    Ohlins Guy, very much looking forward to the upcoming two way adjuster video. We use a lot of low speed on rebound, drag racing with no wheely bar, 1250 hp. TTX 36.

    quick answer to you question to vacuum fill the bladder shock you only need bladder type adapters and you good to go! after filling it just remove the adapter and push the bladder in to the shock body.

    Hey Douglas I love your videos!! Can you please make a video explaining your process for adjusting the low speed clickers for comp and rebound on a race car?

      Hi John. I don't use 3 or 4 way adjusters on my car so the adjustments are only bleed adjustments (low speed). I try to keep them as open as possible. If things get better when they are being closed down I go back and revalve so they can be more open again. You have to be careful on any single tube shock with a reservoir compression adjuster. If you start closing down the rebound or compression independent of one another the shock gets out of balance and bad things happen. The TTX technology does not suffer from this. Also the TTXs are not as fussy when you start closing the bleeds. Still better to try to keep them open. Single tube shocks are really good when they are properly pressure balanced.

    I watched all your videos on UA-cam. It was very informative and a lot new information for me. Thank you for that !!
    I assume you also service a lot of motorcycle forks. Could you share your experience regarding chrome tubes polishing? Maybe you are using some kind of special technique like different sand papers, polishing compounds and etc.? And also what do you think about leaving on chrome tubes scratches - something like hone is on engine cylinders ? I didn't found any useful information regarding this topic. There few shop videos about it but not any expert level discussion... Also there are some interesting fork service provider "KREFT" with their microfinish surface technology. You can find some info on KREFT website.
    Some just do intensive polishing on the lathe by using scotch brite with polishing paste. Some just uses kitchen steel wool. If interesting I could try to post UA-cam links because UA-cam block comments with links 😒
    It could be very interesting information for everyone because it affects all forks and shock absorbers 🙂

      Hi ER. Thanks for watching. You are a glutton for punishment!!! Someone just showed me the special microfinishing. I am far from an expert but I just try to give a little crosshatch with scotchbrite, but this would be with a tube with no damage. I don't know if you have Ohlins forks, but if I find a pitted, scratched or rusted fork surface i just replace the tube. Inside Ohlins tubes run in the $230 range. Sorry I can't be more help.

    Hi, I have the ttx36 McPherson with a small reservoir on the front and ttx36 ilx in the rear, the small reservoir is usefull ? I had Intrax before and the reservoir was a lot bigger . Is my suspension solid piston design? Is from an BMW M4 Gt4 race car .

      Hi. Is that a TTX46 in the front? If so the reservoir serves a much different purpose. The through shaft does not displace any oil so no mechanism for dealing with displaced oil is necessary. All the small reservoir is for is to allow for oil expanded by heat to go. The separator piston in the canister does not move when the shaft moves. In any TTX there is also no need for high pressure in the canister. They are usually set at between 6 and 8 bar because there is no danger of cavitation with that technology. Usually the TTXs have a solid piston. There are pistons available with blow off and high frequency configurations but I rarely see this in the applications I use.

      Good eyes! Yes. Because I service both Ohlins auto and motorcycle shocks I need to use mostly 2 different oils. The new one has 2 oil tanks so I don't have to drain and refill the tank like I had to do in the old one every time I need to switch oils. The old one has 2 tanks but one is only a dump tank for old oil and is not strong enough to be pressurized. This is useful if you just do oil changes in shocks, but I don't believe in that so it was no use to me. The new one has a computerized routine so I tell it what I am doing and then push a button and it does both the vacuuming and filling without me having to do it manually. Doing it manually is not a big deal though. The twin tanks are. I have my old one for sale. It would be great if one was just using one kind of oil or doing oil changes. Great size for a trailer too.
