) when I try to download stuff from creation club like mods it straight up crashes and when I try to go back into creation club it doesn’t let me press any buttons, (like I can’t use the search engine or even see my load order.) idk how they did this-
If you uninstall the game, do a hard reset on your console, and the reinstall then that’ll be a fresh start at modding. There must be things that you had installed when the update hit that didn’t work with it. Stuff like UI/Menu mods, 60fps menus, and anything that changes controls like Kontrol if you don’t have updated versions. Bad mod data can stick around on game saves too which can lead to more crashing.
Does 60 FPS menus mod still work. If not is there a way to get my menus in-game to run faster? I noticed the 30 fps big time. Also I noticed my character in game seems to be moving at 30 fps again on Series X. Can I use Beths 60 fps boost, how do I turn that on. Before it seemed on with out me doing anything even after I uninstalled the unlock fps mod. I found that my game ran at 60 even with out that mod so everyone deleted it cause Beth had the game already running at 60 fps. Falllout 3 runs at 60 yet Skyrim runs now at 30 on Series X
I had to clear my saved storage then go to the XBox one then go back to the next gen console to save my saves.

Could be just server/internet things. You can try the offline trick.
I have a ui installed but I don't have any reserved space so how can I delete everything and start fresh?
It would be in your Games and Apps. You sure you’re looking in the right spot? Deleting that will wipe mods.
@Matt_the_TechRanger I deleted from everywhere and Uninstalled and it wiped all mods and data and such :)

If i'm the only one having this problem but A ((big)) problem that I've been having is that can't take mods out once I've downloaded them and saved them Without starting a new game.😢 I was praying.That would have fixed this by now. I can't be the only one This is happening too???
You're not the only one. Unfortunately these issues are just something we'll all have to deal with. You probably did delete it but visually, it still shows there. You can tell by how much space you have left. Best thing to do is not remove mods after the fact so you don't have to deal with that. If you do, you can try doing it with the Offline tip.

Can someone address random mods being removed from Xbox examples are the recorder follower mod and the TARDIS home mod
Either the mod author removes it due to an issue or they don't want it up anymore. Some authors take their mods down to work on updates rather than keeping it available. Or a mod gets reported enough and it gets taken down (i.e. violates the rules).
I have the issue where not only do my mods reshuffle themselves but some will disable themselves. (even mods that are in the correct order)
Yea it’s the same as the mods reshuffling. Not a permanent fix unless Bethesda can update. They seem to be aware of it per the Discord.

@@dilligaff1979 there was an update but maybe that’s something they need more data for 🤷♂️ Might just have to workaround/brute force it for now.

Every suggestion that I have looked up or been told directly by other users do not work.
STEP 1 create mod list
STEP 2 back out to main menu (will get message saying "The creation selection/load order has changed. the game will now reload your data files"
STEP 3 press ok and wait for it to reload
STEP 4 quit to home screen.
STEP 5 hard reset console.
STEP 6 create character and start game.
STEP 7 after character has been created and game has started press start to get to the in game menu and go to the creations club (load order is set but one or more mods not working correctly)
STEP 8 move mod to a different place in the load order.
STEP 9 repeat steps 2 & 3. (And right there is where the mods will rearrange themselves or just get automatically disabled)
STEP 9 Start from step 1 all over again.
This is what I've been doing.

Hey Xbox user here whenever I go to the mod menu it kicks me out after a few minutes any suggestions?
That can happen. Internet things. Probably if there’s a lot of people downloading stuff. You can hard reset but I think that’s more of a Bethesda server thing. It was happening a lot when the update first dropped.
Well hopefully next time I try it again it won't crash but at this point I don't have much hope kinda wish they would change it back to the old look
@@fanglicious4710 this will be the way. Most likely for Starfield as well. It can get better as long as they get feedback 👍 Network congestion isn’t new but maybe these new servers can handle it better if they get updated overtime.

I click on the creations section, and it's just all broken. I can't search for things, can't update things I already have installed, nothing. It's just absolutely dumped on itself.
So you load the Creations menu and what do you see? The new menu or the old?
Same bro. It just loads infinitely but never loads. Can search but it just searches endlessly. It's bs

@@AstriaTVTruthExposed check your Privacy settings on the Xbox. It that’s all good, log into your Bethesda account and unsubscribe from any UI/menu mods. If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to uninstall the game and reinstall. Just record your list somehow before you do. help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/64086

Did you go back online? You will probably want to close out of the game if it’s still open. You can also hard reset the console.
My xbox one of first generation dies over more than 70 mods
You may want to check your list for mod conflicts. 99% of mods are ported/made for work on Xbox One. Mileage can vary but it all comes down to load order.
